Chapter 405: Departnt of Mysteries
After Magnus left, rlin and Godric Gryffindor had to do sothing about all the damage done by the recent madness. They had to follow back in their footsteps and obliviate anybody who saw them.
“So, what’s the worst thing they did?” Godric asked rlin.
“Magnus fought Arthur in a wrestling practice and Ragnar mated with the Jarl of the Raven Clan,” rlin grunted.
Jaw open and shocked out of his mind, Godric facepald, “I have t her once, she is one fine beauty. But that dumbass, he will create an entirely new bloodline and slowly it will expand like a tree.”
“She’s dead, died from a spear in a raid,” rlin finished.

Godric paused, taking this new information in, “That kid either has the best luck or the worst,”
“Let’s not dwell on that though, we’re going to use your Dragon pet to obliviate the entire England and Wales,” rlin said and headed straight to the castle.
“Kid, I can get you a nice rare Dragon egg. I’m telling you, they are much better than snakes, they are intelligent, loyal and just cute.” Godric offered him.
rlin thought a bit about it and agreed, “Fine, I guess I can use so help flying around.”

1978, Hogwarts,
“Where were you?” Emma asked him worriedly.
“A thousand years in the past. t Godric Gryffindor, rlin and King Arthur. Ragnar here fell in love with a Viking girl and lost his virginity, but sadly she died in a raid on a monastery.” Magnus briefed them.
Ragnar vocally sighed, “Poor Freya, she was twisted in head, but so good in bed.”
Magnus continued, “rlin helped us return by helping with the Ti Turner. Now, I shall destroy it. Not just this, I am ordering you to destroy each and every Ti-Turner in our possession and also start a hunt for any illegal ones out there.”
His demand was reasonable. The thing was too scary. If Voldemort got the Ti-Turner and sohow found a way to get way back in the past it would be catastrophic.
However, when everyone was agreeing, an Unspeakable spoke, “Lord Pendragon, you must not… They are very important for…”
They were wizards or witches who worked in the Ministry of Magic’s Departnt of Mysteries. Little was known about their workplace, and even less is known about their jobs. Employees of the Departnt of Mysteries were forbidden from discussing their jobs or disclosing any information about their departnt, hence the na “Unspeakable.”
As soon as Magnus heard the man, all his natural instincts started to tingle. He quickly probed into the man’s head and found strong ntal shields that should not be possible unless the man himself was a Dumbledore level Legelinse or if a Dumbledore level wizard installed the shields for him.
“Why? It’s better to destroy them,” Magnus insisted.
But the man persisted, “Sir, Ti-Turners are the peak of magical studies, we can not let such studies be lost in ti. And your Ti Turner seems special because it can go so far back. And if rlin worked on it then it’s a must for studying.”
Magnus didn’t buy it, he looked at Adrian, “Hold this man tight. Auror Moody, please don’t tell you did not audit the Unspeakables?”
Moody frowned, “We did not, because they knew too much dangerous information. Nobody was allowed to read their minds for it could cause catastrophe,”
This angered Magnus to no bounds, “You and your sensitive information. Just one, that’s the number of rotten fish it takes to spoil the pond. This fucker here has ntal shields as good as Professor Dumbledore, I’m sure Professor didn’t cast it, then care to tell who else in this world is so good this?”
They all eyed the Unspeakable at the sa ti. There was no place to run away either. Adrian moved swiftly and cast a charm to bind him. “This is why I said I don’t trust the Ministry earlier,”
Magnus didn’t take a minute to break the ntal shield of the Unspeakable apart and read every single thing from the day he was born. And well, surprise surprise, “Moody, you have disappointed . Adrian, you’re auditing the Ministry now. This man here is none other than Augustus Rookwood, and guess who he’s in bed with? VOLDEMORT!”
Everyone took a cold breath, especially Moody, his constant vigilance was worth nothing now. The enemy was sitting inside their ho, just waiting. Magnus had none of it, “Who blocked the audit of this departnt? Why did you think there wouldn’t be any spies here? The entire ministry was literally employing people pureblood families and you thought this departnt would be safe?
“Bring every single Unspeakable to and I will read their minds myself. The clause about mind audit has already been in regulation for years now. If what they do is so dangerous that knowing it can be dangerous then that makes the possibility of being spies ever riskier. Moody, you’re getting 3 months pay cut. The Minister for Magic will be having a 5-month pay cut.” He ordered them and reprimanded them verbally. He knew he had no authority over them officially, but unofficially he was also the King of Magical Britain.
Moody nodded and went away to bring out all Unspeakables. Augustus Rookwood, anwhile, was bleeding, “Please don’t kill , I haven’t done anything yet. All I was asked to do is be prepared when the Dark Lord asks.”
Ragnar stomped on his chest and forced him to shut up, “Yes, the keyword being ‘YET’.”
But Magnus too could not bring himself to just kill him, “Actually, he has really not committed any cri, he just agreed to serve the Dark Lord, not even personally. So hurting him is really unjust. What we can do is obliviate him totally and give him a fresh life. Do you accept this arrangent Augustus Rookwood?”
Anything was better than dying at this point, “Yes yes… I accept,”
“See, he’s a good boy. Now, let’s go and read the minds of all unspeakable.” He walked out. But stopped at the door and spoke to Dumbledore, “Professor, I’m sure you have a lot of duties as the Headmaster, I will take care of things here.”
However, Dumbledore was just baffled, ~How did Voldemort gain so much influence in such a short ti when I have tried to do it for decades now?~
