Uranos realized the inconsistency and, while explaining, did not forget to ask again.

"There’s no counterasure, the only way to counter it is to ensure you’re strong enough yourself. No matter how special a spell is, it still needs power to maintain. When there’s a significant power gap, the intricacy and uniqueness of the spell lose their aning."

Noah responded directly.

"Thank you for the reminder."

Uranos nodded, his previously troubled eyes now much more resolute.

"I entrust my father to your care!"

After chatting with Noah for a while longer, this young ruler excused himself citing busy affairs and left early, while his mother stayed behind to continue conversing with Noah,

"Noah, Uther was raised by you since childhood. You know his character better than I do, so I won’t explain much on his behalf. I just want to ask you to be more lenient with him."

Just now, Edith, who hadn’t spoken, now revealed a hint of helplessness in her words.

"Lenient? I will be. After all, I’m his uncle."

Looking at the Nine Swords Master in this state, Noah roughly understood that the relationship between parents and children is an eternal conundrum. Most families find it challenging to handle this issue well, not to ntion the now royal Augustus family.

"It’s not just about the things that happened just now, I also want to ask you to be more tolerant of Uther when he rises to power in the future."

Edith spoke earnestly.

"Could you describe it more specifically? What does Uther want to do in the future that needs my tolerance?"

"I don’t know."

"Then let’s let the future us make future decisions. I can’t promise anything in advance right now, as I’m not just representing myself."

"You’re right, my request was too unreasonable."

"You should also take this ti to fulfill your duties as a mother properly. He is not yet qualified to ascend the throne; before that, you can guide him well."

Noah knew Tidel’s arrangent, even if he successfully sealed Tidel, it was kept under wraps by creating the illusion that Tidel was still seated on the throne.

With Edith, who had already broken through to beco a Legend, temporarily taking over the royal governnt, the royal authority was to be handed back to Uther once he broke through to beco a Legend.

"Noah, don’t you think it’s too late to say this? Uther now already has his own will that no one can change. If soone has to take responsibility for this, it must be you!"

Edith’s words were sharp and direct.

"Indeed, I should bear the main responsibility."

Uther’s views and character were most influenced by him. If anything happens in the future, it will be his own doing, digging pitfalls for his future self, and he can’t bla anyone else.

"I will do what I can within my ability, as a way to not let Tidel down, nor Casius!"

"Isn’t this thought a bit negative?"

"Why don’t you co, then?"

"Then forget it."

Although it was still a distant matter for Uther to break through Legend and beco the second-generation king of the Atlas, there was no denying that when Tidel was sealed into the Ti-Space Amber by Noah, the history of Atlas Kingdom had already entered a new Chapter, and a new era had dawned.

Edith, who temporarily took over the royal authority, had noticeable differences in her governance philosophy and thod of selecting personnel compared to Tidel.

When she held the royal power and governed the kingdom in the way she deed most suitable, the nobles and the ruling class throughout the kingdom could all notice the change.

Even though Edith didn’t massively change the policies from Tidel’s era, focusing on stability with only so adjustnts in less impactful areas, people with highly sensitive political instincts could still perceive the differences.

Though Edith’s rule led to so minor criticisms and speculation, her power as a Legendary Nine Swords Master and her status as the Queen were enough to suppress most of the idle gossip.

Even the few remarks weren’t questioning Edith but were puzzled about Tidel’s arrangent, wanting to know the original king’s thoughts and condition.

Unfortunately, these individuals could only speculate because, not long ago, Tidel’s bloody massacre against the Snake-man Kingdom had a shocking effect, not just abroad; the kingdom’s interior had beco very stable as a result.

Even though there was such an obvious transfer of power within the kingdom, there weren’t any major disturbances, with most nobles watching cautiously, each acting more prudently than the last.

"Boohoo, I’ve been dismissed!"

"Wow, I was dismissed too, those bastard humans didn’t only dismiss , but they confiscated nearly half of my assets, it’s utterly despicable!"

"Alas, although I haven’t been dismissed, it’s close. They’re examining my assets and investigating any misconduct during my tenure."

"What? They dare to investigate you too!"

"These humans are so arrogant, we mustn’t let them beco more insolent, let’s go to the wise Holy Dragon Emperor to seek justice for us."

"Yes, let’s report this to the Holy Dragon Emperor."

For a group of fairies who sought his intervention to reclaim their assets, crying and pleading, Noah arranged for another group of fairies to conduct a second round of investigations on them. Each one of them, without exception, was thrown into Fairy Town.

There was no question of reclaiming justice for these fairies because none of them were wrongfully accused, so naturally, there was no justice to speak of.

All these fairies bore serious charges of greed and corruption and were exiled back from the Royal Capital Usser. Even if Noah had a thicker Dragon Scale, he wouldn’t have the audacity to intercede for this group of people.

From a neutral standpoint, they were quite fortunate because the anti-corruption investigation that started in the Royal Capital Usser City was not only targeting them; most officials from top to bottom were investigated too.

According to the kingdom’s laws, considering the enormity of the embezzlent by these exiled fairies, if it were human officials, they could lose their heads. But these guys rely had their illegal gains confiscated, with so even managing to take sothing back.

So cris that would have resulted in a death sentence for humans rely resulted in extended prison terms for fairies, and even the execution rights were handed over to Noah, which was very considerate.

"Ultimately, they are different people now."

Although it was an anti-corruption purge beyond reproach, Noah could see the change in attitude towards him from the Royal Capital through it.

The fairies in the Royal Capital did not just represent the Augustus family’s royal authority; they also embodied the will of him, the Holy Dragon Noah. Yet, a group of fairies was returned.

Although not all, it was enough to signify a problem. Embezzlent and bribery were just nas; fairies indeed used their power to amass wealth but they genuinely accomplished things too.

Therefore, during Tidel’s reign, the number of fairies going to the Royal Capital’s Demon Capital increased steadily. Aside from those fairies tired of being officials, there were hardly any exiled or returned.

"Are they reducing my influence in the Royal Capital and even throughout the kingdom?"

Noah silently observed for a period.

Every year, a large number of fairies went to the Royal Capital seeking jobs. In the past, aspiring fairies only wouldn’t find satisfactory positions, not that they wouldn’t be able to beco officials.

But now, it was different. The threshold and requirents for fairies in governance had increased more than tenfold. The number of fairies entering the administrative system was getting fewer, while a large number were screened and cleared out.

After clearing out the fairies, the important vacant positions were filled by mbers of the Augustus family. Even if manpower was insufficient, they would select from the mother clan and never easily appoint fairies.

"Giving priority to the family’s own talents, elevating the mother clan’s status, they really absorbed all the personal touches I embedded back then!"
