Chapter 668: You Ruojin: Running into a pretty r
You Ruojin was worried that she would be taken as a thief, and others would think that she was doing so sort of shady thing.
When Boss Xie saw the look on her face, she knew that the woman had misunderstood her. She sighed and walked over to where You Ruojin was standing. She explained in a soft voice, “Don’t misunderstand . I didn’t stop you because I don’t want to touch it. But because you cannot touch it. This core was taken from the base of a dormant volcano in the dungeon. If you touch it without the necessary pieces of equipnt, I am afraid that you will end up burning alive, and everything will happen so quickly, you will not be able to even realise what is going on before you die.”
“And the flas of this core are too strong; even we cannot control them. Much less stop them. It’s a matter of seconds; do you understand?”
You Ruojin nodded. She glanced at the crystal core and stepped away from it. She then turned to look at Boss Xie and asked, “Why is such a powerful core sitting here? Shouldn’t it have been sent to the processing team to make weapons already?”
Boss Xie turned to look at her with a smile. “Of course, it should have been, but the problem is that no A-class hunter can co up with a blueprint that can design a weapon worthy of controlling the flas of this crystal core. If soone below S rank tried to make a weapon out of this core, they would end up disintegrating and even cause those modifying it to die. It’s better to lock it up and leave it to fate. If soone is fated to make a weapon out of this crystal core, then one day they will appear.”
She sighed and added, “You, an F-rank hunter, can never even think of what to do with this crystal core. So it is better for you not to touch this thing. It will cause you a lot of trouble. Anyway, you are already having a lot of trouble with others treating you rudely as you have stepped inside this departnt through the back door.”
“No–That…” You Ruojin wanted to refuse, but when she thought about how she had indeed entered this departnt with Luo Huian’s help, she could not say a word.

She lowered her head in embarrassnt and said, “I —I know.” She had already sensed this when everyone in the departnt started to ignore her without even talking to her. After all, they must have felt it was quite unfair. They all worked hard and tried their best to get shortlisted into the list of candidates, and yet she just entered their space without going through or suffering the sa troubles that they had taken.
A bitter feeling rose in her heart and she had no idea what to say in the current situation.
“But…”
Just as she was feeling a bit downcast, she heard Senior Xie say, “But now, after seeing you working hard, I realise that we were too quick to judge. After all, Miss Luo is Luo Qingling’s sister; she will never do anything without a reason. Since she has brought you here, then there might be a reason for her to do so.”
You Ruojin’s eyes turned bright when she heard Senior Xie praise her. She bowed in front of her and said, “Yes! I will continue to work hard.”
Her hard work! It was finally recognised.
Senior Xie nodded. “But why did An Yang send you here?”
“Ah, that….” You Ruojin placed the draft in her hand in front of Senior Xie. “I am done with the blueprint that you asked to draw, and Miss An said that the eting is going to start in half an hour, so she asked to send you upstairs to the conference room.”
“I see.” Senior Xie took a look at the blueprint that You Ruojin had drawn, and her eyes widened in surprise. This… was this blueprint really drawn by soone who was just an F rank? She raised her head and looked at the woman in front of her in shock. Honestly, if she didn’t know that You Ruojin was a rank F hunter, she would have thought that this blueprint was made by soone who was at most rank B.
She carefully assessed the woman in front of her. It seed like they really underestimated this woman.
She was definitely a diamond in the rough.
“Keep working hard,” said Senior Xie. “You will definitely make it big soday.”
Will she? You Ruojin didn’t know if she was going to make it big soday or not, but what she wanted was to make sure that her family would never have to suffer like they did in the past. Because of her ex-boyfriend, her parents and younger brother had to suffer a lot. Now that she had freed herself from the shadows of her ex-boyfriend, all she wanted was a happy family with friends who truly cared for her; she didn’t imagine doing anything big.
“Thank you, Senior Xie.” Nonetheless, these words did touch her heart. At least soone in here believed that she would be able to make it big.
You Ruojin, left the inventory before rushing upstairs. However, just as she walked up the stairs, she bumped into soone. A soft, silky scent wrapped around her, and she raised her head to look at the r in front of her. With his hair that was dyed sky blue and green eyes, the r looked really pretty, but You Ruojin, who had been chained and tornted by a pretty r, imdiately stepped back. Her face turned blue, and she looked everywhere but at the r who was standing in front of her.
“Are you alright?” the r asked in a sweet voice. He frowned hard when he saw that the woman was turning sickly pale. Was she suffering from a disease or sothing of the sort?
“I am fine.” You Ruojin didn’t want to stay with the r any longer, so she bowed her head and then rushed past the r without even looking at him.
The r watched her go and the furrow between his brows turned even deeper.
“Changfan? What are you doing here?” When Senior Xie saw her brother, she raised her brows and asked, “Wasn’t your conference going to end at the end of the month?”
“They cut it short because one of the investors ducked out right before the contract was going to be signed.” Xie Changfan turned and looked at his sister, but even then, he continued to glance up at the stairs, which made the woman frown. “What are you looking at?”
“The woman – who was with you right now? Is she okay? She looked kind of sick.” Xie Changfan climbed down the stairs and handed the docunts and the minutes of the conference to his sister.
“Woman? Oh, are you talking about You Ruojin? She is fine, but it seems like after suffering at the hands of her ex-boyfriend, she has gotten so trauma when it cos to rs and closed spaces. That might be the reason why she reacted so strongly.” Senior Xie explained. Her explanation was short and concise, and yet it didn’t erase the frown on Xie Changfan’s forehead. Only then did senior Xie recall that her brother had no idea what had happened with You Ruojin.
“Oh, look at my mory, I completely forgot that you were not here when everything happened. So what happened was —”
While Senior Xie was telling everything that happened between You Ruojin and her ex, You Ruojin returned to her seat, she gulped down a glass of water and wiped off the sweat that was trickling down her face, at the sa ti, she continued chanting. “It’s alright; everything is fine.” she knew that if the r appeared in the inventor, he must be an employee of this departnt or of the guild.
There was nothing for her to worry about but she just could not stop her heart from beating loudly.
“Are you okay?” When the r next to her saw that You Ruojin was sweating crazily, he couldn’t help but turn and look at her. He blinked his eyes and said to her, “Are you feeling sick?”
“No, I am—”
You Ruojin smiled and was about to tell the r that she was fine when the door of the departnt was pushed open and a bunch of high ranking guards rushed in, they looked around and shouted, “Everyone stop what you are doing.”
