The next day.

Gu Bai was still in a deep sleep.

anwhile, hundreds of staff mbers at the Shilla Hotel had already begun their hectic day.

Especially Lee Boo-jin, who had been directing the hotel staff to set up the restaurant since six in the morning. It was now almost eight o’clock, and she was personally supervising the chefs in the kitchen as they prepared breakfast for Gu Bai.

Lee Boo-jin, dressed in a completely black suit, had an icy deanor. Her features were naturally sharp and detached, preventing anyone in the kitchen from daring to et her eyes, despite her presence far exceeding that of those so-called top-tier celebrities.

"There must be no mistakes with today’s breakfast. If there’s the slightest dissatisfaction from that guest, you can pack your things and leave imdiately, do you understand?"

Ordinarily, soone of Lee Boo-jin’s stature would never step foot in the kitchen. These chefs, having worked at the Shilla Hotel for so long, had only seen her a few tis from afar. The pressure of her Samsung Empire Eldest Princess aura made it hard for them to breathe. So chefs, who were less ntally resilient, even found their hands trembling slightly.

Yet Lee Boo-jin maintained her icy gaze, silently watching the bustling kitchen.

Lee Boo-jin was very astute. She knew her business acun could never surpass Lee Jae-yong’s. She had spent the entire previous night lying in bed, and all she ca up with was a roundabout way to win favor.

But she also knew that trying to win Gu Bai over personally was out of the question. She was already in her forties, and her son wasn’t much younger than Gu Bai. It was impossible to attract him now. If she were over twenty years younger, there might have been so hope, but not now.

Thus, she planned to handle Gu Bai’s personal matters perfectly during his stay in Goryeo, hoping to earn his goodwill in another way.

While Lee Boo-jin was lost in her thoughts, the phone clutched in her hand suddenly rang.

"President, Mr. Gu is awake."

Upon hearing this news, Lee Boo-jin didn’t hesitate for a mont. She hung up the phone and, with the clacking sound of her high heels, left the kitchen directly.

Only after Lee Boo-jin’s departure did the tense atmosphere in the kitchen slightly relax.

A veteran chef at the Shilla Hotel watched Lee Boo-jin’s departing figure and slowly spoke, "Who exactly is this guest staying at our hotel? In all the years the hotel has been open, we have never encountered such a situation. Closed to the public, with hundreds of staff serving just one person...

Chef Cui, do you have any insider information?"

Cui Shengmin had been the head chef at the Shilla Hotel for nearly ten years. By rank, none of them knew how high he stood. Except for Lee Boo-jin, even the vice-president would acknowledge him.

Hearing the question, Cui Shengmin’s hand shook slightly as he was adding salt, causing him to add a bit too much. His brow instantly furrowed.

"Just focus on your work. Such a guest’s identity isn’t for you to inquire about. What identity does President Li have? Even she treats soone like that, so what do you think this person’s identity is? Besides knowing that he’s from Hua Country, I know as little as you do."

With that, he poured out the pot of soup that was about to be served.

"Chef Cui, what are you doing?"

The questioning chef looked puzzled at the situation. Why throw away perfectly good food?

"I added a bit too much salt earlier."

Cui Shengmin answered flatly, showing no emotion.

"With so much food, a little extra salt shouldn’t matter..."

Cui Shengmin let out a cold laugh and said, "You don’t think President Li was joking earlier, do you? For today’s breakfast, every chef in the hotel kitchen is involved. A total of thirty-six different international breakfasts are being prepared. Each al will be docunted, and if there’s any dissatisfaction from the guest, be ready to resign.

Once you leave Shilla Hotel, unless you go abroad, no chef position in all of Korea can match the benefits here, so do as you see fit."

With that, he ignored everyone else, focusing intently on his cooking. Gu Bai’s breakfast ti was approaching.

Everyone in the kitchen, having heard Cui Shengmin’s words, dared not think more. They focused intently on their cooking, knowing that no other hotel in Korea could offer better terms than the Shilla Hotel.

...............

After leaving the kitchen, Lee Boo-jin, accompanied by a few assistants, took the elevator to the top floor heading to Gu Bai’s suite.

"President, early this morning, major dia platforms released news of yesterday afternoon’s eting between the chairman and others welcoming Mr. Gu, causing quite a stir."

Lee Boo-jin frowned and asked, "Any negative feedback about Mr. Gu?"

The assistant hesitated for a mont before responding awkwardly, "The major dia outlets haven’t made many comnts, but public comnts aren’t very good..."

"?"

"It’s like this: Since the dia revealed that Mr. Gu is from Hua Country, there’s so resistance to our Four Major Conglorates’ grand welco for him... So the feedback isn’t very positive."

Lee Boo-jin sneered dismissively. Could Goryeo citizens really influence the will of the Four Major Conglorates?

"Show a few of the most obvious comnts."

The assistant hesitated to read aloud while holding a tablet.

Lee Boo-jin glanced and directly snatched the tablet to read it herself.

It was from a dia outlet under the Samsung Group called "Focus on Seoul."
