Third Person POV

Unknown place.

...

...

Upon arriving at the castle, Severus noticed the place was quite silent, with an ancient and abandoned atmosphere. He made a point of observing it from the outside, while a mist circled around it.

"How have I never heard about this castle in the Muggle history books?" Severus couldn't help but comnt, looking at the old castle, covered in moss everywhere amidst the fog.

He suddenly narrowed his eyes, then returned to normal in the sa instant, while taking steps toward the closed gate.

Instead of using the gate, he simply began to leap as he got close enough, quickly touching the wall with his feet and starting to run as if gravity did not apply to him.

He ran up to the third floor, entering through one of the windows, and Voldemort's shadow manifested right beside it.

Severus only looked at the dark corridor and moved forward, while the only echo there was the sound of his footsteps with each step.

For a mont, Severus made his eyes shine as he passed through a long shadow in the corridor, without anything seeming to change.

He simply followed Voldemort's shadow advancing to the stairs, as they climbed the floors with nothing but their footsteps echoing.

Voldemort's shadow led him to the room in the highest floors of the castle, nothing more than the place where Voldemort used to hold etings with the Death Eaters. The place should have been investigated by the Aurors, but since no one could speak about it—after all, only a few had survived, with nearly all exterminated by Severus—no one had co here.

It was obvious that this place was hidden both from the Muggles and the Ministry, probably belonging to so pureblood family who had known very well how to conceal it with so concealnt spell or even Fidelius.

Severus entered as soon as the doors opened, and the great hall with a huge table appeared in front of him, while he looked curiously, especially at the goblet in the middle of it.

It was the only thing on that floor, as if it had been placed there in the center, waiting only for him to arrive.

"Is this the last part of Voldemort's soul?" Severus asked as the shadow nodded in confirmation.

"I see." Severus could perceive so subtle changes in the space as he said this, and he walked closer to the goblet, but did not pick it up.

"Arise." He simply spoke, as darkness exploded from the goblet and imdiately rushed into Severus's shadow beside him.

It gained its 6/7 part in an instant, while Severus nodded, satisfied with it. "Well... all that remains is just killing Voldemort. He is no longer immortal now." Severus mocked.

Then his gaze shifted to the goblet. "This is Hufflepuff's goblet... I wonder... who placed the trap spell on it... knew very well I would be here today and has been spying on us the entire ti." Severus mocked.

At the sa ti, sounds—mostly sighs—ca from the darkness spread across the room. But whoever was there did not expect Severus, in the very next mont, to simply grab the goblet with his hand. Even knowing it was a trap.

That happened the mont he seized the goblet. An aura burst from it and imdiately lunged against Severus Snape.

[A dark paralysis spell has been released against the host!]

Severus mocked it, while chains also appeared from the goblet, wrapping around his body.

[An adamantine chains spell has been released against the host!]

A circle full of glyphs began to appear in the next mont.

[An Anti-Apparition trap has been placed against the host!]

Other lines full of runes ca from the goblet and imdiately rushed toward Severus's arm.

[A runic paralysis trap has been cast against the host's body!]

Another magical circle with artifacts erged in four parts around Severus, raising a barrier.

[An Anti-Magic trap has been placed against the host!]

"I must admit, you prepared very well for this..." Severus comnted as the notifications appeared before him, impressed that so many traps were triggered with him simply touching the goblet.

"This guy's joking, right?" A voice ca from the shadows.

"Curious... he knew it was a trap, and he didn't even need to touch the goblet, yet he still did it... Either he is very foolish and overconfident, or he must have sothing against all these restrictions... Very curious." An elderly voice spoke.

"Isn't he dangerous?" A childlike voice said cautiously.

"I'm scared..." Another, more masculine voice murmured.

"We should stay alert, brother." The first childlike voice spoke again.

"Everyone, prepare for anything... This guy clearly doesn't seem worried about being paralyzed by our traps." The voice of a young, but sensible girl said.

"What do you think about this?" A female voice, but more serious, spoke.

"I can't predict what will happen..." The male voice said.

Even chained and covered in glyphs, along with the paralysis surrounding him, Severus turned his face toward the voices beginning to appear from their hiding places.

"So... you're here to get , you're that group from the IWC?" Severus asked while analyzing each one as they revealed themselves, seeing them better than he had in front of the Ministry at the interview, or even in the photos of them in the newspapers. "How did you manage to set this trap for ... I'm curious, since no one else should have known I was here." He said quite calmly.

"You can know the answer if you think a little, Severus Prince. I admit I value what you did against the dark wizards here in Britain, but we must still bring you to the Ministry. The Wizengamot needs to hold a hearing with you after you refused all the requests. Your case still needs to be judged, so don't take it the wrong way." The white-haired, red-eyed woman, very similar to Rosaria's sister, spoke, while Severus knew she was the ancient vampire of the group.

"My, I'm honored. If you knew I was here, given also what your companion said earlier when you asked the question... Then the gno must be the cause of this, after all, he is a seer... And Rosaria told about your ability as well, I should have expected sothing like this before coming here..." He spoke in a very calm tone, which unsettled the group a little.

"What Lady Phiness said is true, we are grateful that you defeated all the evils of the country, and I believe you had good intentions when you did not harm innocents..." The young blue-haired girl spoke. She wore far too much gold and precious stones in Severus's opinion. "But still, the wizarding world is concerned about your power, your soldiers co from sothing very dark and unknown... everyone is worried." She added at the end.

"Wait a minute! He said he should have known I could foresee and should have expected sothing before coming here... Tell , did you know it was a trap the mont you saw the castle?" The gno asked in a sowhat grumpy tone, like a Goblin.

"You could say yes." Severus comnted, staring at him.

"Even so, you ca to us... Man, are you crazy?" The fat man with a weapon, a shotgun in his hand, said, staring at him with an excited smile.

"I was curious." Severus said.

"How scary!" One of the children said while looking at him cautiously, hiding behind the other.

The oldest man of the group stared at Severus while scratching his beard for a while.

"You seem to have everything under control... it's very strange." He comnted, staring at Severus suspiciously. He was doing far too well for soone cornered.

"Wait... Didn't you refrain from Apparating when the minister set the trap at Hogwarts too?" He finally connected the dots, thinking Severus had managed to destroy the circle they were in to escape with Rosaria.

"That doesn't matter now... Either way, I will not go to the Wizengamot with you... You heard very well that I am finally succeeding in killing Voldemort. It would be very sad for my work in destroying his immortality to be undone now that only the main soul remains." Severus said.

"You an in accumulating your soul in that shadow?" The vampire spoke.

"You think I want soone like Voldemort as my soldier? Don't be foolish. I am only using it to collect all the horcruxes, sothing I finished tonight..." Severus said while studying the group.

"Then you can explain that to the Wizengamot." The blue-haired girl said.

"Well... I will have to disappoint you, after all I will not be going with you... You may have left in this state, but what about my shadow behind ?" Severus asked calmly, as Voldemort's shadow stepped out from behind Severus, brandishing a wand of shadows in its hand, facing the group.

"So the creature is moving without a direct order?" The old man asked, analyzing the shadow with studying eyes.

Before anyone could say anything, the shadow vanished in Apparition, since it was not inside the Anti-Apparition circle, and they all went on high alert. The next mont, it appeared on the other side and cast a Cruciatus curse on them.

Everyone looked at the attack, and the one who moved was one of the children, placing her wand on the ground and pointing it forward, while a golden shield large enough to protect them all erged, blocking the attack.

"A spell of this level won't get past ." Said the boy with confidence, much more than before, since he had seed quite shy the entire ti.

But Voldemort was not limited to just that—he quickly teleported, trying to catch them through the opening of the shield at the side, but when he appeared, the vampire was already on him before he could react.

Severus had to admit they were good, as Voldemort's shadow crashed into the wall, destroying it with just one strike from the vampire.

All seven were on high alert, as the stones began to collapse. The old wizard stepped forward, his staff glowing, and in the next mont he began to create several swords out of the stones, launching them directly into the rubble. Severus saw him being just as skilled as he had shown in Hogsade, also creating dozens of swords through transfiguration.

The sound of swords clashing against the rocks was heard constantly until everything went silent once the last of the swords had been thrown.

"Could he have been defeated?" The shy girl asked.

And before anyone could answer, a roar with a massive fla erupted from within the hole, collapsing the rest of the wall, as a huge snake erged.

"Fiendfyre!" The gno shouted.

Severus saw the blue-haired girl step in front of her companions, holding a golden wand made of gold and jewels, pointing it at the giant serpent.

"Careful, Princess!" Said the old man, as the girl spoke in a strange language unfamiliar to Severus, casting her spell before releasing a massive surge of water, forming a kind of sea serpent, which lunged toward the fire.

In the next mont, the fire snake and the water serpent collided, creating steam at the contact, but Severus could see that the water serpent quickly began consuming the flas of Voldemort's shadow.

'She is powerful in water... I've never heard of anyone like that, except for Dumbledore when he cast that sphere of water...' Severus thought with interest.

As soon as the water destroyed the serpent, it surged with force against the wall where the shadow should have been, tearing it apart even further with the sound echoing like a thunderclap beyond the castle, the walls of the upper floors exploding in water.

Voldemort's shadow appeared beside the water-elent girl, but before he could cast a spell at her, his body exploded into smoke with a thunderous shot.

Beside the princess stood the large man, holding a magical shotgun.

Severus was also impressed with soone using a Muggle magical weapon in such a way. It was efficient too.

So this was the most powerful squad in the world—Severus knew that the real Voldemort would never have stood a chance against them.
