"Back already?" Shao i'er asked curiously.

It sounded like a joke, but he ant every word. The real reason I ca back isn't that I wasn't worried about Shen Jingzhe, but that I was worried this was a classic 'lure the tiger from the mountain' ploy. Lin Xiao hung up. A few monts later, Shen Jingzhe returned, looking as if nothing had happened. Yet, Lin Xiao distinctly sensed a chilling, murderous aura coming from her. On top of that, he caught the faint scent of blood.
Lin Xiao's heart skipped a beat. She killed soone. But he didn't say anything. This wasn't the ti or place.
The al soon finished. Su Qingning had clearly enjoyed herself. Perhaps it was the draft beer she drank, but her cheeks were flushed a rosy pink. She looked like a blooming rose, breathtakingly beautiful and alluring.
After leaving the restaurant, Shao i'er offered to drive herself back to the villa.
But Lin Xiao just smiled and said, "Let's go together!"
Shao i'er couldn't have been happier. Before Su Qingning could even say a word, she had already climbed into the back seat.

Lin Xiao was shocked.
Shen Jingzhe continued, "And they're very strange."
"Strange? What do you an?"
"It's like they don't feel pain. Also, their cultivation isn't like ours, using Profound Energy."
"Then what is it?"
Shen Jingzhe shook her head. "I don't know. If I had to describe them, they seed… modified. It's like they aren't human anymore, but killing machines that were specifically created."
"Do you know who they were targeting?"
"You," Shen Jingzhe said bluntly.
"? How do you know?"
"Because the first thing they asked was what my relationship to you was."
Lin Xiao fell silent. Suddenly, he rembered what his First Master had said—that his identity had been compromised and enemies from the external domains were beginning to make their move, wanting to kill him.

Shen Jingzhe turned to look at him. "Lin Xiao, when did you offend people from the external domains?"

Suddenly, Lin Xiao thought of his Sixth Master. He's the leader of the world's largest rcenary group, and he's currently in the external domains. He must know sothing.
With that thought, Lin Xiao imdiately called his Sixth Master. As soon as the call connected, he could hear the sound of gunfire from the other end.
"Kid, what made you think to call ?"

Sixth Master chuckled. "That's right. I'm watching the live-action version."

"First Master told my identity was leaked and that so powers from the external domains are making their move. I ran into two of them tonight. They were incredibly strong, and they seed like they'd been modified, or maybe like they aren't even human anymore. Do you know what's going on?"
"What? They've already found you?" Sixth Master sounded more surprised than ever.
Lin Xiao pressed on, "So you do know what this is about?"
