Safe to say, they both faced the consequences of their actions.
Or rather, all three of them, since Kael was caught up in the ss too.
Arthur wanted to resist and do so funny stuff; however, as it turned out, that buff demon was actually the mayor of the city.
Therefore, his strength was simply overwhelming, even for them to deal with.
Arthur might've been able to deal with it if he had so basic knowledge on how to fight.
After all, it was a bit stupid how the self-proclaid smartest being in the universe didn't know how to fight.
But in the end, superficial knowledge was just that—superficial.
Nonetheless, they all found themselves in a certain jail cell, and despite Michael's best efforts, he couldn't be asked to get out and deal with the problems at hand.
Sure, the demon hadn't identified who was the one responsible for blasting the hole in the roof as well as the sky, but after not-so-careful consideration, it was determined that Kael was the one responsible.
That was why he was now laying inside a massive tied-up bodysuit on the ground in front of them.
"You good, man?" Michael asked, amused. "I'm not sure if I installed bodily functions in your body, but if I did, blink three tis."
The mont his words fell, Kael blinked exactly three tis in a row, causing Michael to let out a sigh.
He turned to Arthur, who was standing by with a huge bump on his head, and then pointed toward Kael.
"Can you fix his issue?"
"What issue? He wants to piss, doesn't he? They put on diapers or sothing—just let him do his thing inside," Arthur replied with a scoff.
"Yeah, but it's a little embarrassing, don't you think?" Michael added. "It's like a humiliation ritual. Imagine pissing in your pants with two of your friends watching—that has to be brutal."
Kael probably didn't think the sa, since in the end, he didn't really think of them as his friends.
But still, the fact of the matter was, Michael wanted to get Arthur to do sothing gross.
And from his quiet gaze, Michael knew he had succeeded.
"Alright... don't breathe, just... yeah, just shut up for a sec," Arthur said as he leaned down and placed a finger on Kael's body suit.
In the very next mont, the bodysuit burst open, revealing a fully clothed Kael who imdiately ran to the corner to take a piss.
Then, Arthur turned toward him with a smirk. "You really thought I was gonna control his piss with my powers, didn't you? Disgusting bastard."
"You said it, not ," Michael replied with a shrug. "Though, you should probably think of so alternatives for what we're about to do. Since, if I recall, the demon should be arriving any second now."
"Now? So what? Let's just escape. Blast the roof open," Arthur said plainly. "Unless you can't do it on command... then that's a little troubleso."
"Nah, I can do it," Michael replied as he extended his finger.
The mont he did, a white blob of mana appeared on his fingertip, traveling all around, and finally traveling back inside his body.
"But I won't," Michael added. "If I do that, then we won't be able to run away."
"What are you, stupid?" Arthur asked. "You do understand we can outrun the demons if we just fly, right? They have wings, but they're not as powerful as flight techniques and those weird six wings of yours."
"And if we get shot down out of the air?" Michael asked. "Do you think you'd be able to survive the fall, and then the consequences of what awaited us once we are at the bottom? I wouldn't say I could. Maybe."
I definitely could. But the two of them would die here, Michael thought with a sigh.
It was a bit of a difficult situation just because there were several variables at play.
One such variable was the fact that this city was never in any danger to begin with.
In fact, Michael could guess that the buff demon mayor alone was enough to repel the entire monster wave from earlier.
Nonetheless, he didn't voice that out loud, since Arthur would obviously deny it and claim he was the best or so stupid shit like the previous fifty tis.
Therefore, Michael simply waited for him to finish his lash-out, and then turned to Kael, who finally finished taking a leak.
"You, pocket tin can. Do you think we can make it out of here alive?" Arthur asked, and received a shrug in response.
"To be frank, you have an 11% chance of escaping, I have 0%, and Michael has a 99% chance of escaping. It's a very narrow margin, and if I were to combine all our odds together and factor in a few variables, we'd have a little over 30% of escaping with major injuries," Kael replied.
"For soone who's smart, couldn't you have done that calculation in your mind or sothing?" Michael remarked. "Or is that too hard for you, fish?"
"I'd rather rest my brain while we figure out what to do," Arthur replied. "On the other hand, 99% in your favor? Are you hiding sothing?"
"I don't think so. I have a few tricks up my sleeve, but it's probably the underestimating factor that would let escape," Michael stated. "After all, the buff general didn't even consider that much—it was almost like he had co to his own conclusion before I even told him you were the one responsible."
"And I wasn't," Arthur added. "You're a sly snake. But I understand. Why don't we try killing him then?"
"Why? Do you want to make more enemies?" Michael asked, amused.
"Enemies? Who cares about that?" Arthur shrugged and narrowed his eyes at Michael. "If you had helped earlier, then we would've likely escaped. But for so very odd reason, you just stayed in the back and waited for him to finish beating up."
"Haha, I guess I did do that, didn't I?" Michael scratched his cheek. "Still, just wait for—there he is."
Michael glanced toward the distance, and soon, he saw the sa bulky demon from earlier slowly making his way toward the three of them.
The pressure he was emitting was pretty overwhelming. But despite that, none of them backed down and t his gaze head-on.
Finally, the demon arrived in front of their cell and sat down on a chair he had brought.
And soon, he spoke.
"One of you has committed a very serious cri," the demon stated. "You've killed a few hundred people, caused property damage ranging in the several million range, and to top it all off, you even opened up the boundary."
"What's that?" Michael asked right away.
"The boundary is what separates us from the upper realm," the demon replied. "As you might know, there is the concept of heaven and hell in so literature. We are basically in that type of literature. Those in the clouds are angels, and we, down here, are considered demons."
"But you are demons though?" Arthur pointed out. "I an, your DNA matches to a direct demon descendant—the sa applies to every single person present. I'm not sure what you are expecting, if I'm being blunt."
"Expecting?" The demon scoffed, turning to Michael. "This young man here is an angel. However, our angels are nowhere near the sa as this one. They're evil and vile creatures who slaughter our kind without even saying a simple hello."
"Correction. You're talking about Chira Seraphim," Kael said from the side, causing all of them to flinch in unison.
Of course, each one had a different reason for flinching, and Michael's reason was simple.
If they have Chira Seraphim, then that ans there's an actual Seraphim sowhere nearby... God fucking damn it. My luck is just amazing, Michael thought sarcastically.
Safe to say, he was pretty much fucked. He just hoped that his fucked status wasn't that big and that the supposed chiras don't descend from the skies and get his ass.
However, it seed like he spoke too soon, as in the very next mont, he felt a powerful presence envelop the entire city.
It definitely didn't belong to a Seraphim; however, it was still incredibly strong.
Likely on the sa level as Arthur and the demon in front of him.
In fact, Michael was sure it wasn't a Seraphim just because of what he had seen in his mories.
The previous Michaels—at least so of them—had co across a Seraphim or two during their lifeti. Every single ti they did, they perished without a trace.
But that didn't even begin to paint the correct picture of their power level since they were so far ahead of everyone else.
In fact, only God was able to control them. And not because he was stronger than them, but because they simply didn't have anyone strong enough to follow.
Nonetheless, Michael took a deep breath and stared ahead.
Well fuck.
