The man who arrived was none other than Tie Shankao, the new underground king of Jinhai City and currently its most influential figure. It wasn't just a manager from Junting who would be terrified to see him; even the head of the Han Family would have to show him so respect.

Tie Shankao arrived with five or six subordinates, each of them brimming with murderous intent. Their arrival shattered the tense atmosphere in the private room as a suffocating sense of oppression washed over everyone.

Tie Shankao swept his gaze over the manager and snorted coldly. "Han Haotian, you're unbelievably audacious!"

The manager trembled as he looked at Tie Shankao. "S-Sir Tie, I... I didn't know it was you! If I had known, I wouldn't have dared to disrespect you, not even if you gave a hundred tis the nerve!"

"Cut the crap! Kneel and apologize!" Tie Shankao said, his voice dripping with ice.

Han Haotian assud Tie Shankao ant for him to apologize to him, so he quickly dropped to his knees. This was no joke; this was Tie Shankao, a subordinate of the King of the Southern Town. Moreover, the true second young master of the Han Family had repeatedly warned him to be unfailingly respectful if he ever encountered the man.

"You're kneeling to the wrong person," Tie Shankao said coldly. "It's not you need to apologize to."

A violent shudder ran through Han Haotian. He couldn't help but ask, "S-Sir Tie, who... who do you want to apologize to?"

"To my lord, of course," Tie Shankao said unhurriedly.

BOOM!

Everyone present—with the exception of Lin Xiao, Bei Kuang, and Tie Shankao's n—was stunned.

To say nothing of the dandies, Han Haotian's eyes were bulging like saucers. He slowly, stiffly turned his head, his gaze finally landing on Lin Xiao.

Seeing this, Tie Shankao stated coldly, "That's right. Lin Xiao is my lord."

BOOM!

The words struck the dandies and Han Haotian like a clap of thunder. Their faces turned deathly pale, and their bodies began to shake uncontrollably.

Who could believe that this shabbily dressed man was Tie Shankao's lord? Just how heaven-defyingly powerful was his background? The group didn't dare to think about it. It was as if their brains had completely shut down.

"What are you staring blankly for?" Tie Shankao roared.

Han Haotian jolted violently. He scrambled on his hands and knees over to Lin Xiao.

"Lord, I-I was wrong! I'm an imbecile, a complete idiot! I was blind not to recognize your greatness! I was wrong, I truly know I was wrong! Please, please spare !" Han Haotian pleaded, knocking his head on the floor again and again.

Lin Xiao watched him with cold eyes. "Han Haodong is your younger brother?"

Han Haotian nodded frantically. "Yes, yes, he's my younger brother. He brought his fate upon himself! You are not to bla!"

Lin Xiao sneered. "At least you have so sense."

With that, Lin Xiao stood up and turned to Tie Shankao. "I'll leave this to you."

Tie Shankao nodded again and again. "Lord, rest assured. I will take care of everything."

Lin Xiao nodded and headed for the door, with Bei Kuang following closely behind. As they passed the dandy who had sent the ssage earlier, Lin Xiao suddenly stopped. The young man's eyes t Lin Xiao's for a fleeting mont. He trembled and quickly bowed his head even lower.

"What is your na?" Lin Xiao asked, his voice cold.

At these words, the young man collapsed to the floor in fright. Imitating Han Haotian, he began kowtowing to Lin Xiao repeatedly.

"I was wrong! I truly know I was wrong! I'll never be a snitch again! Please, please, let go! I'm begging you!" he cried, his voice thick with sobs, likely from sheer terror.

Lin Xiao snorted and left the private room without another word. Spare him? In his dreams.

The two n left the hotel, one after the other. Bei Kuang asked respectfully, "Dragon Lord, where to next?"

"Back to Jinling City."

"As you command!"

Bei Kuang floored the accelerator, and the car sped off toward Jinling City.

「anwhile, at the Han Family estate.」

A dignified young man strode quickly into the study of Han Zhenting, the helmsman of the Han Family. Inside, an imposing old man—Han Zhenting himself—was practicing calligraphy. The young man respectfully stood by his side.

When the old man finished the last character, the young man swiftly took the calligraphy brush from his hand. The old man sat down, and the young man handed him a nearby cup of tea.

After a few sips, the old man asked in a deep voice, "You should be at the company. What brings you here?"

"Grandfather, sothing's happened," the young man said gravely.

Han Zhenting asked, "What is it?"

"That person... he's in Jinhai City again."

"What for this ti?"

"He acquired seventy percent of the Xue Family's shares, and..." the young man trailed off.

"And what?" Han Zhenting pressed.

"And... he got Han Haodong killed."

A sharp light flashed in Han Zhenting's cloudy eyes, but it vanished as quickly as it appeared, leaving them murky once more.

"Why?" Han Zhenting asked in a low voice.

"That person was dining in Junting's most exclusive private room. Han Haodong took a group of n there to try and seize it for himself."

"He killed Han Haodong himself?"

"No, it was an old man with him. He's said to be a profound martial arts expert."

Han Zhenting chuckled. "So that's how it is. Alright, I understand. Go to Han Haodong's family later and tell them the matter is closed."

"Grandfather, I'm afraid it's not that simple," the young man said.

"Oh? And why is that?"

"After Han Haodong died, soone tipped off Han Haotian. He led a group of n to get revenge on that person, but Tie Shankao intervened."

"What? Tie Shankao is involved in this as well?" Han Zhenting asked, his voice grave.

The young man nodded. Looking at his grandfather, he couldn't help but ask, "Grandfather, who exactly is this person? Why are you so..."

"Do not ask what you should not know!" Han Zhenting snapped.

The young man imdiately fell silent.

Han Zhenting continued, "Go to Junting yourself. Find Tie Shankao and tell him that today's events were all a misunderstanding."

"Understood!" With that, the young man turned to leave.

But Han Zhenting called out to him again.

"Grandfather, do you have any other instructions?"

"Jun'er, I have a task for you."

"What is it?"

"Find an opportunity to get close to that person. If possible, beco one of his subordinates. It would be acceptable even to be his dog."

BOOM!

The young man trembled from head to toe.
