Hardrial nodded, though he looked thoughtful as he stared at him.

’I knew it. It was a Class Mission,’ he thought and looked up at the mountain. ’But what kind of class mission gives that kind of test? Deflecting a teorite? Accelerating it? And now destroying it? What kind of class does this man have?’

He was stunned and couldn’t think of such an amazing class, but his thoughts increasingly converged on the idea that this man was a Lockward.

If he found out that Louis could create these class missions out of anything he wanted, he would surely die of a heart attack or think that he was so kind of almighty god who had been reincarnated.

Laura looked at Louis, frowning. "Why do you want to go back up? You almost died a few hours ago! You narrowly escaped being burned to death and didn’t die because of fate! Why the hell do you want to go back up?!" She imdiately complained, getting annoyed.

Louis looked at her, stunned by her scolding. He hadn’t expected her to react that way, but he smiled a little sheepishly.

"Learning magic always involves danger. I can’t run away from it just because I almost died..." he replied casually. He couldn’t tell her the real reasons, so he had to make up so excuses.

She put both hands to her chest. "It’s one thing for learning to be fraught with danger, but it’s another to seek out mortal danger on your own! That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen!" she said and looked at Hardrial.

"Professor, why aren’t you saying anything? How can you agree with this, when one of your students was on the verge of death a few hours ago? This isn’t like you!"

The fact that he was being scolded too made him blink several tis in confusion.

It was the first ti he had seen Laura like that, but he smiled. He couldn’t deny Louis this, no matter how worried he was.

A Class Mission isn’t sothing that cos along every day, and once it does, everyone will want to try to complete it, regardless of whether they are in mortal danger in doing so. Because it was sothing that rarely happened in your life.

Besides, at the end of it all, a great reward awaits you, so she can’t stop him.

"Er... anyway, the training isn’t over, and destroying it is less dangerous than speeding it up, isn’t it?" he said.

And now it was Laura who was perplexed, unable to understand whether she was dealing with her teacher or so usurper of unknown origin.

She didn’t think that fall had turned him into an idiot, did she? Although he seed more pensive lately, so it didn’t sound so far-fetched either.

But with Hardrial by his side, Louis spoke again.

"Yes. In fact, I’ll use level 4 magic and several level 3 spells to destroy it. It will be much less dangerous," he said. "And you two will be there. In case I fail, the professor can blow it up without any problems."

Laura still gave him a defiant or threatening look. Clearly, she didn’t think it was right and wasn’t going to back down.

Going up there at this point made no sense. The danger was deadly every ti, and if they failed due to human error, then they would be finished.

But seeing that they both agreed to go up, she could only remain sullen the whole ti as she climbed behind them.

Ahead, Hardrial looked at Louis.

"Level 4 magic, right? How many do you know?" he asked, curious.

"Just one, professor. I found it in one of the grimoires, and it’s done with the sa Weave as others I already knew, so it was easier for to theorize and learn it."

"So you’re already a level 4 mage, huh..." He turned his gaze back to the road ahead as they climbed the mountain. Thanks to the darkness of night, the winds weren’t too strong, although he had to kill more snakes because that’s when they ca out the most.

The fact that one of his students was already a level 4 wizard, being an Armantalist, undoubtedly made him proud.

Laura would probably reach that level in a matter of days, and that already made him proud, but Louis?

He had been studying under his tutelage for such a short ti that it scared him to think what he would achieve in the future if he were allowed to grow.

The question was, would they allow him to grow?

At 16, he arrived here without knowing any magic, which ans he beca an ascendant at that age. It’s been such a short ti, but he’s advanced to level 4 and also has stats above 100 points.

With all that, it’s impossible for him to belong to an ordinary family, and since he knows Dan Lockward well enough for him to do a lot of things for him, his background was obvious.

Now, if he had a Lockward as a student, what should he do? Feel proud or feel afraid?

The reality of the situation is that he didn’t introduce himself as Lockward, so there could be sothing behind this that he doesn’t expect. So betrayal, so expulsion.

’What should I do?’ he thought.

Not only would he have problems with the Lockwards if he taught a traitor (which would inevitably lead to his death), but his talent, being so great, would also attract problems from elsewhere.

Unwanted people don’t want young people to be so talented, especially if they don’t have enough backing. If it weren’t for him protecting Laura, she might already be dead, as there are many who want her dead.

But with soone as talented as Louis, he wasn’t sure that his re presence could intimidate those who want him dead.

The Church is not very friendly these days to those who threaten its position as ruler. And although the empire appears passive on the surface, beneath it, things were not so easy.

Great changes were taking place every day, people were dying, and others were rising to greatness. So were simply forced to surrender to others, for the empire was not peaceful these days.

With all that on his mind, Hardrial really didn’t know what to do with this student of his.

Having him under his public tutelage was not a wise move. He could die at any mont, or Laura could be targeted because she was close to him.

Either way, he had to try to do sothing.

While he was lost in thought, they reached the top of the mountain once again.

The ground was hotter than normal, but it wasn’t dangerous to walk on. Now, on the huge teorite in the center of the mountain, there was an additional teorite about 7 ters wide and 3 ters long. Louis’ bullet was still there.

"It has grown considerably over the past 20 years," said Hardrial, recalling the past.

"It grows?" asked Louis.

Hardrial nodded. "That large teorite absorbs the teorites that fall on it. Even if you see one that has just fallen up there and made a dent in it, it will slowly lt due to the heat given off by the larger one and end up being absorbed by it. If it is massive enough, it will allow the larger teorite to increase in size."

"I see."

"In a fantasy world, even a teorite inside a mountain seems to have its own secrets and mysteries," thought Louis, and decided to stop thinking about nonsense.

They returned to the central part of the mountain, where Louis began preparations for the destruction of the next teorite.

He tried several strategies, simulating them in his mind and with Hardrial’s help, trying to understand which magic would be most effective, and after 24 hours, he reached a conclusion.

Laura was focused on her own business, still annoyed, but Louis and Hardrial had a great ti preparing their strategy.

Hardrial wanted to see the result of Louis’s efforts, so when they managed to pinpoint the teorite they were going to attack, he watched him, ready, but letting him do the initial work.

Louis reloaded the cylinder of his revolver with only five bullets.

He didn’t think he needed more, but just in case, he prepared so additional cylinders filled with magic and placed them in different parts of his body.

The teorite he was going to destroy was quite large. More than 100 ters in diater. It was the largest teorite he had ever faced, so he didn’t know if his magic could destroy it.

Fortunately for him, he had chosen the most massive spells he could find, which were also the most penetrating.

When the teorite reached a distance where it could attack, Louis raised his hand toward it and tightened his grip on his revolver.

His aim had improved dramatically, and today he was going to show off his skills.

He took a deep breath and put all his power into it, sending it through his veins to the gun.

His eyes glowed softly, and he fired...

BANG*

BANG*

BANG*

BANG*

The four bullets carrying level 3 magic ca out first, leaving only one bullet in his cylinder. He didn’t change position, imdiately firing the fifth shot.

BANG*

The booming sound echoed in the starry night.

While so teorites fell in other parts of the world, in this area, the only teorite that was going to fall had powerful magic in front of it, ready to destroy it.
