[Chapter Size: 2000 Words.]
Third Person POV
Hogwarts.
...
...
As Snape began the fight against the basilisk, Moaning Myrtle was still standing at the entrance of the secret chamber after seeing that scary boy simply jump into the hole created after he had broken it with his fists, which for that ghost was impossible, so she believed Snape used so magic.
She still maintained a horrified look at that. "What is this? I don't understand anything. What is he doing there?" She couldn't help but murmur, with a cry in her tone.
She seed to lose track of ti in that state because the only thing that broke her stupor was the sounds coming from that hole, while a strange fight seed to be happening at this mont.
"Hm?!" The sounds of a ferocious animal showed that it was angry and in pain. Myrtle couldn't help but beco even more frightened, wondering what was happening down there. With her insatiable curiosity, she decided to go see what was happening from afar and began to cautiously descend into the hole, while hearing the sounds of tal clashing against each other, in addition to angry screams of pain continuing from what seed to be a monster.
Finally, she arrived inside the chamber, but just peeked from a distance, being able to see with the flas illuminating the place, while seeing that sa boy who entered the hole now fighting against a monster.
Moaning Myrtle froze in fear, but her eyes widened as she saw the boy moving agilely escaping from that giant mouth. Then they went into the water, while the snake's body continued thrashing against that guy, Snape now erged on the other side, doing sothing unbelievable. He pulled the snake, managing to rise and, with great effort, and throwing it to the other side, then he continued to fight with it and in the end, even looking like a fly in front of that monster, he managed to defeat it in the end as Myrtle saw the giant snake falling dead on the ground.
As soon as Snape felt Myrtle's eyes on him, the boy looked in her direction. The ghost, taken by fear, tried to hide as quickly as possible, while he continued to look at her from a distance. However, another scream erged from the other side, soone crying in a way as lantable as her.
He looked back at Snape again and began to move away while heading to the other side, leaving only her there alone, but without the courage to follow him with that huge dead snake on the ground.
Snape left the ghost aside and followed the strange crying, which seed to be a man of a certain age, by the tone of his voice. Snape circled the statue and followed to the end of the cavern, where there was a staircase with a giant stone door, Snape calmly followed and climbed the stairs until he reached the door, which he seed not to understand how it worked.
"Who is crying on the other side...?" Snape couldn't help but ask curiously.
"Get out of here now! Before I turn you into dust, you damn half-blood!!" The voice ca from the other side while Snape was a bit surprised by this outburst.
"Who are you?" Snape asked, there didn't seem to be anyone on the other side, which ant one thing. "You're a painting, aren't you?" He asked.
"You damn half-blood!! You dare speak to in this manner! You better leave here, I wanted so much a body to kill you!!!" The voice seed extrely infuriated.
"Who is this grumpy one..." Snape murmured and looked at so parts of the inert basilisks on the ground from where he was. "Are you angry because I killed the basilisk?" Snape asked curiously.
"You still ask!! It was my Sara! The little Sara that I had raised since she was a baby and you... you damn... you killed her!! She was only 1000 years old and you killed her in such a cruel way!!" He continued with a sad and pained tone.
"So you are..." Now Snape was really surprised by this.
"Get out of here! I swear I'll find a way to take revenge, you damn half-blood!!" The voice continued.
As Snape pondered what to do, he couldn't deny that they were in front of a unique opportunity, and he probably wouldn't have noticed if it weren't for the wailing of this man, so he was quite bold at this mont knowing that this person had no contact with the headmaster or with anyone else since school; after all, this place would have been filled with teachers if that were the case.
"I'm not going to miss the chance to enter here..." Snape murmured and clenched his fist, as he moved it back before punching the wall.
The man on the other side was a bit startled as the door cracked from Snape's first punch. "Hm?! What is this!? How can you be breaking this door!?" The dazed voice ca from the other side, but that didn't stop Snape from throwing another punch at the wall.
BOOOOMMM
"Impossible! This is impossible, no magic should break this wall!!"
Snape continued to break down the wall with each punch, hearing the man exclaiming, until in the end, he destroyed the door, as debris fell all around, while the door, even with strong magic protecting it, was crumbled, raising a cloud of dust around the area.
Snape calmly entered the room, finding himself in a very old laboratory, looking surprised at a huge painting on the wall at that mont, while it was dusty.
"Who are you?!" The painting murmured, looking at him with caution and anger at the sa ti, not without a gleam of surprise.
"So you are the famous Salazar Slytherin." Snape comnted, looking at the man appearing to be in his 40s or perhaps 50s in this painting; the man did not seem afraid of him, on the contrary, he had the sharp look of soone experienced while studying him, but he clearly was sad as he seed to have so tears shed, possibly due to the death of the basilisk.
"Answer my question, who are you." He said with a dangerous tone, and Snape wanted to move on from this, after all, it was just a painting trying to intimidate a person.
"I'm no one in particular, or as you say, I'm just a half-blood, I doubt I'm too important for soone like you to want to know about ." Snape was ironic as his gaze fell on the place.
"You're daring, Half-Blood... you still ignore ." Salazar comnted with a somber tone, but Snape didn't care as he studied the place.
The place was filled with dusty objects and even spider webs, Snape took his wand and cast a spell to simply clean the place. As soon as the place was cleaned, he began to rummage around.
"You know who I am, yet you're tampering in my chamber." Salazar's voice returned.
"You know..." Snape started speaking at this mont as he picked up a book and opened it, seeing a book from the ti Hogwarts was founded. This school was founded around 993 AD by two wizards, Godric Gryffindor and Salazar Slytherin, and two witches, Helga Hufflepuff and Rowena Ravenclaw. Now Snape was in front of one of the founders. "It seems that no one has ever been here... but I thought soone had controlled your basilisk a few decades ago..."
What was strange was that he had never heard of a painting of these wizards, being so of the most powerful of their ti, but he ended up finding one, and no one seed to have done so in a thousand years.
"..." Salazar remained silent, while he seed unwilling to answer Snape.
Seeing this, Snape did not insist while continuing to observe the place. He looked at so of the cauldrons in a corner, there were bottles with so ingredients, but destroyed over ti, even magic of preservation didn't seem to help as the centuries passed, but his gaze went to the cauldrons, noting the old cauldrons probably officially used by Salazar, and doubted they could also be used.
Snape couldn't help but be a little amazed at the magical runes around the object used for making potions, which seed quite more complex than those he had been studying in his extracurricular class. He carefully picked up the cauldron while studying it, not failing to notice that Salazar in the painting was looking at him with so much anger, but he ignored it while he spent so ti analyzing those runes.
He set the cauldrons aside and went to check the books on the shelf, picking them up, now dust-free, and leafing through them calmly to see these artifacts.
"A Potions book, I bet it's better than the one that crazy woman tried to give at that auction..." Snape murmured as he continued reading the lines of the first book he had picked up.
"You seem to have quite a few strange potions here, and none of this is on the market. Interesting, very interesting," Snape said with a satisfied tone, looking at new formulas for possible potions that had been lost through the centuries. So even that Salazar didn't want to share with the world.
"You don't know what you're getting into... if so things leave here, I swear I'll do everything in my power to destroy you!" Salazar in the painting threatened him.
"You're threatening when you're just a painting, it's not like I'm going to give this information away for free, I intend to make so of these potions, but I doubt that's so important to you," Snape said, returning his gaze to the painting.
"I doubt soone like you could create this type of potions," the painting scoffed.
"You're just saying that out of anger," Snape replied, turning back to the book, "Just because I killed the basilisk, isn't it? You should know that to kill that snake alone, I mustn't be just anyone." He spoke still reading the book without taking his eyes off.
"I have to admit, you're not just anyone. Poor Sara, how she died this way!" The painting seed enraged and sad. "First cos an idiot thinking he could take her for himself, and now you've killed her with the damn sword of Gryffindor. I knew I shouldn't have helped forge it at the ti." The man spoke with a sowhat regretful tone.
"You helped forge it? I'm interested in creating one, can you give so information?" Snape asked.
"..." The man looked at him angrily without responding.
"I'm sure you're curious about many things..." Snape suddenly spoke without taking his eyes off the book. "How about you answer so things and I will answer your questions." Snape spoke.
"..." Salazar was silent, clearly he was interested, how this half-blood got in here, how he broke the door that no magic should break, even that person who ca here a few decades ago couldn't get through. Even more so when this person killed his basilisk. Salazar couldn't do anything while he was a painting, as his chamber was being plundered by this half-blood wizard, knowing this through the basilisk, listening to the snake exclaiming with Snape as he fought with it.
"Alright... I want so answers." Snape heard the painting speak as he nodded, after all, it was a reasonable exchange between them, he would learn so interesting things from this man and wouldn't deny answering so things truthfully to satisfy the curiosity of this painting.
