What might be inside the safe?
Receipts, deposit slips, money...
Lin Yue put on the exoskeleton, pushed these two heavy safes, and heard the clanging sounds from inside.
This suggested that there was likely sothing heavy like gold bars inside.
Lin Yue wasn’t interested in paper notes, but if it’s gold bars or coins, he’ll take as much as there is.
It’s not about greed; gold bars are, after all, tal, which might be useful for sothing in the future.
"Hope it’s gold bars, but could these safes contain a lot of alloy as well?"
He checked his storage space and found it was already halfway full, and most of it was related to tal.
This ti, he indeed gained quite a lot, worthy of a mysterious place!
As he exited, Lin Yue didn’t forget to carry a large chunk of concrete and several hundred red bricks.
Such basic items can be decomposed at a workbench to obtain blueprints, and if he can make them in the Otherworld, they could greatly improve his living environnt there.
"Next, let’s check out that mansion, just in case there’s sothing there."
The monster winged dragon over there had already been eliminated by him, and even if so remained, Bai could easily deal with them.
After all, even if there are many of them, those affected by spider venom are no match for the faster and stronger Bai.
Bai’s strong arms lifted Lin Yue, who had beco accustod to flying, and he was able to hold the alloy tactical crossbow and strike a pose in the air.
While he felt the turbulence in the air was excessive, the more he adapted, the more plausible it seed to beco a new tactical thod.
The wind was strong in the air, so Lin Yue had to keep his eyes half-closed, yet this ti, it seed the monster winged dragons did not want to give him a chance to experint; none appeared.
Bai landed directly in front of the mansion in the overgrown garden and set Lin Yue down.
"Squeak!" suddenly rang out, as Xiao ng hopped through the broken windows of the mansion, and before long, a series of crashes followed by the anguished cries of strange rats resounded.
Goodness, Xiao ng truly lives up to its na, sparking combat even when none is present.
Lin Yue circled around, collecting so broken glass, then walked straight inside.
The mansion has four floors. Although the furniture inside was ravaged by moisture and looked like papier-mâché, there were still plenty of useful items to be found. Especially the marble floor tiles; Lin Yue decided they must be taken away when he leaves.
He held the Iron Spear ready while locating the source of the sound from Xiao ng’s fight with the strange rats and unexpectedly found a staircase leading down.
It seed that there was a basent here too.
The sounds continued to co from below, and Lin Yue also heard noises resembling glass breaking.
Glass?
As he pondered this, a gust of cold wind brought a strong sll of alcohol from that direction.
Well damn, more booze?
It seed normal, after all; missing alcohol in a mansion like this would be odd.
Lin Yue turned on his flashlight and headed down the stairs, while Bai seed more interested in the first floor and didn’t follow him down.
At the end of the staircase was a half-open tal door. Upon placing it in the storage space, a wobbling white little creature promptly scampered out and with its presence at his feet, signaled Xiao ng had cleared the enemies in the area.
Looked like the little creature was drunk, swaying as if intoxicated.
Lin Yue shone his flashlight inside and quickly saw it was indeed another wine cellar.
Although much smaller than the wine cellar he’d discovered in Tokyo, there was plenty of alcohol within.
From the aroma alone, Lin Yue could tell this wasn’t a wine cellar.
It was only about 50-60 square ters, not much bigger than his shelter, but had a total of ten racks.
Spacious gaps between the racks allowed Lin Yue to pass through and look up at the three ters high racks with wooden crates stored intermittently.
The simple English labels on the crates inford Lin Yue of their contents.
"Whiskey... Well damn, a new hard currency!"
Lin Yue picked one up, opened it, and the nearly-new glass bottles inside emitted a captivating aroma.
He placed the wooden crates and whiskey bottles into the storage space, emptying them one by one; having co this far, leaving anything behind would feel like a waste.
Finally, at the last rack, Lin Yue discovered it had toppled over, and three strange rat corpses covered in frost lay nearby, with stacks of cardboard boxes scattered about; most were shattered with the liquor spilled out.
This must have been Xiao ng’s battle site, though it appeared Xiao ng didn’t bother with opponents of such a feeble caliber anymore, easily defeating three of them.
Surveying closely all around, Lin Yue noticed seven large wooden barrels, each about 200 liters.
He stored each one in the storage space before deciding to leave.
As for the wooden racks, he held little interest in them; although well-preserved, those he had crafted himself were vastly superior.
The Xiao ng on his shoulder seed genuinely intoxicated, slouched over with a groggy deanor, squeaking but not moving.
Returning to the first floor, Xiao ng promptly raised its little head, then nimbly leaped off Lin Yue’s shoulder, instantly darting up to the second floor.
Well damn, truly formidable.
Lin Yue scavenged the first floor, storing the broken gigantic LCD television in the storage space, and discovered what seed to be a servant’s room.
Only, this room had no valuable items, just so junk.
"Is there really nothing else?"
Lin Yue decided he should check the second floor and was about to leave when he discovered a room sealed with a tal door at the hallway’s end.
Experience told Lin Yue that the more guarded places would have the best treasures!
[You have obtained an Alloy Electronic Security Door]
Alloy? A gift on entering!
And it’s a security door?
With his flashlight scanning inside, Lin Yue saw another tal door.
After opening three doors, he finally saw stacks of small wooden crates piled on the floor.
Stepping inside, he took out a crowbar he found in the hangar and pried one open!
Under the flashlight’s illumination, a dazzling golden light flickered!
"These are... gold bars!"
The gold bars neatly arranged in the wooden crates were marked with ’999.9’ and labeled ’GOLD.’
Lin Yue picked one up and felt its hefty weight, estimating about 1 kg.
Well damn, have I stumbled into a gold vault?
Lin Yue stored all 12 small wooden crates, then turned to so stacked black boxes.
What might be in these? Could it be platinum, haha?
Approaching, he unlocked the latch.
But soon, a slender rifle with a sighting scope appeared before his eyes~
"This, this is actually... L115A3 Sniper Rifle!"
