Hearing Slade's answer, Arias didn't hesitate to ask, "Are there any other individuals of value being kept here?" To this, Slade thought for a mont but shook his head, "Depends on what you're looking for. In my opinion, no, there's nothing really special here. Even Tala is more high-risk, if you ask . As for the others, most of them are even worse. Possessed by demons, having divine blood in small strands, or being related to magical entities either by being a direct descendant or being passed power. Unfortunately, most of the cases don't truly exhibit much power. And according to the information we have, there are not too many standout perforrs. Most of them are kids or creatures that are thousands of years old."

Thinking along these lines, Arias kept quiet for a mont but then muttered, "I see."

Soon, the elevator reached the bottom floor, and the doors slid open. Upon doing so, several more guards were standing ready with their guns drawn toward the door.

Imdiately as the doors opened, they opened fire. However, Raven quickly extended her hand, muttered a chant, and stopped the bullets right in midair, coated in a dark black energy.

Next, she moved her wrists in a circular pattern and caused the bullets to turn around before she closed her fist, causing them to launch back at the attackers, piercing through their bodies at an astonishing speed.

*Whistle* Slade couldn't help but whistle in satisfaction while nodding in approval, "I guess magic does have an upside, apart from making things disappear," Slade joked.

Raven didn't respond to this, rely taking out the attackers present before returning to her initial stance.

After doing so, Arias walked out, leading the way, and Slade followed at his right-hand side, whereas Raven hovered a bit behind, turning her head to look at the bodies of the n she had just killed.

After passing these n, she then turned to look at the various cells that spanned nurous floors, all with transparent enclosures where all kinds of people could be seen.

The containers were soundproof, but one could only imagine what was being said as many of the figures banged against their enclosures, while others were in deep ditation.

Other enclosures had nurous sigils written all over them, whereas the entire vast hall had its walls lined with eerily red sigils all around.

Upon stepping on one such line, Raven felt a powerful shock strike her body before she was sent flying back. Arias stopped when he saw this and looked back at her, "The red lines must be so form of security against magical beings. You wait there," Arias said casually before proceeding with Slade.

Raven couldn't help but look at her now trembling hand and then at the lines of sigils covering the entire hallway, feeling a bit intimidated by this. After all, it wasn't every day that she encountered sothing that could hold her. However, she simply sat in a ditative pose and began to ditate right there.

anwhile, Slade led Arias through a number of cells. Arias couldn't help but glance around, seeing mostly young children or very old-looking people, with the occasional creature every now and then.

Soon, they arrived at a cell that looked pretty much like the rest; it didn't stand out in any way, and it was only marked CI-12, a designation number. Through the transparent container, Arias's gaze settled on the figure of a woman.

She was slender and had long purple hair and hollow light blue eyes. She, too, was in a ditative pose like many of the people present. However, she went a step further and was ditating in the air with several books circling around her. This wasn't that uncommon of a sight within the hall, though it did show a certain level of understanding of the arcane arts.

When the woman saw these two figures approach, her gaze imdiately settled on Slade, and she imdiately stopped her ditation and rushed toward the transparent panel. While her mouth moved, they were unable to hear what she was saying.

To fix this, Arias turned his head to Slade and told him, "Open it."

Slade was a bit taken aback by this but trusted Arias. "Are you sure you don't want to get a deal through first? As receptive as she is to the promises of resources, after the recent betrayal with Amanda Waller, I doubt she'd be so keen to hear you out. Also, I don't think she's very happy to see ," Slade said.

Hearing that, Arias couldn't help but ask, "Do you have history with her?"

Slade gave a slight nod, "Well, when she left the Cadmus program to go freelance, I'm the one Amanda sent to capture her. You can say she's not very happy to see ."

Arias released a sigh but didn't really add to that. "That's fine, open it," as Arias said this, Slade used the key card he had and the front container opened.

As soon as he did so, the woman's voice could now be heard, and it carried a tone of imnse anger, "You! How dare you co here? Do you zhink I have forgotten yvour tranzgrezzsions? Forfeit yvour life!"

The woman's eyes and hand glowed with an eerie purple color. She almost extended her hand toward Slade; however, at this ti, Arias's own eyes glowed an eerie color, and the woman suddenly felt her hands and entire body be constrained.

Arias then walked into the cell and said, "You will do no such thing. Now then, let's you and I have a talk."
