At six o’clock, the car drove into the villa.
The villa was lit up.
Steward Wu was playing with Xiaosi in the front lawn. When they pulled closer to the front door, Xiaosi ran over to them clumsily.
Luosang bent over and scratched Xiaosi’s head affectionately. Nian Junting grinned in the background and asked Steward Wu, “Is dinner ready?”
Steward Wu looked at Luosang and said, “Sothing happened to Sister Lan’s grandson, she took a call and headed out in a hurry.”
“Oh really? Oh dear,” Nian Junting frowned. He turned and looked at Luosang, “I didn’t expect that to happen.”
Luosang was puzzled. Shouldn’t he show so concern for Sister Lan’s family? His expression now...
“Steward Wu, is everything ok with her grandson? What happened to him?” Luosang asked.
Steward Wu looked taken aback and scratched his ears, “I think he got injured after getting to a fight.”
“He must be hurt quite badly for his grandma to rush over like this,” Luosang nodded her head in worry, “Should I drop by and send my regards? Maybe I can get them a fruit basket or sothing.”
“Forget about that. You don’t even have money for yourself. I’ll get them sothing,” Nian Junting pulled her towards the villa, “We probably can’t eat out tonight because most of the fancy restaurants would be fully booked by now. I don’t trust the hygiene standards of any other restaurants. I guess you have no choice but to cook us dinner.”
Luosang stopped short in her tracks, “Mr. Nian, why must I cook us dinner? I’m no longer your nanny; I’m your girlfriend now. As your girlfriend, this is the first ti I’m coming over for a al and you’re asking to cook for you? Shouldn’t you cook for ?”
“I can’t cook,” Nian Junting said matter-of-factly.
“But you said that my food wasn’t good in the past,” Luosang raised her brows.
Nian Junting tried his best to remain calm and collected, “I wasn’t physically well then, and I couldn’t move around by myself so my appetite affected as well. On hindsight, I think you did a good job catering to my preferences.”
Your appetite was affected? You wiped the bowls clean after every al, Luosang thought.
No one could beat him at being shaless.
“It’s ok, I can teach you how to cook,” Luosang didn’t want to spoil him in case he got used to it.
Nian Junting took a double take. He didn’t expect things to turn out this way. He told Sister Lan to make sothing up to leave them alone. He had wanted to taste her food, and it had been quite a while after all. He didn’t tell her straight because he thought that she’ll refuse right away.
“I...”
“All n know how to cook now,” Luosang batted her eyelids at him, “n who can’t cook are eliminated from the eligible pool.”
“You’re talking about ordinary n, but I am different. I have a cook, servants, and butlers. There’s no need for to pick up culinary skills,” Nian Junting said casually. He hated the oil and grease of the kitchen.
“Oh really? I’ve seen plenty of rich and successful n who are also great in the kitchen. It’s not that they can’t afford a cook for themselves, but they do it for the fun of it, and to pamper their wives or girlfriends,” Luosang shrugged her shoulders, “Of course, we can forget about it if you really don’t care about cooking. We can go to those restaurants that you deem unqualified or maybe we can get Steward Wu to buy us so cup noodles.”
