Adam pushed off the tree with a soft grunt, the bark leaving flakes on the back of his coat. The miasma in the environnt was starting to fade as the mist was almost cleared up.

He dragged a hand through his hair as he made his way to Clara and Keira.

"Alright."

He muttered to himself, stretching his arms behind his back.

"Ti to go et , big sis, although I will inform the others of their arrival."

The walk back wasn’t long, but it gave him a mont to breathe, to watch the sky above start to change from green to red. The monster world had a weird way of being beautiful and deeply unsettling at the sa ti.

Even after living here for more than five years now.

The sight never fails to impress him.

When he returned to the clearing, Clara was crouched beside Keira and Nyla, her expression unreadable.

She had brushed Nyla’s bangs back and was adjusting a light blanket over her shoulders.

Keira was still sitting, arms cradling her sister’s sleeping form like she was afraid letting go would make her vanish again.

Adam gave them both a nod before speaking.

"Clara. Keira."

They looked up almost in sync.

Adam shoved his hands into his pockets and exhaled.

"Ok, guy, I got so good news, my family will be here any minute now."

Clara tilted her head, the long sleeves of her dress slipping down to her wrists as she stood and dusted off her knees.

"Ta famille, oui? The famous ones, I presu?"

She said the words smoothly with a soft accent.

"Hahaha... I did glaze them like that, did I?"

Then, with a playful little smirk, she added.

"Mon maître, should I be nervous?"

"Nahhh, don’t worry about it, I am sure they will love you."

Clara remained silent, but she trusted her master, so she would wait to greet them at their arrival.

Adam chuckled, then rubbed the back of his neck.

"Alright, alright, let’s not weird out the locals, well, what’s left of them at least. Just know they’re... not subtle. If you thought I had presence, wait till you et my big sis."

"Oh joy."

Clara said with mock dread, but her voice had a warm undercurrent.

"Should I prepare refreshnts?"

Adam raised a brow.

"You got refreshnts on you?"

"Sarcasm, mon maître."

Adam snorted at this as he folded his arms and comnted.

"My my... Your emotions are close to none, but I’ve got to say you’ve been acting quite emotional."

"Hmmm, I would say close to none like you explain, I can still recognize them to an extent, I just can’t express them accordingly."

"Is that so?"

Question Adam.

Still, Clara was the first product of Recall Oblivion. And in Adam’s opinion, he wanted to study here more.

But as he began to think about this, Adam felt a tugging motion on his clothes. And when he looked behind, it was Keira who began to speak.

Turning around, he t her gaze as he had to look up to et her eyes.

"...Yes Kei...

But before he could even say anything, he was suddenly taken by surprise as Keira picked him off the ground and started swinging him around as she said.

"ADAMMMM THANK YOU.... THANK YOU.... THANKKK YOUUUUUU...

She shouted in joy and gratitude.

"Ahhhh wait, wait, wait... Keria....

Adam shouted.

Clara, on the other hand, watched from the sidelines, and despite her lack of emotions, seeing this warm scene play out, a small smirk appeared on her face as she said.

"C’est lui, mon maître... So young, and already popular with the ladies."

She murmured, more to herself than anyone else.

"I must admit... it moves . No, more than that...

She paused as her fingers brushed the ends of her hair as if grounding herself.

"I feel grateful to serve him. Even if he did resurrect without asking first... Then and again, how could he hehe."

Clara said as a small, almost wistful sigh ca from her mouth with a smile no one was there to witness.

"But... so things, I suppose, were always ant to be."

She said softly, Adam, on the other hand, was still being spun around by Keira; her ladylike attire and self-presentation were nowhere to be found at this mont.

"THANK YOU...THANK YOU, YOU ARE THE ABSOLUTE BEST."

Adam, on the other hand, was starting to get dizzy from the girl’s appreciation; as such, he burst into a sea of red and black snakes escaping her grip, and reforming right after, taking Keira by surprise as he held his head and said.

"Look, I get it, Kie-Kie... I am aweso, I really do, but I am starting to get dizzy here."

"Ah...

Keria stuttered and apologized while saying.

"Ahhh, my bad.... Hmm, Kei-Kei, are you talking to ?"

She asked with a little surprised face, to which Adam laughed and said.

"Yeah, like it? It’s my pet na for you."

"Pet na...

She said, a little offended, but Adam quickly defused the misunderstanding as he said.

"Noo, nooo, noooo... I didn’t an it like that... Pet nas are basically cute nicknas best friends usually give each other, so I choose Kei-Kei for you, as it sounds cute."

At the ntion of the word cute, Keira blushed profusely, as her ears bent down in embarrassnt, seeing this, Adam could not help but say to himself.

’Sooo Kawiiiiiiii.... on Beatrice above, I want to adopt her.’

"Y-Youu think I-i-I am cute?"

She asked a little nervously, spinning her fingers in embarrassnt round and round, to which Adam replied with an imdiate thumbs up.

"100,000,001% sure...

She got even redder, as she hid her face, and said.

"Then can I...

Keira began, she stopped, but pushed herself to continue, as she said.

"Then can I give you one too, a pet na?"

Adam, of course, nodded his head and said.

Sure, after all...that is what friends typically do.

She smiled happily at this as she began to speak.

"Then, when I have a good one, I will start calling you that, ok?"

"Hahaha... Sure."

Said Adam, but at the sa ti, Adam, Clara, and even Keira suddenly stopped their conversation, as they all began to sense a powerful series of corruption quickly approaching from the south.

And one Nekowolf shouted out as she said in horror.

"DRAGGGGONNNNN!!!"
