The second day of his apprenticeship wasn't that much different from the first day. However, Chef Rush was prepared and limited to one nu per person to accommodate everyone.
At least the restaurant could serve around 500 to 600 servings on a normal day. But on June 5th, the second day, they managed to serve around 900 servings and pumped the sales. Everyone was tired, and Chef Rush gave both Anna and Kevin a rest day on June 6th.
Unlike the first day, the restaurant finished rather late, at 3 PM. Max imdiately returned to his apartnt to clean himself. Then, he t up with Lily at a café to talk about tomorrow's event.
"Max, are you sure you won't just rest? You look tired." She asked worriedly after they sat on the chair in the corner of the café.
Facing her, he gave a smile.
"It's okay. I can handle this much."
"You sure? Don't push yourself, okay. What if you get sick?"

"At that ti, you will take care of , right?" He teased and grinned, taking her hand.
Yes, he was still scared of getting sick and being in a hospital. But having soone next to him just made that fear trivial.
Hearing his teasing, Lily's cheek blushed slightly, and she looked away from him.
"Please don't joke around." She said, pulling her turtleneck's collar to hide her lower face.
Both of them enjoyed the atmosphere between them for a while until the waitress brought their order. She had cald down considerably and changed the topic.
"Still…" She said, looking at him strangely. "Isn't $3,000 too much for our guests' appearance fee? I an, I am not that great of a cook. And I am not that famous, with only 3-4K average viewers…"
"I think it's pretty reasonable." Max answered as he nibbled on a croissant he ordered, "I an when you're in my channel, it boosts the view up to 2K. With both of our views combined, it's more than 16K. Not to ntion, I have close to 900K followers now and keep going. 3K is reasonable for our fee."
He wanted to say that they probably would earn more once White Lily's real identity was announced, but he kept that to himself because his girlfriend still couldn't accept the fact they got $3K for just attending an event.
'I was like that at the start too. I guess I have gotten used to it.' He thought. 'Still, I thought 3K would be nothing for her. But she looked happy about it.'
Maybe it was the sense of accomplishnt of getting paid for her own effort. He was happy for her.
They talked more about the event and what they expected from it. Their guess was it was a group cooking. The cooking itself would be fun without any kind of winners.
"If it's indeed a group cooking, then I can teach you how to make Rush Noodles. But there is a chance that we will be paired with soone else, so at least we can make sothing simple but stand out in the VR World."
"That's a good idea." Lily nodded in agreent and sipped a juice. "I can make simple dishes, thanks to the high school lesson. Instant noodles and fried eggs are things I am good at." She added proudly and smiled at him.
Max was speechless. Instant noodles and fried eggs.
'Aren't those too basic?' He thought but didn't voice it out loud to avoid disappointing her.
"That look." She pouted and puffed her cheek. "You look down on , I know it. You thought instant noodles and fried eggs were too easy. But don't underestimate ! What I make is delicious. I can make it for you tonight if you don't believe it."
"Haha, I believe it." He chuckled at her, but she didn't stop sulking.
"Uuuh… You don't believe ."
"I do." He assured her, still chuckling.
Lily threw her face away and Max realized he was too far at teasing her. He didn't want her to be angry, so he agreed to have her cook him dinner tonight to prove her skill. Only then did she calm down and forgive him.

The post was imdiately filled with comnts from his followers. He replied to so comnts.
Lily also read the comnts she got, but she didn't reply to anyone.
After a while, they decided to move to Max's apartnt. It was ti to show off her cooking skills!
Didn't need to say it, but Max had no expectations. He only watched her making fried eggs with judging eyes. If it was about cooking, he would be strict with it! That was what Chef Rush had taught him in the past 2 days.
When Lily was done, she gave him the simple fried egg with a proud expression. Max couldn't be more disappointed, but he tried it nonetheless. He ate a quarter of it and had to admit it.
'Yeah, this is a disaster.'
"It's good." He tried his best to give her a thumbs-up in appreciation.
So talents were indeed ant to be buried. This was one of them.
