19: Chapter 19: No Need to Knead Anymore 19: Chapter 19: No Need to Knead Anymore Noah Quarter cradled the already-checked Arabella Shaw as he walked out of the hospital and imdiately got into the car.

“Be more careful next ti, your left hand hasn’t fully recovered, and now it’s your foot.”

Arabella Shaw said softly, “Don’t be angry, I promise to be good from now on, sorry, I should not have gone to the party tonight, I didn’t know that tonight was for…”

She blinked her sour eyes, her eyelids slightly red, “If I had known, I would not have gone.”

Seeing her upset, Noah sighed, “I’m sorry, it’s my fault for making you suffer, Arabella, give another half year, okay?”

He hugged her and gently kissed her forehead.

“It’s all my fault, if I hadn’t chosen to go abroad back then, I’m sorry, Noah,” Arabella Shaw leaned against him, feeling sorrowful.

Noah thought of the years Julia Land had taken care of him after Arabella Shaw went abroad, and for a mont he was lost in thought.

“I plan to move out of Imperial View Gardens first.

Now that Julia Land is known as Mrs.

Quarter, everyone knows, I can’t keep living in Imperial View Gardens.”

Noah ca back to his senses and comforted her, “You don’t have to move, I’ll transfer Imperial View Gardens to your na, Arabella, in another half year, I’ll marry you.”

He wasn’t sure if he said that for himself or for Arabella Shaw.

He was certain that he couldn’t bear to see Arabella Shaw upset.

Noah’s words did not comfort Arabella Shaw.

She beca anxious thinking about what she had heard in the study.

Julia Land would continue to be Noah’s secretary.

Arabella Shaw really wanted to ask him why he had Julia Land return as his secretary, but she couldn’t let him know that she had overheard his phone conversation with Julia Land.

A lot could happen in half a year.

Arabella Shaw didn’t want to gamble on that kind of luck.

“Can I occasionally co to visit Quarter Family while I’m recovering?

I’ll disguise myself so the dia and fans won’t recognize .”

anwhile, at the Noble Grid Hotel.

Julia Land was arrogantly arguing with the hotel manager at the door of a room when she heard a very familiar deep voice from inside, “Co in.”

She tilted her head and stealthily stretched her neck to look inside.

Jas Thompson held a glass of wine in his hand, just as he ca into view.

“Uncle.”

“….”

Jas Thompson glanced at Julia Land and lazily sipped his wine.

Julia Land walked in, and the hotel manager considerately closed the door.

It turned out she was a relative, and the gossiping heart of the hotel manager instantly extinguished.

Julia Land felt that sotis, the less you want entanglents with people, the more often you encounter them.

Like her and Jas Thompson.

Julia Land sat on a bar stool and unceremoniously poured herself a glass of red wine.

She had not yet taken a sip when Jas Thompson took the glass and drank it down.

“….”

Julia Land glared at him, simply incredulous, “You could have poured your own, right?”

Jas Thompson couldn’t care less about her protest and picked up a pot of tea, “You drink tea.”

Julia Land just wanted to taste that bottle of red wine; her eyes were good, the wine was Romanée-Conti, worth at least around four million.

“Just a sip?”

Jas Thompson wasn’t stingy, so he poured her…

a sip.

Julia Land, “….”

“Mr.

Thompson, I still need to find the hotel manager, thank you for the wine.”

She drank that sip of red wine, tiptoed off the bar stool, and left.

“One mont you call ‘Uncle,’ the next ‘Mr.

Thompson,’ you switch back and forth quite easily,” Jas Thompson’s dark eyes fell on her made-up face, “You might as well co to rather than the hotel manager, this hotel belongs to the Thompson Family.”

Julia Land did not want to co to him.

It was a bit difficult to say.

Just then, Jas Thompson’s phone rang.

It was a video sent by the hotel manager.

[Mr.

Thompson, this is the video Mrs.

Quarter wanted]

Jas Thompson’s glance fell on the words Mrs.

Quarter, slightly displeased, then he casually opened the video.

Julia Land also saw the video on his phone.

“….”

Julia Land hung her head low, her feet aching a little as she shifted them.

Jas Thompson paused the video, reached for a pair of hotel-provided flat slippers, and, bending down, placed them by her feet.

“Put these on.”

He continued watching the video.

After he finished, he frowned and his handso face was speechless, “Why do you girls love to play these little tricks so much?”

Julia Land changed her shoes and looked up, “Why do you guys like these heroic rescues?”

Jas Thompson could only describe it with one word, “Stupid.”

Julia Land stiffened her fragile neck, “It’s love, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.”

“It’s indeed love, the mistress cos knocking, and the wife still loves the scumbag.”

Jas Thompson spoke with mockery, and that look he gave Julia Land was like seeing soone infatuated with love; he felt like using a scalpel to open her head to see if it was filled with water.

Julia Land subconsciously touched her forehead, “…I don’t love him anymore, I’m learning to let go.

I’m not a masochist.”

If it wasn’t for the deal, and the fact that her divorce still needed to be kept secret, she would have shown the divorce certificate to everyone.

Just thinking about it relieved her chest.

Jas Thompson looked at Julia Land’s complexion and saw that she was very serious when she spoke.

He didn’t know whether to believe her or not, but he nodded and didn’t strike at her again.

“I sent you the video, go lie down on the couch.”

“?”

Why should she lie down all of a sudden?

“I’ll check your lower back and apply so ointnt for you.”

He saw that it was inconvenient for Julia Land to be wearing a dress, so he went to get one of his own T-shirts that he had never worn before, and gave her a pair of long pants.

Julia Land, holding the clothes and pants, didn’t move, “No trouble, I’ll go back and ask soone to help apply it.”

Jas Thompson’s dark pupils stared at her, “I’m a doctor.”

The two looked at each other quietly.

Julia Land felt her scalp tingle under his gaze and went to the bathroom with the clothes and pants.

On the couch.

A compromising Julia Land was wearing an oversized pair of pants, sadly tied at the waist with an elastic band.

Jas Thompson saw the elastic band tied around her waist and a smile appeared on the corner of his lips.

Her clothes were pulled up just a bit, revealing her fair lower back.

Slim waist and raised buttocks.

Jas Thompson had dicine on his hand, but, truth be told, he hesitated for a mont.

The room’s air conditioning was on.

Julia Land’s lower back still felt hot.

He applied the ointnt for her, and it had an unpleasant sll.

More importantly, the area where the ointnt had been applied needed to be rubbed.

Sotis, when Julia Land felt pain, she would hum through her nose.

It sounded srizing.

“Mr.

Thompson, no need to rub, it will heal in a few days.”

Rubbing the bruised spot really does hurt.

“Just bear with it, it will be over soon.”

Julia Land, “…”

“Done.”

Jas Thompson saw her sit up holding her lower back, her face showing a look that had survived an ordeal; she gave him a radiant smile, “Thank you.”

He lightly curved his lips into a faint smile.

Jas Thompson went to the bathroom to wash his hands.

Noah Quarter called again, and this ti Julia Land finally pressed the answer button.

“What’s up?”

“Where are you?”

“Following your advice, I’m outside.”

After Julia Land finished speaking, she hung up the phone, irritated.

Noah Quarter frowned; her temper was really getting worse.

When Jas Thompson ca out from washing his hands, he saw Julia Land throwing her phone onto the couch with impatience and leaning back.

Her beautiful neck was revealed as she leaned back.

Jas Thompson walked over and looked at her backward-tilted neck, “Neck broken.”

Julia Land just looked at Jas Thompson, “Can I stay here tonight?

…”

The room had plenty of space, and she didn’t want to move.

The last few words were not yet said.

Jas Thompson leaned over, one hand supporting the back of the couch, the other lifting her neck.

His deep eyes were obscure.

His thin lips stopped closely near her red ones.
