1308 Vanished
The uproar wasn't small in the slightest. It felt like every ti that Elder Rayword opened his mouth to give them another requirent, it would only get worse.
Elder Rayword hadn't been chosen randomly. For such an important matter, how could they send soone who they couldn't trust and who didn't have the cache necessary to negotiate? While Elder Rayword wasn't necessarily a great talent of any one of the four factions, he existed in a lane of his own and was an exceptionally powerful soul expert.
Due to this, his senses were very keen and he was able to read people quite easily. In addition to this, his mind was sharp and his speed of thought was exceptional. It could be said that there wasn't a single person present who would have been in a better position than him too, whether it ca to a matter of skill, or that of raw power.
However, this only made things worse. The fact that Elder Rayword had gone but this was the best he could get out of the situation left their hearts cold. What else could they do if not complain? The terrible part, though, was that Elder Rayword didn't seem to be finished.
"The Sixth requirent is that the Samsara Steps must be open to the public and placed in one of their Alliance Cities. Like this, all those with the mind can partake to strengthen and sharpen their Dao Hearts."
The fury of the experts in the surroundings boiled over. This wasn't even sharing now, it was a forceful seizure of their core treasures. It was akin to crippling the future of their Dream Asura Race and giving the benefits of others to them.
None of those present were surprised about the Nether World being familiar with their treasures, that was because the Dream Asura Race was obviously from the True Nether World to begin in. A very long ti ago, they had been forced to leave, making a new path for them in this world. But now, they were being forced to return.
In the past, it was precisely because of the Samsara Wheel and the Samsara Steps that they had been forced to co here, and now it seed that those they had escaped hadn't forgotten about this matter in the slightest.
The feelings of humiliation and rage that the Dream Asura Race were experiencing weren't small. It felt to them like they were being slapped in the face but all they could do was accept it. Without the ability to retaliate, they could only grit their teeth. It seed that the only two options before them was to either accept this sort of humiliation, or to wait here indefinitely for their deaths.
This was truly unacceptable. Whether they left or stayed, wouldn't they be finished either way. The end of the Dream Asura Race felt nigh and all they could do was watch.
Suddenly, they felt a great deal of resentnt. This was all because of Mae. It was because she had ford an Ancient Dao that the higher Heavens were alerted, it was because of her that they were forced into hiding, it was because of her that the now had to have their hands out in a begging posture toward the very people they had escaped from so long ago.
And now, despite all they were willing to sacrifice for her, she also seed to be among the number slapping their faces, even bringing such a man to their proceedings. The number of potent auras descending through the surroundings only seed to be increasing, all of them aid toward a single seat.
Let alone Mae, even her cousin and Thera felt as though they were being suffocated, and they weren't even the target of the pressure. It only beca worse and worse and Elder Rayword went on to list four more conditions, each more unacceptable than the last. It was as though they could feel themselves being slapped again and again.
Feeling the animosity of everyone, Mae's shoulders trembled. She was usually a cold faced and unmoved individual, but in the face of so many absolute experts, she too felt like she was drowning. It was too much, and this pressure didn't seem to take into account her status in the slightest.I think you should take a look at
Maybe it was the fact they could all tell that Rogryll was truly infuriated as well, or else they wouldn't dare to do such a thing so openly.
However, what they didn't expect was for a chuckle to co out of nowhere, disrupting their senses. They felt so stunned by the out of place laughter that they didn't know how to react for a mont.
"Don't you all find yourselves to be a bit too pathetic?" Ryu said lightly.
Many didn't believe that they had heard correctly. They even looked to their sides, checking with those around them to ensure that they really had heard what they had heart. But all they saw were the bewildered gazes of those around them.
He dared to speak like this in this sort of setting?
At that mont, it wasn't they who were enraged, but it was Rogryll's temper that suddenly exploded out of control once again. He had been silent all the while, allowing those around to do as they pleased, but this Ryu seed to think that just because he hadn't said anything, everything would work out in his favor.
"Silence."
This was the only word he said, his voice rumbling. Not a single person dared to speak, when Rogryll voiced his commands, even his own brother didn't dare to refute, even his own wife didn't even consider it, let alone everyone else.
However, who could have expected that not even a brief mont would pass before Ryu spoke again.
"I speak where I please and as I please."
Even Rogryll, who thought this matter was over, felt astonished. But even this was only for a brief instant before his aura flared, a pillar of pressure descending.
Mae wasn't spared in the slightest. The mont she felt it, her look paled and she spat out a mouthful of blood.
At that mont, Ryu's smiling look completely vanished.
