Su Qing was thrilled to hear that Zhou Yuwen was willing to spend the money to send her to study abroad. Her expression could only be described as overjoyed. In her past life, her biggest regret in college was not getting the chance to study overseas.

Part of the reason was Zhou Yuwen, but the main issue was the cost—going abroad would have required at least five hundred thousand yuan for tuition and living expenses.

Su Qing's mother was an ordinary teacher in a small town; there was no way she could afford such an expense. Carrying this regret, Su Qing often felt that she could have achieved more if she’d gone abroad, leading to dissatisfaction with her life and eventually the divorce after just a few nudges from her colleagues.

In truth, Su Qing did seem to have so talent for design, but Zhou Yuwen's family was more than enough to support her. It’s just that Su Qing had grown up with a stable life, not understanding the hardships of the world.

That’s the thing—one can’t spoil won too much. They won’t rember what you did for them; they’ll only notice what you didn’t do.

Zhou Yuwen only realized this after the divorce.

Now, as Su Qing gazed at Zhou Yuwen, she found him more and more pleasing to the eye. Her voice turned soft, and she hugged him, saying, "Hubby, you’ve changed so much!"

Zhou Yuwen asked, "How have I changed?"

"I don’t know, but I find myself liking you even more!" Su Qing said happily.

Zhou Yuwen laughed. "You’ve got no restraint for an eighteen-year-old! I say I'll send you abroad, and suddenly I’m ‘hubby’? Who changed?"

“I never changed! It’s you who changed.” Zhou Yuwen teased.

Pouting, Su Qing replied, “Fine, fine, it’s all my fault. Hubby, be generous and forgive , alright? I don’t have anything else to repay you with but myself!”

As she spoke, Su Qing even tried to climb over from the passenger seat to sit on his lap. But the hardtop of the M4 was so low she couldn’t manage it, so Zhou Yuwen told her to stop fooling around.

Su Qing pouted, saying, "This car isn’t practical at all! It’s not even as good as your BMW X5."

"Why don’t you give

money to buy one?"

"Hehe, like I have money? Oh, right! Hubby, you should invest in Bitcoin! It’s bound to make money!"

“Tell

sothing I don’t know. But Bitcoin’s illegal here, you know?”

“How would I know?”

At this, Su Qing’s expression turned pitiful. Everyone knows Bitcoin makes money, but very few understand its origin or history—Su Qing was just unlucky.

She even borrowed five thousand yuan from her mother for it. Now, the group disbanded, and she lost her two thousand, plus her mom’s five thousand. Seven thousand yuan, all gone.

That was an entire sester's living expenses for Su Qing, and now she had nothing left.

The more she thought about it, the angrier she got, complaining to Zhou Yuwen, “How can people be so horrible?”

“I warned you when you wanted to invest. Who’s to bla if you didn’t listen?”

“If I’d known you were my husband, I would’ve listened!” Su Qing pouted.

“In short, you were being foolish. Write ‘Listen to Hubby’ ten thousand tis, and I’ll cover the seven thousand.”

“What? That’s forty thousand characters!”

“Forty thousand characters for seven thousand yuan, and you’re still complaining?”

“Can’t it be a little less?”

“You’re bargaining with

now?”

“Then, how about this!” Su Qing said with a sly grin. “How about a kiss, a hug, and…?”

“Totally unnecessary, Ms. Su. Have so self-respect—I’m taken.”

“You’re an!”

Su Qing was annoyed, but Zhou Yuwen told her to write it ten thousand tis or go hungry.

"You're infuriating!"

Zhou Yuwen ignored her, and finally, Su Qing gave in.

He checked the ti; it was twelve-thirty. They had been sitting here for forty minutes, and he’d finally settled things with Su Qing. He reminded her to focus on her studies, to stop wasting ti trying to make money, and just aim to be an excellent designer.

Making money was his job.

After two months of being reborn, Su Qing finally felt so peace of mind. From her perspective, she was a pretty but naive girl, suddenly thrust back into her college years with no familiar faces around her. Last night, she even got into a fight with Zheng Yanyan.

Of course, Su Qing felt depressed. She’d even cried just a mont ago, and any girl needs comforting after that.

And now, Zhou Yuwen was telling her, “Don’t worry about anything else, just enjoy college again—I’ll handle everything.”

Naturally, this made Su Qing feel secure, as if she were being taken care of by her husband.

And isn’t that exactly what a husband is supposed to do?

“Husbands are amazing!”

The more she looked at Zhou Yuwen, the more she adored him. She took off her shoes earlier when she tried to climb onto his lap, and now, sitting with her sock-clad legs curled on the passenger seat, she once again tried to inch closer to him.

Zhou Yuwen asked, “What are you doing now?”

“Hubby, I think I like you even more than before,” she said, her voice soft and sweet.

Zhou Yuwen smirked. “You’re just a realist.”

“No, I’m your loyal little wife!”

“Alright, enough. Go back to your dorm. Don’t embarrass

by acting like this in public.”

“I won’t go unless you give

a kiss.”

“Haven’t had enough?”

“You haven’t kissed

in over two years! Just one more?”

Su Qing leaned in from the passenger seat, her head stretching as far as possible.

With the cramped space in the M4, Zhou Yuwen reluctantly gave her a quick peck on the lips. “There, happy? Now, get out.”

“Hehe.”

Su Qing giggled and wrapped her arms around Zhou Yuwen’s neck, leaning in for a longer kiss. Zhou Yuwen didn’t resist. After a while, Su Qing, still not satisfied, pouted, saying, “You didn’t even touch .”

“Hubby, you don’t know, but Zheng Yanyan was so an! She hit

yesterday and even pinched ! Look, she left marks. Check for yourself, they’re red!” Su Qing was clearly hoping he’d comfort her like he used to, grabbing his hand and guiding it to where she’d been pinched.

Zhou Yuwen gave her a light squeeze. “There’s no mark at all. Stop exaggerating.”

“You don’t love

anymore! You’re even taking her side.”

“What do you expect? She’s my girlfriend.”

“But I’m your wife!”

“Ex-wife!”

Su Qing huffed. “I should’ve had a kid with you. Then I’d have sothing to hold onto.”

“Whose fault is it that we didn’t? Now, get back to your dorm.”

“One more kiss?”

“Alright, go on.”

Su Qing kept clinging to him, saying she was hungry and hinting at him to take her out for lunch. Zhou Yuwen refused, holding firm to his principle that won should not be spoiled.

Once Su Qing had finally left, Zhou Yuwen turned on his phone, only to find a dozen missed calls—most were from Zheng Yanyan, but there were also calls from Chang Hao, Li Qiang, and Lu Yuhang.

Seeing so many missed calls annoyed Zhou Yuwen. He felt that Zheng Yanyan was getting too possessive, even enlisting Chang Hao, Li Qiang, and Lu Yuhang to reach him.

At twelve-thirty, the campus was nearly empty.

Zheng Yanyan stood in the hallway with her hands on her hips, looking frustrated. She called Su Qing’s phone, only to find it turned off as well, so she dialed Shen Yu and Lu Lin instead.

Calling Lu Lin, she asked directly, “Can you reach Su Qing?”

“What’s up? She totally backstabbed !”

Fuming, she vented to Lu Lin.

Eating a bowl of noodles off-campus, Lu Lin replied, “You can’t just bla others for everything. Think about it—if Zhou Yuwen really liked you, would anyone else be able to interfere?”

"Lu Lin, whose side are you on? Even if Zhou Yuwen does like , if Su Qing throws herself at him, what am I supposed to do?”

By now, she was more furious than before.

Lu Lin sighed, “You and Su Qing are both my roommates. I just don’t want you two falling out over a guy.”

“I don’t want to fight, but she insists on doing this!” Zheng Yanyan was relentless.

After a bit more back and forth, Lu Lin finally offered, “Fine, I’ll try calling her.”

“Yeah, go ahead. She blocked , and she’s definitely with Zhou Yuwen.”

“Just trust Zhou Yuwen.”

“I do, but not her!”

Chang Hao and the others were witnessing Zheng Yanyan’s angrier side. If they didn’t reach Zhou Yuwen and Su Qing soon, she might actually lose it. Chang Hao watched her on the phone, feeling conflicted.

“Yanyan, it’s nearly one. Let us go already. Old Zhou’s not answering, so there’s no point keeping us here.” Li Qiang,

annoyed, voiced his complaint from the stairs.

Finally, she said, “One more call, then you can go to the cafeteria on .”

“Alright, generous, Sister Yan!” Li Qiang grinned.

But before they could call, Zheng Yanyan’s phone rang. It was Zhou Yuwen.

Seeing his number, her first thought was, *How dare he call

now?*

She answered coldly, “Hello?”

“Why were you calling?”

“How can you ask that? Where were you? Why are you only answering now?”

“Oh, I was talking to Su Qing. What’s up?”

“You were with Su Qing? Who is she to you? You wouldn’t even pick up my call?”

“Anything else?” Zhou Yuwen’s tone suddenly turned cool.

For a mont, Zheng Yanyan felt stumped, realizing he might actually be angry. If she kept pushing, she worried he might break up with her.

“N-no, nothing.”

“So, what did you need?”

“I…I just missed you.”

Suddenly, her tough deanor lted away, and she sounded soft and sweet.

Watching her on the phone, Li Qiang nudged Chang Hao, “Hey, think she ever talked to you like that?”

“Shut up.”

Zhou Yuwen explained he’d been talking to Su Qing about yesterday’s events.

“It’s not a convenient topic for the phone. Where are you? I’ll co pick you up.”

Zheng Yanyan felt a bit frustrated, a Beijing girl bossed around like this, but when Zhou Yuwen asked, she answered without hesitation.

anwhile, Li Qiang couldn’t resist the banter, telling Chang Hao to learn from Zhou Yuwen’s way of handling won.

“Knock it off.”

Chang Hao was genuinely upset by now. To him, Zheng Yanyan was a Beijing girl and a goddess, so seeing her humbled like this by Zhou Yuwen irritated him.

After she hung up, Chang Hao approached her.

“Yanyan, you don’t have to do this.”

“Look at yourself now. Do you rember who you used to be? This isn’t like you at all. Why are you going so low for soone like Zhou Yuwen? He’s a player! Do you really believe he’s innocent with Su Qing? You’ve got so many options—why make yourself so small?”

“Small? Which eye of yours sees

as small?” Zheng Yanyan snapped, raising her head.

Chang Hao paused, realizing he might have crossed a line. He stamred, “I…that’s not what I ant.”

“Chang Hao, who are you to tell

what to do?” Her voice was icy.

“I… I’m just looking out for you.”

“Thanks, but no thanks!”
