At first, Sun Wukong thought that Hei Kui felt he couldn't defeat the Underworld God Army, so he asked Wu Ming for help, but who knew that with just two loud calls, Hei Kui turned all one hundred and fifty soldiers of the Underworld God Army into zombies. Yes, zombies, those that had lost their souls and essence, moving like the walking dead, their rigid bodies and the flesh even tougher than before, all proving that these soldiers had indeed beco zombies.
And Wu Ming, with a smile on his face, leisurely walked up to Sun Wukong and the others with a group of Soul Bodies following behind him. Then, with a wave of his hand, the one hundred and fifty Soul Bodies imdiately stood in five neat rows, thirty in each row. As Hei Kui busied himself spitting on those zombies, Wu Ming – not knowing when – had already produced a feather brush, or rather, a Judgnt Pen, and was bent over, writing on the lower back of those Soul Bodies. Curious, Sun Wukong walked over to take a look and imdiately burst out laughing. It turned out that Wu Ming was actually signing his na on the backs of those Soul Bodies, which wouldn't be strange, except that Wu Ming's handwriting was extrely ugly, practically resembling chicken scratch.
The group didn't have to wait long; Hei Kui finished quickly as he was out of saliva, and Wu Ming was slightly slower but also finished in less than fifteen minutes. Looking at the clearly divided two sides of the lined-up Underworld God Army, Sun Wukong asked, "Which one of you two is going to explain this?"
Wu Ming chuckled and said, "This is the biggest secret between and my brother. Since we're all in this together now, there's no point in hiding it. These guys are our biggest reliance from now on. Hei Kui's original form is an ancient zombie of a million years, so he has an innate ability, nad 'Assimilation,' which allows him to turn any being less powerful than him and without a soul into a zombie. Their strength won't decrease at all and they will absolutely follow his orders. As for , my true form is Blood Mist, naturally able to control and strip souls. Of course, I can't do this alone; I owe it to the Spirit Controller who saved my life and taught a few things. I can separate the souls and bodies of beings weaker than and then, after inscribing my na on them, those souls beco my subordinates. Quite impressive, right?"
"So you're saying, as long as you and Hei Kui are around, anyone weaker than you two can be split by you? He controls the body and you control the soul? This ability is simply heaven-defying, doesn't this an our forces will keep growing the more we fight?" As Sun Wukong eyed them with surprise and delight, Wu Ming proudly smiled and added, "If it were really that way, we could wipe out the entire Underworld God Army. But our abilities have significant limits. First off, his zombies can only exist for three days, mine for two. Also, the number can't exceed two hundred, or they beco uncontrollable. And my Soul Bodies, aside from intimidating others, only serve to explode."
"Well, that's not bad. Just the one hundred and fifty Soul Explosions would be quite powerful, and they could save our lives in a crucial mont. Hei Kui, what use are your zombies? If you say they're just for show, next ti you're taking on the Underworld God Army alone." Hei Kui scornfully glanced at Wu Ming and said, "Mine are Innate Divine Abilities, much stronger than his wild thods. These Underworld God soldiers, aside from being a bit sluggish in motion and unable to use combination attacks, are not much different from when they were alive!"
Sun Wukong was genuinely amused, and his happiness showed. With these fearless zombies, the upcoming battle would be much easier. Just then, Sun Wukong raised an eyebrow and looked ahead, then said, "It seems like your abilities will be used quite frequently from now on!" As everyone followed Sun Wukong's gaze, they saw at the place where the Dragon Emperor had previously wiped out fifty Underworld God soldiers with huge shields, the space suddenly began to warp slightly. Following a burst of dust rising, the fifty soldiers previously killed reappeared.
Seeing the reappearing fifty Underworld God soldiers, Sun Wukong suddenly understood the previous aning of eternal life and immortality. Could it be that wearing that chain granted not only freedom from life span and ti but also endless resurrection? Sun Wukong was sure that Dragon Emperor's attack seed simple but it had actually deployed all the powers available to Nine Patterns Supre, which had caused such terror. He had also verified with his Heaven and Earth Fire Eyes, those fifty n were truly dead beyond dead. Yet now, either those fifty n had truly been resurrected, or the Dragon Emperor's attack and what he had perceived were all illusions.
If the Heaven and Earth Fire Eyes were susceptible to illusions, then let's try the ultimate Heaven and Earth Fire Eyes. "Wu Ming, go test how powerful your Soul Explosion is!" Then, opening the Heaven and Earth Fire Eyes, Sun Wukong stared at the fifty Underworld God soldiers that had reford their defensive formation. Wu Ming was also surprised but quick to act, waving his hand as the one hundred and fifty Soul Bodies sward towards those fifty n. Sun Wukong realized that the fifty n, faced with a large swarm of Soul Bodies, remained calm and defended themselves with tower shields with no other actions. That wasn't right; were those fifty soldiers fools? It would make sense if they previously ford a shield wall as a defense to stop Sun Wukong and his allies from escaping, but now there were only those fifty left, and they were up against the souls of their own comrades. Yet each of them was stoically calm, not moving an inch after setting up the shield wall, and not even showing the slightest hint of emotion. Sothing was definitely off with these fifty.
As Sun Wukong was rapidly thinking, the Soul Bodies controlled by Wu Ming had already engulfed all fifty soldiers behind the huge shield. Then Wu Ming softly said, "Be careful, it's going to explode!" Soon after, Sun Wukong heard a roaring blast as all one hundred and fifty Soul Bodies exploded. Hei Kui, too, imdiately ordered the zombies to form three layers inside and out in front of everyone. Therefore, the shockwave of the explosion didn't affect the group in the slightest.
As the explosion sound weakened, Wu Ming solemnly reported, "General, mission accomplished smoothly. The enemy is annihilated, and so are we!" However, Sun Wukong rely nodded without paying much attention, his eyes swirling with fire as he looked at the large crater created by the soul body explosion. After a bit more than fifteen minutes, the space within the crater distorted slightly once again, and then those fifty Underworld God Army soldiers, whose bones had been obliterated by the soul explosion, mysteriously reappeared.
Similarly, after reappearing, those fifty soldiers silently crawled out of the crater and once again ford a defensive shield wall on the flat ground in front of the pit. Watching this scene, everyone's brows knitted slightly. It might be acceptable to attribute their behaviour to loyalty if it happened once or twice, indicating that these Underworld God Army soldiers wanted to fight the enemy after all their comrades had died. However, even then, according to normal human thinking, these fifty should have imdiately launched a suicidal charge.
"These guys are really stubborn. Do they think setting up a shield wall is going to scare us off?" Wu Ming said disdainfully. Sun Wukong said, "No, there's definitely sothing wrong with these people. Hei Kui, this ti you send your zombies over, have them use their weapons to attack directly, aiming to dismber them!" Although Hei Kui didn't understand Sun Wukong's intention, he executed the order efficiently.
Instantly, one hundred and fifty zombies leaped and surrounded those fifty n. However, the fifty remained as if they saw nothing, all crouching behind the shield wall, even as their backs were completely exposed to the zombies. Following Hei Kui's command, the zombie Divine Army sward in. At this point, Sun Wukong and the others were puzzled once again, as those kneeling Underworld God Army soldiers did not show any intention of counterattacking, dodging, or resisting, simply kneeling there and allowing the zombie Divine Army to attack.
Soon, those holding huge shields from the Underworld God Army fell into pools of blood. This ti, everyone saw clearly that the first ti, when attacked by the Dragon Emperor, the Underworld God Army soldiers did react, shielding themselves against the spikes below with their shields. But the second ti when Wu Ming used soul explosion, they showed no response, and it was the sa with Hei Kui's zombie Divine Army attack. Moreover, Sun Wukong with his Heaven and Earth Fire Eyes could clearly see they were definitely alive, with beating hearts and flowing blood. But there was no emotional fluctuation detectable in them.
That was odd. After waiting another fifteen minutes, the Underworld God Army soldiers, who had been chopped into pieces, rose once again. This ti there was no distortion in space, and instead, the flesh and limbs moved on their own, reassembling into whole beings. Looking at the Underworld God Army forming the shield wall again, Sun Wukong and the others felt it exceedingly strange.
"Hei Kui, have these n turned into zombies?" "No, the most basic trait of a zombie is that they have no soul. A creature with a soul cannot beco a zombie, and a zombie cannot have a soul. But these people definitely have living souls!" "Yet I cannot sense any abnormality in their souls. Great Saint, have you noticed anything? Are all of them like this, or is it just these fifty?"
The divine fire in Sun Wukong's eyes flickered uncertainly as he inspected the fifty blood-covered n and then glanced behind them at the Black Castle, saying, "There are over a hundred more inside, I don't know why they haven't co out. Let's go in and take a look. These fifty, Hei Kui, have your zombies surround them!"
With that said, Sun Wukong took the lead and everyone quickly approached the Black Castle. As they passed the shield wall ford by the fifty soldiers, Sun Wukong was concerned they would suddenly attack, but the fifty were like statues, still kneeling without any reaction. (To be continued.
