"...you will co."

"Arza?"

"Are these the people you’re talking about?"

A faint smile curved his lips. He stretched out his palm.

Clang—clang—clang.

Dozens of gold jade tokens appeared in midair, suspended by invisible force. Each bore the cold insignia of the Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets. Bloodstains mottled their surfaces, so still fresh, so long dried, carrying faint remnants of Supre auras that had not yet fully dissipated.

The wind stilled.

"...?"

Da stood unmoving.

Though black satin bound his eyes, he was not blind.

He had never been blind.

Even without opening his eyes, his divine perception stretched across the Holy Peak, mapping every fluctuation of spiritual energy, every trembling soul, every breath of fear and awe.

The black satin existed for only one reason.

To warn himself.

Long ago, he had encountered a true terror—an existence that had split heaven and earth with a single sword. That sword had carved through his defenses, slashed across his eyes, and left a scar that burrowed deep into his Dao heart.

A reminder.

Never grow arrogant.

Never forget fear.

But now—

His perception locked onto the tokens.

His breath faltered.

"The identity token..." Da said slowly.

"That one belongs to Malrik."

"And that—Arza."

For the first ti since his arrival, his voice lost its ease.

Every token floating before Ethan belonged to a Supre of the Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets.

And two of them carried an aura he knew all too well.

The siblings.

Upper Supres.

Pillars of his Pavilion.

Now lying silently in Ethan’s palm.

That ant only one thing.

They had fallen.

Defeated.

Killed.

By a junior.

Impossible.

Da refused to believe it.

Ten years ago, Ethan had only been a seventh-turn Nirvana realm cultivator—and a physical one at that. Even for monstrous geniuses, breaking into the Supre Realm within ten years was nearly impossible.

For physical cultivation, it bordered on delusion.

Even if Ethan had stepped into the Supre realm, what then?

An Inferior Supre defeating two Upper Supres?

Absurd.

Whimsical.

Laughable.

And Malrik had not fought alone.

The Supre Elder of the Vernal clan had been there—an old monster whose strength rivaled Da’s own.

Three Supres.

One wielding an artifact, incomplete but terrifyingly resilient.

Unless an Ultimate Supre descended from the heavens, no one in Skyreach Territory could suppress them.

No one.

"Haha..."

Da laughed, though the sound rang hollow.

"Boy," he said lightly, "where did you get these tokens?"

Ethan’s gaze was calm, detached, almost bored.

"Your Excellency," he replied, "don’t pretend to be stupid."

"You know better than I do where they ca from."

"Or are you simply unwilling to accept the fact that Malrik and Arza were defeated by ?"

His tone was flat.

As though he were stating an obvious truth.

As though the Peak Upper Supre before him was nothing more than scenery.

Da’s smile vanished.

"You?" he sneered.

"Defeat two Supres of my Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets?"

"That’s nothing more than an idiot’s dream!"

"Our Pavilion was assisted by the Supre Elder of the Vernal clan," he continued coldly.

"You’re a re physical cultivator. Even with a divine weapon, you cannot defeat the three of them!"

A black heavy sword appeared in his hand.

The blade bent light, devouring surrounding sound, its edge carrying a cold intent that made even space shudder.

A top-grade spiritual weapon.

Da’s instincts scread danger.

Ethan’s aura was... strange.

Too stable.

Too deep.

Combined with the rumors that had spread like wildfire across Skyreach Territory—miraculous battles, slaughtering those far above his realm—

Da chose decisiveness.

He would not probe.

He would not hesitate.

He would kill.

"Ethan!" Edwin shouted from below, his voice strained.

"This man is an Upper Supre! He also has many Interdiate and Inferior Supres assisting him. Be careful!"

Ethan did not turn his head.

"Uncle Edwin," he said calmly, "I ca here precisely to deal with people like the Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets and the Vernal clan."

Below, Lyralei’s expression tightened.

"Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets... Vernal clan... Vernal Dawn royal family..."

Her doubts collapsed instantly.

Bram’s humiliation.

The retaliation.

"Master."

A weak voice sounded.

Seraphina descended from the sky and landed beside Lyralei. Her aura was unstable, her eyes dull, her forr pride shattered.

"Are you injured?" Lyralei asked, frowning.

"I’m fine..." Seraphina replied softly, lifting her gaze toward Ethan.

"How is Echo Lake?" Lyralei asked urgently.

"Did you invite the senior?"

"They’re here," Seraphina nodded.

"They’re here?!" Lyralei’s eyes lit up.

She had heard of Ethan’s deeds. Even ten years ago, he had already shaken Skyreach Territory. Now, rumors claid he wielded divine weapons and fought Supres head-on.

But even so—

He was alone.

Da was not.

When Seraphina pointed upward, her voice trembled.

"Master... the senior from Echo Lake..."

"...is Ethan."

"...What?!"

Lyralei froze.

Her eyes widened as she stared at the solitary figure in the sky.

"That’s impossible."

"The disciples begged the senior at Echo Lake," Seraphina said quietly, "but Ethan showed up instead..."

She lowered her head.

"Master, this is my fault."

"If I hadn’t been willful back then... the sect wouldn’t have ended up like this."

Lyralei remained silent.

Right and wrong no longer mattered.

Regret could not rewrite the present.

"Let bygones be bygones," she said at last.

"We resolve this first."

She looked up at Ethan, her voice firm.

"Ethan, you are only one person. The enemy has dozens of Supre experts."

"Don’t overdo it."

"Co down first. Activate the Origin Formation with . Block them outside, then we’ll discuss our next move."

"That way, we can preserve the sect’s heritage and foundation."

Ethan finally turned his head.

His gaze swept over her—cold, distant, rciless.

Then he spoke.

"Lyralei."

"I hope you understand sothing."

"I am not here to save you."

Her face hardened instantly.

Frost blood in her eyes.

Her fists clenched, nails biting into flesh.

As the sect leader, as a proud daughter of heaven, she would not bow.

"Ethan," she said coldly, "if you die, don’t bla for not reminding you!"
