Max groggily woke up and tried to rember what happened last night.
After tasting Lily's fried egg, he apparently made a slightly disgusted face and she noticed it. With a burning competitive spirit, she began to cook many things by looking up the recipe on the internet, but that didn't work, leading him to have the worst stomach ache in history.
Unable to continue being a guinea pig, he decided to stop Lily, which led her to beco angry and cry. Calming her down took a long ti. Only when he offered to teach her imdiately did she calm down and nod.
That was the true beginning of hell. Mistakes after mistakes were made. The kitchen beca a ss, and he even had to restock ingredients just to help her learn how to cook. Praise to the drone delivery for 24/7 services.
In the end, it took them a few hours to get a dish right. When they were done, the clock showed 2 AM, and he had Lily to stay after he called StoneSword. He still rembered his brother-in-law's warning right now.

Yeah, that was scary, especially since Max knew what happened to soone who made Lily uncomfortable.
Thankfully, Lily was in a happy mood and even happier when he offered her to stay. She imdiately called a drone delivery to send her sothing from her house.

"Lily." He called out to his girlfriend and shook her body softly. "Wake up, it's morning. We will be late if we don't prepare right now."
"Hnn, just a bit." She snuggled closer with a sloppy expression. "Momo, so warm~"
It seed like she muttered in her sleep and thought his arm was her bunny plushie. Max's lips curled upward, but that wouldn't do. He woke up too late, and it was now 8 AM.
"I am not Momo, young lady. Get up and change your clothes. We will be returning you to your ho, and log in to the VR World ASAP!"
"Unn, Max?" Lily asked as she slowly opened her eyes. She was still half-asleep as she raised her body and looked around. "Where is Momo?" She looked at the arm she hugged and wondered.
"There is no Momo, there is only Max." He answered with a chuckle and pulled her hand away.
"Ah!" She let out a voice that sounded disappointed.
Max sighed. He knew that Lily needed ti to fully wake up in the morning and enjoy looking at her spoiled behavior. Still, they were busy today.
'I have no choice.' He thought as he leaned forward and gave her a kiss.
Lily's eyes widened in surprise at the sudden stimulation. Her brain was fully awakened now, and she looked at Max, smiling softly at her.
"Are you here now?" He asked softly.
"Un." She nodded, still a bit out of herself. She wanted more and spread her arms. "One more?"
"Couldn't be helped."
Max let herself get pulled in a hug and gave her another kiss, a deeper and more passionate one. Lily was satisfied and went to the bathroom to change her clothes before they headed out to her apartnt. They planned to log in from the sa place to arrive together.
Although the distance between Lily's apartnt and his was slightly far, they chose to walk together. It was to compensate for their lack of exercise this morning. While walking, Max made sure to review last night's cooking lesson, which was a disaster.
"I know… I can't cook, but I can sing!" Lily proudly puffed her chest.
One talent stood out more than the other. That was what she wanted to say. Max didn't retort or anything and just praised her.
Before long, they arrived at the empty penthouse. StoneSword was still busy reorganizing his new company and stayed in the New Eden City until the private party was held at a later date.
Max didn't imdiately log in to the VR World after he arrived at Lily's apartnt. Instead, he waited for her to take a shower while he made so breakfast. The fridge was filled with fresh ingredients, so he could make anything from it.
The dish he chose was, without any question, Rush Noodles. He ate this sa thing for a long ti, but he wasn't tired.
Making the broth was tricky, but he could use a packeted broth instead of making it from scratch for now. He had to make do with it.
"Done." He put down two bowls on the dining table and waited.
It didn't take long for Lily to show up in her jumpsuit and join him, still with slightly wet hair. They ate the noodles together, and she seed to like them.
"It's so delicious, Max."
"I am glad if that's the case."
"Un, I like it."
They continued to eat in silence and washed the dishes together. If one looked at them, they might mistook them as a newlywed. No one would doubt it.
The couple logged into the VR World after that. They already had the code given by Princess Peach to one of the private eting Lobby, so they went ahead and entered ahead of ti. However…
"You're late!"
A pink-haired girl in ringlets wearing a dress shouted at them with her hands on her hips once they showed up. Max and Lily were speechless, and the forr looked at the clock.
10:20 AM.
Pretty sure they arrived more than half an hour earlier than the promised ti. But Max realized his error when Princess Peach continued.
"Everyone has arrived before 10 AM and is already preparing themselves for the set. The staff is briefing them right now. It's common sense to arrive an hour early before an event. Have you guys never learned of that?"
Max looked straight at Princess Peach and retorted, "Yeah, I never learned sothing like that. I always show up 30 minutes before the 'promised' ti, which soone told is at 11 AM. I wonder whose Princess it was that said, 'Co before 11 AM in this Private Room! Make sure to co before that!'"
He imitated Princess Peach's voice, which made her blush in embarrassnt while Lily giggled in amusent.

"Yes, it's your fault."
"Un, agreed."
