“I…” Chang Hao cleared his throat, trying to speak.

But before he could say anything, Zheng Yanyan suddenly interrupted, “Hey, hubby, when I was in the restroom, a little bug flew into my eye. Can you take a look for ?”

She ran up to Zhou Yuwen, tilting her face up so he could examine her eye.

Zhou Yuwen gently pulled her eyelids apart, inspecting her eye for a mont. He didn’t see anything, but he still blew lightly into her eye. “I didn’t see any bug, but you’re fine now.”

Zheng Yanyan blinked a few tis and smiled, satisfied. “It feels better now.”

“Good grief, it really scared

earlier. Hug !” she demanded, diving into Zhou Yuwen’s arms.

Zheng Yanyan, clad in a red dress, looked tall and graceful, her skin smooth and fair. Zhou Yuwen chuckled and said, “You’re acting like a child again.”

“In front of you, I am a child!” she retorted. “Because no matter what I do, I’ve got my hubby to spoil .”

From seeing Lu Lin stretch her legs onto Zhou Yuwen's lap under the table earlier, Chang Hao had thought it was just his imagination. But now, after witnessing Zhou Yuwen and Lu Lin in a compromising position, his emotions were in turmoil.

He had co with the intent to expose Zhou Yuwen to Zheng Yanyan, but now, seeing how Zheng Yanyan clung to Zhou Yuwen like a koala, he hesitated.

She liked Zhou Yuwen so much.

And what if he was wrong? What if it really was just an accident—Lu Lin tripping and Zhou Yuwen catching her?

If that were the case, wouldn’t telling Zheng Yanyan now only harm their relationship?

While Chang Hao stood frozen in indecision, Zheng Yanyan tugged at Zhou Yuwen’s arm. “Let’s go back and finish the movie!”

Then, turning to Chang Hao, she asked, “Oh, what were you about to say?”

Startled, Chang Hao shook his head. “N-nothing.”

Zheng Yanyan frowned. “You’re acting weird.”

She continued in a teasing tone, “Oh, and by the way, no more peeking when I kiss Zhou Yuwen, got it?”

“I wasn’t—!” Chang Hao imdiately protested, his face reddening.

“Quiet!” Zheng Yanyan retorted, pouting. “Chang Hao, we might’ve been friends before, but I’ve got a boyfriend now. If you keep treating

like so unattainable crush, what if my boyfriend gets jealous?”

“I…”

“I’m telling you, if Zhou Yuwen ever breaks up with

because of you, you’ll be in big trouble!” she declared, pulling Zhou Yuwen along without waiting for a response.

Lu Lin trailed behind them. She glanced back at Chang Hao, who looked utterly defeated, then sighed softly, choosing to remain silent.

By this point, Li Qiang had co out of the theater in search of Chang Hao. Spotting Zhou Yuwen and the others heading back in, Li Qiang hurriedly followed, calling out, “Hey, Lu Lin!”

With his freshly perd, slightly yellow hair and an overly crisp white tracksuit, Li Qiang’s appearance was hard to miss.

Zheng Yanyan turned to look, bursting into laughter. “Lu Lin, your strongman is here!”

Li Qiang blinked, montarily confused, but then interpreted her words as a good sign. “Even Zheng Yanyan can see how well Lu Lin and I match!” he thought.

As the group re-entered the theater, Chang Hao’s thoughts churned relentlessly. He decided: if he couldn’t convince Zheng Yanyan directly, he would gather evidence to confront Zhou Yuwen.

Later that evening, while Zhou Yuwen was busy handling packages at the logistics center, Lu Lin arrived. Spotting Zhou Yuwen from afar, she rushed up and hugged him from behind.

Zhou Yuwen turned, surprised. “What are you doing here?”

“I missed you,” she whispered, burying her face against his back.

Zhou Yuwen sighed, removing his gloves and turning to face her. “You’re getting soft,” he teased, gently kissing her forehead.

Unbeknownst to them, Chang Hao was hiding nearby, recording the entire interaction with his phone.

“Gotcha,” he muttered to himself, seething with anger. “Zhou Yuwen, you’ll pay for this betrayal.”

However, just as Chang Hao thought he had the perfect evidence, a deep voice growled from behind him: “What do you think you’re doing?”

Chang Hao spun around to see Liu Shuo and two of his burly friends standing behind him.

Panicking, Chang Hao attempted to run, but before he could take more than a step, the two n grabbed him by the shoulders.

Liu Shuo strolled up, his expression dark. “Running, huh? Let’s see what you were up to.”

Without warning, Liu Shuo slapped Chang Hao twice across the face. “Who told you to spy on people, huh?!”
