Seizing the chance, Liu Xiong moved quickly to stand in the middle of the Purple Heaven Holy Land group. He looked at the Golden Proud Cult mbers with a sneer. "Are you twisting the truth on purpose?" he asked, his eyes full of contempt.

"The Inheritance Master warned us about a great enemy. Do you really think I am that enemy? The real threat is the demons and the people who follow their demonic ways. I have always fought against them, cutting them down wherever I could."

"But here you are, fighting each other out of greed and small ambitions, even as the Inheritance lies nearby. It’s pitiful, shaful, and a complete waste!" His harsh words left a heavy silence in the air.

"Old man, say that again if you dare!" Bao Xunwu growled, his face red with anger. His fists clenched tightly, and his glare was fixed on Liu Xiong. "I’ll make sure you regret this! I’ll rip you apart piece by piece!"

Ji Mingxiu stepped forward with a calm, unshaken look. He spoke firmly, "If you think you can, then go ahead. But know this: for every one of mine you harm, I’ll take a hundred of yours. Rember that."

Bao Xunwu stood frozen, his body tense and fists still clenched. He looked like he was ready to attack but held back for now.

...

anwhile, Gu Ran stayed hidden not far away, quietly watching the standoff between the Purple Heaven Holy Land and the Golden Proud Cult. His mind was racing with thoughts:

Liu Xiong is actually connected to the Purple Heaven Holy Land!?

The Purple Heaven Holy Land is one of the strongest powers in the Everflowing Truth Domain. Was the Heavenly Gu Society secretly founded by mbers of the Purple Heaven Holy Land?

No, that can’t be right. The strongest in the Purple Heaven Holy Land are only at the Dao Palace realm. But the leader of the Heavenly Gu Society must be in the Transcendence realm!

Besides, the Heavenly Gu Society has been around much longer than the Purple Heaven Holy Land.

It’s more likely Liu Xiong is part of the Heavenly Gu Society but also has ties to the Purple Heaven Holy Land.

The Heavenly Gu Society seems to have its hands in many of the major forces across the Immortal Martial Continent.

Gu Ran’s eyes glead with glee as he waited for the Purple Heaven Holy Land and the Golden Proud Cult to start fighting.

To him, neither side was worth his respect.

...

High above, Jiang Chen watched the events unfolding below. His Villain Eye carefully scanned every person involved, noting even the smallest details.

He noticed sothing interesting: the Fate Value of the Golden Proud Cult mbers was dropping rapidly.

The sa was happening to many mbers of the Purple Heaven Holy Land. Their Fate Value was falling so low that it seed they were on the verge of losing it completely.

Jiang Chen raised an eyebrow as he thought to himself, Is a big fight about to break out?

But looking at the situation, it seems unlikely they’ll actually fight.

So, is so unexpected event going to happen to push things forward?

His divine sense spread out, ticulously observing everything around him.

Suddenly, the towering mountain peak let out another deep hum.

Then, the sa ancient, otherworldly voice from before spoke again:

"Since none of you were able to claim the inheritance on your own, and the invading demons and demonic cultivators have been cleared out, the remaining participants may now enter the mountain’s core to receive the inheritance."

After those words, the voice disappeared.

A heavy silence fell over the area.

The faces of the Golden Proud Cult mbers turned dark and filled with despair.

Their chance to gain the powerful Transcendence-level inheritance was gone forever.

On the other hand, the mbers of the Purple Heaven Holy Land were overjoyed.

"The inheritance is still within reach!" one of them exclaid, their eyes bright with excitent.

"Let’s head inside quickly!"

"Haha, this must be an incredible inheritance! Imagine—it was strong enough to make three Dao Palace realm mbers of the Golden Proud Cult fight each other. We’ve truly struck gold!"

The voices of the Purple Heaven Holy Land mbers grew louder, full of anticipation and energy.

At the sa ti, Gu Ran’s eyes lit up with determination.

Even though the Purple Heaven Holy Land was powerful, he saw a chance to fight for the inheritance himself.

His special ability to turn invisible was unmatched. Even cultivators at the Dao Palace realm couldn’t sense him.

The only one who might be able to detect him was likely the mysterious leader of the Heavenly Gu Society.

anwhile, Jiang Chen’s thoughts raced. Restarting the inheritance process, huh? That ans a new storyline is beginning.

With Gu Ran’s stealth skills, in the original tiline, he would’ve easily taken the inheritance right under the Purple Heaven Holy Land’s noses.

But the Golden Proud Cult won’t just sit back. They’ll probably wait outside, assuming the Purple Heaven Holy Land will claim the inheritance. This will lead to a huge battle.

While the chaos unfolds, Gu Ran, now stronger with the inheritance, could either sneak away unnoticed or wait, watching the fight. He might even stir things up, using both sides against each other to his advantage.

These speculations flashed quickly through Jiang Chen’s mind, his eyes glinting with a cold light.

At that mont, Ji Mingxiu scanned the area, his expression unreadable. "Everyone, follow !" he commanded. With a swift motion of his hand, he led the Purple Heaven Holy Land group toward the entrance of the formation barrier.

Seizing the opportunity, Gu Ran silently slipped into the Purple Heaven Holy Land crowd, completely hiding his presence.

But what he didn’t know was that Jiang Chen, the shadowy mastermind he feared most, had also blended into the crowd, unnoticed.

Ji Mingxiu stepped forward without hesitation. He placed his hand on the barrier and channeled his Dao Origin Power.

The barrier shifted and opened, revealing a massive gateway that seed to lead deep into the mountain.

"Let’s go!" Ji Mingxiu said, motioning for the Purple Heaven Holy Land cultivators to step inside.

"Dammit!" Bao Xunwu and the Golden Proud Cult mbers couldn’t hide their frustration as they watched the Purple Heaven Holy Land group moving forward. The temptation to rush into the mountain’s heart tugged at them.

"Don’t even think about it!" Ji Mingxiu, along with Liu i and Han Xu, stood firmly at the formation’s entrance. Their cold, unyielding gazes locked onto Bao Xunwu’s group, keeping them in check.

In no ti, all the mbers of the Purple Heaven Holy Land passed through the formation into the depths of the mountain. As the last person entered, the formation barrier closed tightly behind them.

Ji Mingxiu gave one final sharp look at Bao Xunwu’s team before leading his group further into the mountain.

Jiang Chen, who had hidden himself skillfully, moved unnoticed with the crowd. He quickly realized that Gu Ran must have used the sa trick to slip inside.

The group continued forward.

Before long, they arrived at a massive stone gate.

This gate looked similar to the formation barrier they had just passed. To open it, they had to use their Dao Origin Power. Jiang Chen and Gu Ran both quietly followed behind Purple Heaven Holy Land cultivators, carefully channeling their Dao Origin Power alongside them. This allowed them to pass through the gate unnoticed.

They weren’t the only ones using this tactic.

Many mbers of the Purple Heaven Holy Land were so eager to get through that they pooled their Dao Origin Power together, speeding up the process of opening the gate.

Beyond the stone gate, they ca across another barrier. This one sparkled with a soft, glowing light.

Crossing this barrier was even simpler. Instead of using Dao Origin Power, it only required a small amount of divine sense.

The divine sense was invisible, light, and untouchable. By carefully extending a small trace of it and pulling back quickly, one could pass through the glowing barrier without being noticed.

Before long, the group moved forward and arrived at a wide plaza paved with shining white jade. The plaza led to a massive bronze door.

Getting through this door was just as simple.

All they needed was for the cultivators to channel their Dao Origin Power together.

By touching the bronze door, they could imdiately understand how to open it—just as Bao Xunwu and his team had done earlier.

Rumble!

A loud, deep sound echoed as the Dao Origin Power of the cultivators combined. The bronze door slowly slid open, revealing a vast underground chamber made entirely of white jade.

This was the sanctuary where the inheritances rested.

The disciples of the Purple Heaven Holy Land looked around with bright eyes, filled with hope and excitent.

However, the more experienced leaders, like Ji Mingxiu, remained calm. They knew that Jiang Chen had the guidance of two powerful Void Tribulation realm experts—an advantage far greater than any dormant inheritance in this chamber.

Suddenly, another glowing gate appeared, looking much like the bronze door. Slowly, words started to form on its surface. These were the sa ancient characters that Bao Xunwu and his group had read before.
