After hanging up, Lin Xiao turned and returned to the private room.

Su Qingning breathed a sigh of relief.

"Co on, I’ll take you inside!"
Shao i’er nodded with a flirtatious smile.
The four of them got out of the car. Su Qingning led Shao i’er and Shen Jingzhe into the bar while Lin Xiao headed to the security room.
The tea was already brewed, and so dried fruits were placed next to the teacup. He didn’t know who had done it.

He had just taken a sip of tea when Pei Donglai ca in.
"Captain, you’re here!"
Lin Xiao nodded. "What’s going on today? It seems like there are more people than usual."
Pei Donglai replied in a grave tone, "Captain, more than half are custors. The rest are here to fish in troubled waters."
"Underworld figures?"
Pei Donglai nodded. "Senior Bei Kuang and I have it all figured out. Don’t worry, Captain. We won’t let anyone cause trouble or threaten Miss Su’s safety in any way."
Lin Xiao said with satisfaction, "Well done. Where is Bei Kuang now?"
"He’s outside, keeping watch. If he spots anyone stirring up trouble, he’ll take them down imdiately!"
"Good, I understand. Go on, get back to work."
Pei Donglai nodded respectfully, but he didn’t leave right away.
"What is it? Is there sothing else?" Lin Xiao asked.
Pei Donglai nodded.

"I have to, Captain. Thank you for everything you’ve done for Yan Zhi!" Pei Donglai said with imnse gratitude.
"Get outta here," Lin Xiao said, feigning anger. "And don’t ever say such sappy nonsense to again!"
Seeing Lin Xiao was angry, Pei Donglai quickly nodded. "Captain, I won’t say it again! I’ll get back to work!"
"Bugger off!"
Pei Donglai promptly scurried away. Strangely, despite being scolded by Lin Xiao, he felt a warm buzz inside.
After sending Pei Donglai off, Lin Xiao continued drinking his tea. He had just finished a cup when his phone rang.
The call was from Xiang Nai.
Lin Xiao snorted coldly and picked up.
"Master, I... I’m at the entrance of Su Qingning’s bar right now. C-can you co out for a mont?"

With that, he hung up. He continued to sip his tea unhurriedly. Only when he felt enough ti had passed did he slowly make his way toward the bar’s entrance.
