"Dong Dong! Are you alright?" Chen Mi and the rest had just stepped out of the house, they wanted to co out long ago but as Yu Linyun was their elder and was also a woman, they could not say anything rude to her.
Even if they ca outside of the house, they would have been condemned by Yu Linyun for acting way above their status which was why they listened to Yu Dong and stayed inside the house.
However, when they heard the screams of the villagers they could not stop themselves and rushed out of the house only to see Yu Dong’s clothes, neck and hands covered in mud.
"Wife!" Chen Mi gasped feeling even guiltier than ever, it was his fault that he said those things to Yu Dong which led to this trouble.
If he had not done that then his wife wouldn’t have been humiliated like this.
"I am fine, don’t worry too much," Yu Dong wiped the mud off her clothes and neck calmly. She also did not expect Yu Linyun to do such a childish thing.

"It is not your fault," Yu Dong smiled at Old Madam Yu before saying, "This is not even a big injury. I can simply pull the smashed toenail out and a new one will grow in no ti."

Chen Mi tightened his grip even more when he heard that, he was really and truly upset with Yu Linyun and himself. Maybe if he had kept his mouth shut then his wife wouldn’t have gotten hurt. Just because she was strong did not an that she deserved to get hurt!
He wanted to say a lot of things but ended up swallowing them as he said to Yu Dong, "I will draw a bath for you, you should wash up this mud and deal with your wound."
Yu Dong saw that Chen Mi was struggling and sighed. She patted him on his head again before saying, "Go and fetch water from the vat. I will take a bath."
She then turned to look at the rest of the villagers before saying, "Is there sothing else that you all need to know?"
"No! No! We already know everything."
"That’s right, don’t worry Dong Dong, we support you."
The villagers wanted to know if Yu Dong was going to continue paying the taxes but when they thought about the ss that just happened, they could only sigh and return to work.

However, as soon as Yu Dong turned to walk inside the house soone ca rushing from outside and hugged her from behind.
