Arias's lavish yacht docked at the tropolis harbor that evening. Its size alone was enough to draw attention at the public docks, so he chose to dock it in a private area, popular for housing exotic yachts owned by the rich and wealthy.

Like many things in life, with enough money and connections, it was easy to do.

Despite docking earlier in the evening, Arias didn't exit the yacht until late at night. Under the cover of darkness, he, Cheshire, and Ivy made their way off the yacht and into the bustling night city.

Just as Ivy had ntioned earlier, tropolis had indeed beco a den of cri.

"Wow, it really has taken a page from old Gotham," Cheshire remarked as the trio stood atop a high building, observing the chaos below.

"I told you it's gone to shit. Never thought I'd see the day when I'd prefer Gotham over tropolis," Ivy added, shaking her head in disgust.

Not wanting to get involved in the ongoing chaos, they moved via the rooftops, leaping from one building to another and scaling towers.

Before long, they arrived in an eerily quiet residential area. Arias counted several apartnt buildings before stopping his gaze on the fifth one. "There."

Cheshire and Ivy followed his gaze and saw the rundown building he was looking at. "This new mber you ntioned lives in that dump?" Ivy narrowed her eyes, unable to imagine anyone credible staying there.

Arias gave her a sidelong glance and tilted his head. "That's ironic, coming from soone who stayed in the disease-filled, abandoned tunnels of Gotham."

"It was either that or Arkham, because rich boys like you just love to cut down forests to build things like these. I tear down a few for my babies, and suddenly, I'm a terrorist. That's what's ironic."

"Is it really? Anyway, are you sure that building is as simple as you think?"

Changing the topic back to the building and its uniqueness, Arias pointed to the building they were standing on. "Cheshire, quickly do a sweep of this building's top floor."

"You got it, boss." Without hesitation, Cheshire responded and leaped off the roof, landing precisely on a long set of stairs without making a sound.

She snuck through a window, entering a regular bedroom. However, she imdiately found it odd. *'Doesn't sll like a grungy, one-star apartnt.'*

Curious, she moved toward the door leading out of the apartnt and imdiately heard chatter coming from the hallway. Pressing her ear against the door, she listened in on an exchange between two adult males, the kind of conversation one wouldn't expect from residents of such a building.

**[Any movent?]**

**[No, none whatsoever. Sa results from watchers 3, 5, and 8. I'm starting to think this operation is a bust.]**

**[It's not our place to question orders. We're to watch for a visual confirmation of the package and imdiately contact HQ once we do.]**

**[Yeah, well, HQ's been a ss ever since Waller kicked the bucket.]**

Having heard enough, Cheshire smirked under her mask and reached into her outfit, retrieving a set of tiny, grayish beads. She quickly opened the door and threw them at the feet of the two n, causing a shroud of smoke to rise. Before they could react, she threw one of her knives, piercing one man's throat. Then she leaped onto the other's head, snapping his neck with her thighs as she spun downward acrobatically, all while the smoke expanded.

Back on the roof, both Ivy and Arias saw thin strands of smoke emanating from the nearest window. Before Ivy could ask, Arias gave her an order. "Check the top floors of the other surrounding buildings and kill any suspicious individuals."

Ivy didn't appreciate being ordered around, but with no choice, she showed a displeased look and walked away to begin her task.

As for Cheshire, without needing to be told, she began checking the other surrounding buildings, eliminating any non-residents she found. In her mind, since she wasn't told *not* to kill, there was no need to hold back.

Ivy used this chance to vent her anger, especially since her targets were male. Unfortunately for them, they were not prepared for such an attack, with only pistols at their disposal. These proved useless, as most were bound by Ivy's vines before she ended their lives by secreting her toxic blood through her fingers and dripping it onto their fresh wounds.

Her victims' faces contorted in pain as their veins turned a sickly green. Within a minute, they died miserably, flowers blooming from their mouths and eyes.

Cheshire was more clinical with her victims, ending their lives with swift strikes to the throat. The only ss was the blood they spewed as they bled out.

In less than 10 minutes, both won returned to the rooftop where Arias stood.

"All done~" Cheshire chid happily, wiping the blood off her knives on her outfit. Ivy didn't say a word and simply crossed her arms, staring at the target building.

"Good, then let's proceed. Cheshire, be on the lookout for any more unwanted individuals. Ivy, cover the building's rear exit, just in case."

Hearing these instructions, Ivy looked concerned. "Is the person you're looking for so nut who'll attack on sight? Seems like a lot of eyes for so everyday criminal, especially federal eyes."

"I never said they were an everyday criminal, now did I?"
