"Hmm?"
The response was completely unexpected for Noah; even the Holy Dragon was caught off guard.
He thought life at the academy had changed his grandson considerably, making his personality much brighter. But now it seed that he had not just changed a lot; it was as if his entire core had been replaced.
The Power of Ashes couldn’t kill the red dragon Jeddon. To reach such a conclusion ant this young grandson had attempted it more than once. Yet previously, this little guy was so afraid of hurting even a small elf or a flower, often crying as a result.
But now, he was treating the red dragon in such a way; even if they were hostile races, it was excessively cruel and brutal. The tallic Dragon Race generally despised the Colorful Dragon Clan but would never personally kill a Colorful Dragon.
As for his grandson’s Power of Ashes being unable to harm the red dragon Jeddon, Noah wasn’t surprised. He understood the power his grandson wielded quite well; it was a force akin to an Instant Death Spell.
Once tainted by the Power of Ashes, it was as if every mont required a death saving throw. Failing it ant being reduced to ashes—truly an extrely violent and domineering form of spiritual power.
Noah could naturally ignore this power because his status was high enough, and the little red dragon could also ignore it because he had the remnants of a divine being dwelling within him.
Even the remnants of a god were enough to suppress a young dragon’s spiritual power. No matter how extre this power was, what of it? The divine might not even notice because the difference was too vast, too insignificant.
"When did you find out?"
Noah, suppressing the surprise in his heart, asked curiously.
"I noticed his peculiarity the first ti we t."
Cezer answered honestly.
"The first ti? You released your spiritual energy upon first encountering him?"
Noah was even more taken aback. He thought there was a process of transformation, but there was none. His elder grandson targeted the red dragon without rcy—truly ruthless.
Though branches of the dragon species generally had no fondness for the Colorful Dragon Clan, this grandson was perhaps a bit too extre. Could it be his true nature?
"Yes."
"Why? Do you loathe and oppose the red dragons?"
Noah wanted to understand the reason.
Normally, the tallic Dragon Race rely looked down on the Colorful Dragon Clan and wouldn’t imdiately try to kill them, especially when they were still unfamiliar upon first eting.
As long as the Colorful Dragon Clan didn’t initiate an attack, the tallic Dragon Race generally couldn’t be bothered with them. Of course, there were exceptions, such as the Bronze Dragon Clan. If they happened to see the Colorful Dragons committing evil, they’d still charge in to deal with them.
As for other dragon clans, it wasn’t that they wouldn’t intervene, but they wouldn’t be rash like the Bronze Dragons. They would choose to first observe and understand the situation, then decide whether to intervene alone, call friends, or even bring in their elders.
"I hold no animosity towards any dragon species."
"Then why did you release the Power of Ashes on Jeddon when you first saw him?"
Noah found it quite peculiar.
"Because I felt I couldn’t hurt him. So I wanted to try; the impulse was too strong, and I couldn’t control it."
Cezer showed so shyness and guilt. At that ti, he simply followed his instincts and unleashed his extre spiritual power on the red dragon Jeddon.
The result was that the red dragon was lively and unaffected, and thereafter, he repeatedly experinted, discovering that Jeddon was completely immune to his power.
"Hmm? You acted rely on such a feeling then."
Noah began to understand a bit. His elder grandson hadn’t intended to kill the red dragon Jeddon. Instead, upon seeing the red dragon for the first ti, a mysterious perception reacted in him, and he just followed it, not expecting the other to truly disregard it.
"I see, it seems you have quite the talent for perception."
"Grandfather, how does Jeddon do it? Why can he be immune to my power?"
At this mont, Cezer’s eyes were filled with eagerness and inquiry. This was why he had stayed close to the red dragon Jeddon over the years; he wanted to understand how the other could ignore his spiritual power.
"You’ve kept him by your side all these years, and you haven’t discovered the reason?"
"I did notice differences between Jeddon and other red dragons, but I don’t think that’s the reason for his immunity to the Power of Ashes."
"Oh? Then tell , what unusual things have you found about this little dragon?"
"His temperant is very reserved, unlike the typical arrogance and volatility of red dragons. Before making major decisions, he ponders for a long ti. In this regard, he doesn’t seem like a red dragon at all."
"It’s not about appearing like one or not. Don’t hold such stereotypes; every dragon is unique, and having individual personality traits is normal. Can dragons of the sa branch all have identical characters? Obviously not."
The Holy Dragon corrected his grandson’s perception.
Labeling and stereotyping any group, class, or regional biological group is foolish and narrow-minded.
"But he seems too unlike a red dragon. I’ve also noticed he has a great love for learning, yet he consciously conceals it, often hiding away to read books secretly."
At this point, Cezer appeared puzzled because he couldn’t understand the significance of Jeddon disguising himself like this.
