The ultra-high-speed rail transit system wasn't sothing that could be accomplished overnight.

For a long ti after that, Viscount Roster stayed busy with this matter.

At so point, more and more people started gathering in Roster territory.

At Roster territory's famous chanical Plaza, a huge crowd had gathered today.

A sowhat green-looking young man asked in surprise, "Is there a big gathering like this every day, or is today just a coincidence?"

Hearing this, a passerby couldn't help but turn to look. "Outsider?"

"Uh, yes." The green young man didn't seem used to commoners addressing him this way and imperceptibly took a step back, though his face still showed warmth and politeness.

He knew so things about Roster territory.

Even commoners here had pretty high status. If nothing unexpected happened, he'd be studying here for many years to co.

He had to adapt to these things, or at least not resist them.

"Well, it's normal you're not familiar with this place."

Seeing his reaction, the passerby didn't care. They'd seen plenty of people like him. So what?

In Roster territory, anyone could have unlimited possibilities. Maybe the guy was a noble now while he was just an ordinary worker, but 10 years from now, who knew?

Plenty of nobles had to bow and scrape before their factory managers.

And their factory managers had been ordinary workers just a year ago.

That said a lot right there.

Thinking of this, the passerby broke into an excited smile. "Gatherings are super common in Roster territory. There are small gatherings every day."

"But big-scale gatherings like today basically happen every ten days, and they notify all residents through the Magic Net."

"Small gatherings are mainly for trading goods—food, handicrafts, clothes, shoes, and stuff like that."

"But big gatherings are different. They usually showcase all kinds of new and interesting things, like new products from various factories. Plus, important new policies also get announced at big gatherings."

"Of course, this information isn't only announced at big gatherings—it's also on the Magic Net and radio."

"Everyone's here mainly to check out the cool new products from different factories, like that guy over there."

As he spoke, the passerby pointed to what looked like a very ordinary person about 30 years old not too far away.

"Today he's going to show everyone a brand new technology. You just put ingredients in an iron box, wait a bit, and out cos a plate of roasted at. Supposedly this Magic Conductor is about to go into mass production."

The green young man's pupils shrank, and shock appeared on his face.

"They showcase advanced Magic Conductors like that at gatherings?!"

"Of course! It's a great opportunity for promotion. Lots of outsiders like you, especially rchants, love coming here to check things out. Showcasing here spreads the word as much as possible and finds the right buyers."

The passerby laughed good-naturedly, still unfazed by the young outsider's reaction.

They'd seen way too many people like this.

Seeming to think of sothing, he suddenly spoke again, changing topics. "Hey kid, forgot to ask—what are you here for?"

"I passed Roster Academy's online interview. If nothing goes wrong, I'll be there for several years."

The green young man pointed to the castle in the distance, barely visible and hidden among the forest, smiling as he spoke.

Just from these few simple exchanges, he'd developed a whole new understanding of the commoners here.

He could be certain that the commoners in his family's territory absolutely didn't have the clear logic these commoners had.

The commoners here all seed to have pretty good cultural literacy.

"Whoa, that's sothing!" The passerby looked at the green young man. "You're definitely going to be successful."

"Oh? Why do you say that?" The green young man was curious, blinking his eyes. He could feel that after hearing his words, the passerby's attitude had changed just a little.

"Isn't that obvious?"

The passerby looked confused. "Going to school lets you learn a lot of things. Learning a lot of things ans you'll understand a lot of things. Understanding a lot of things ans you can find a good job."

"My son just studied at night school for a while, and he easily beca a supervisor at the factory. Now his inco is several tis what ordinary workers make."

"Too bad I'm getting old. My ability to learn has dropped a lot. I'm having trouble keeping up with the tis."

The passerby laughed self-deprecatingly, then continued, "My son told the lord said that school will beco the best school on the entire continent."

"They'll teach the most important knowledge in the world there."

"I figure, whether you stay in our Roster territory in the future or go back to your hotown, you'll be soone with lots of knowledge. How could you not be successful?"

The green young man stood there listening to the passerby's words in a daze, his face showing more and more surprise.

A few months ago, churches everywhere had started establishing church schools. His family's territory was the sa.

But very few people were willing to join church schools.

Even when so churches proposed giving out free food just for attending, it only attracted a few people, and even that was very limited.

But here, so random passerby already had this kind of awareness.

It was really kind of... unbelievable.

He suddenly understood a bit why commoners here had such high status.

It wasn't because the factories needed these commoners, but because the commoners here really had developed a certain self-awareness.

Really kind of unbelievable.

All he could say was, this was Roster territory for you!

Even just so basic knowledge and shallow understanding had already given this green young man a whole new perspective on this place.

"So, kid, since you've co to our Roster territory, study hard."

The passerby said cheerfully, "I can tell you're a smart person. In our academy, you'll definitely beco soone capable."

"The Wild Mage said this era belongs to capable people! Keep at it!"

With that, the passerby even gave his shoulder a light pat.

The green young man instinctively wanted to dodge the hand reaching toward him, but in the end, he didn't.

He felt like his understanding had changed to so extent.

The passerby said a few more cheerful words, then said goodbye and headed toward other stalls in the distance.

Just seeing this, the green young man understood that the guy definitely didn't know his identity and wasn't trying to get sothing from him.

What he'd said really was just a Roster territory commoner's genuine understanding!
