And the first target that Sun Wukong laid his hands on was Sun Qitian's nominal master, the Ancient Elder. He chose this person simply because of proximity; the other elders of the Great Honored Buddhism seldom moved around. Thus, with the Ancient Elder constantly fluttering before Sun Wukong's eyes every day, who else could he target? Although Sun Wukong had always concealed his identity, there was no need to act strictly according to Sun Qitian's cultivation level, which would seem too affected. So, the next night, Sun Wukong ca alone to the Ancient Elder's room, first claiming he had urgent matters to inquire about, and the Ancient Elder, quite cooperatively, dismissed everyone at once, leaving only Sun Wukong and himself in the room.
Watching everyone withdraw, Sun Wukong chuckled and then, with a wave of his hand, a five-colored array had already completely enveloped the room. The Ancient Elder's complexion changed instantly; although his cultivation was not as strong as Sun Wukong's, Sun Wukong had no intention of hiding his cultivation anymore. Therefore, when the array appeared, the Ancient Elder suddenly found its complexity utterly beyond his understanding. And when he looked at Sun Wukong, he was horrified to discover that his nominal disciple, Sun Qitian, had cultivation with astonishingly one pattern of Dao Patterns, which was the sa level as that of the Sect Hierarch.
"Who exactly are you? And what is your purpose?" The Ancient Elder, though eager for talent, was certainly not a fool. Upon discovering that Sun Qitian's cultivation far surpassed his own, he imdiately understood that his disciple probably had ulterior motives. Seeing the change in the Ancient Elder's complexion, Sun Wukong did not feel the slightest bit of rcy; thinking about the deeds of the Great Honored Buddhism, cultivating worms with human bodies, was almost no different from the way of heretics and deviants.
"Heh, I am Sun Qitian. As for my purpose, didn't I just say it? I am here to consult you!" Although Sun Wukong spoke sincerely, the Ancient Elder refused to believe him. No sooner had Sun Wukong finished speaking than the Ancient Elder suddenly let out a thunderous shout and erupted with all his power, launching an attack at the wall beside him. He had seen Sun Wukong use the array to lock down the room and knew that Sun Wukong's cultivation was absolutely above his own, but how could he resign to his fate without trying? The Ancient Elder looked at Sun Wukong with a sowhat amused expression, "If I am dead, what use is it to keep so many secrets? Secrets are the bargaining chips to keep oneself alive. Everything only has aning if I am alive." Sun Wukong was noncommittal to the words of the Ancient Elder. However, this attitude of the Ancient Elder was quite beneficial for Sun Wukong; it was indeed troubleso to deal with soone who would not open their mouth even in the face of death. After all, Sun Wukong was not that cruel, and although he did not mind resorting to torture, it was best to avoid it if possible.
Sun Wukong nodded and inquired, "I ca to the Great Honored Buddhism to investigate so matters and to find so answers. As long as you truly answer all questions, I won't harm your life. Now, let's not waste ti on pleasantries; my first question is, what exactly are those dicinal Human Seeds for?" Sun Wukong's words did not prompt any surprised reaction from the Ancient Elder; instead, he appeared as if it was all to be expected. "I knew this matter would eventually leak out, and this day has finally co. Rest assured, I will answer your questions truthfully. Those dicinal Human Seeds gathered from all over are actually all used to cultivate the Eternal Chains."
Sun Wukong thought to himself, indeed it was as such. Here, those chains are called Eternal Chains, which is quite fitting. "What exactly are the Eternal Chains, and what abilities do they possess?" Elder Gu pondered before answering, "The Eternal Chains are actually the larvae of a massive insect. These insects need at least several hundred thousand years to mature naturally, and once grown, their size is almost as large as half a world. However, their larvae are very small at birth, resembling a small snake. Those cultivated through the flesh and blood of the dicinal Human Seeds will mature within a year, but these artificially ripened specins look entirely different from their natural state. They take the form of an iron chain, varying in length, with the shortest being two ters and the longest over ten ters. Anyone bitten by a mature Eternal Chain will rge with it and gain a very powerful recovery ability, almost possessing an Immortal Body. The longer the Eternal Chain, the stronger the recovery ability!"
Elder Gu's explanation was almost exactly as Sun Wukong had guessed, but even more detailed.
