A coarse voice, filled with malice, reached Lin Xiao's ears.
Lin Xiao set down his wine glass. He lifted his head slowly and glanced at the man.
Before him stood a young man in his twenties. He was exceptionally ugly, his face riddled with pimples, and his attire was absurdly ostentatious. He looked like he wanted to wear every brand logo he owned. Trailing behind him were five or six slovenly-looking cronies. Based on their clothes, they were all unmistakably spoiled second-generation heirs.
As Lin Xiao sized up the group, their leader's gaze fell upon him. The mont their eyes t, the young man curled his lip in disdain.
"Fuck, are beggars making this much money now? Daring to dine at Junting!"
Hearing this, a chilling glint flashed in Bei Kuang's eyes. His fists clenched instantly, and his body tensed, like a predator poised to strike.
Lin Xiao shot him a look, telling him to remain calm.
A mont ago, the man at the door had claid to be from the Han Family. He even boasted that his family owned this hotel. Jinhai City's number one family was, in fact, the Han Family, and they were mbers of the A9 Alliance. For that reason, Lin Xiao decided to show so restraint for the ti being.
His gaze swept across the young man's face before he asked indifferently, "What are you barking about?"
The man instantly bristled. "Shit, you stinking beggar, what the fuck did you say? Say that again if you have the guts!"
Lin Xiao couldn't be bothered to engage him. Instead, he asked, "What's your na?"
"Shit! Listen up, scrub! Your grandpa's na is Han Haodong!"
"What is your relationship to Han Zhenting?" Lin Xiao inquired further.
The man, Han Haodong, was taken aback, not expecting Lin Xiao to know that na. Han Zhenting was indeed the current patriarch of the Han Family. But the shock vanished from his eyes in an instant, replaced by brazen arrogance.
"Kid, that's my granduncle!"
Granduncle? Lin Xiao smirked.
"So, you're not Han Zhenting's direct grandson?"
"Shit, so what? I'm still a mber of the Han Family! If you know what's good for you, get the fuck out of here, you hear ?"
"Yeah, you hear him? A filthy beggar daring to speak to Young Master Han like that? You're asking to die!"
"Exactly, you're fucking asking for it!"
The group of seven or eight spoiled heirs all chid in, verbally attacking Lin Xiao.
He just laughed with disdain and turned his gaze to Bei Kuang.
"What are you still waiting for?" Lin Xiao asked indifferently.
Bei Kuang grinned and rose to his feet. He walked right up to Han Haodong. "Kid, start by kneeling and apologizing."
His voice wasn't loud, but it struck Han Haodong and his cronies like a clap of thunder, stunning them into silence. The next second, however, they erupted into roaring laughter, doubling over and clutching their sides until tears stread from their eyes.
But their laughter died in their throats.
Because Bei Kuang had made his move. Just as his palm was about to smash into Han Haodong's skull, Lin Xiao suddenly said, "Don't kill him."
Bei Kuang nodded. As he prepared to strike again, Han Haodong suddenly scread with ultimate defiance, "Shit, you stinking beggar, who the fuck do you think you're scaring? If you have the balls, go on and fucking kill today!"
"Yeah! Forget killing Young Master Han, just try and touch a single hair on his head!"
"Fuck you! You think we're just decorations?"
"Shit, Young Master Han, why waste your breath on these two losers? Just beat the hell out of them!"
The young masters clamored with unbridled arrogance.
Bei Kuang simply smiled and unleashed a lightning-fast strike.
SMACK!
A crisp slap echoed in the room.
And then, Han Haodong's head exploded. Yes, it literally exploded. Although Lin Xiao had explicitly ordered him to be kept alive, this piece of trash had been courting death. Bei Kuang could not tolerate such insolence toward his master.
BOOM!
The minds of the several spoiled young masters present went completely blank. They could only stare, dumbfounded. The vast private suite instantly fell deathly silent. It was a terrifying silence, so profound it felt as if the room had transford into a living hell.
A few of the more timid ones began vomiting uncontrollably. The most cowardly among them had fainted dead away.
Bei Kuang walked to the door of the private room and shut it firmly.
Lin Xiao called Tie Shankao. He didn't contact the Han Family directly because they had displeased him today. Even though Han Haodong was from a collateral branch, he was still a Han. The man's flagrant arrogance in public was proof enough that the Han Family's discipline was lacking. Lin Xiao had no desire to listen to their excuses. It was better to let Tie Shankao handle it and send the Han Family a warning at the sa ti.
The call connected quickly.
"Master, what are your orders?" Tie Shankao asked respectfully.
"Co on up. To the best private room," Lin Xiao said calmly. He had known Tie Shankao was following him ever since he arrived at the hotel.
"Understood!"
Lin Xiao hung up. Bei Kuang returned to his seat. Lin Xiao raised his glass, and Bei Kuang, with a fawning smile, quickly clinked his glass against it. They both drained their drinks in one gulp, seemingly unfazed by what had just occurred.
In truth, the incident hadn't affected them at all. Both were n who had seen far worse. Besides, Lin Xiao was a man who had faced dragons. His experience was one thing, but his courage was second to none.
As Lin Xiao and Bei Kuang continued to eat and drink, one of the young masters stealthily sent a ssage. Lin Xiao glanced at him imperceptibly, his eyes filled with contempt.
After a few more rounds of drinks, the door to the room was suddenly kicked open. A man wearing a manager's naplate burst in, followed by six or seven burly n. When he saw the scene inside, the manager was utterly horrified. His face went pale, and his eyes looked as if they would pop out of their sockets.
He froze for several seconds before letting out a piercing shriek. He scrambled forward and collapsed to his knees before Han Haodong's headless body, his voice trembling. "What… what happened here?"
The young master who had sent the ssage pointed an angry finger at Lin Xiao. "Manager Han, it was this damned beggar who killed Young Master Han!"
At these words, the manager's gaze snapped toward Lin Xiao, his eyes filled with a vicious, murderous hatred, as if he bore a deep-seated grudge against him.
"Damn it, what are you standing around for? Seize him!"
At his command, the security guards he'd brought with him charged toward Lin Xiao like a pack of ravenous wolves.
Just then, a stern voice bood out, "Stop!"
Without even turning his head, the manager roared, "Damn it, which piece of trash is telling to stop?"
As he spoke, he whipped around. But in the next instant, his face turned deathly pale, and he began to tremble uncontrollably.
