The raging fire ignited on that monster through a thin thread of yarn.

The monster emitted a scream that seed to co from the depths of Hell, trying to extinguish the fire with its constantly twitching tentacles.

However, the tentacles ca into contact with the gasoline, igniting again, and the air was filled with a strange burnt stench.

Heat waves rolled, and thick smoke was overwhelming.

Lin Yue watched all this, feeling the enormous vibrations caused by the monster’s struggles, waiting for the opportunity to leave.

The monster wasn’t dead yet; if he left rashly, he might be caught in the final strike from the frenzied and desperate monster, dragged into the sea of fire and turned to ashes together.

"Squeak! Squeak!" Bai called next to Lin Yue, looking at the basin of gasoline, eager to volunteer again.

Lin Yue shook his head, thinking the fire’s big enough; pouring more gasoline might be tempting fate, little buddy.

For now, it’s sufficient, though if he wanted to make the fire bigger...

Lin Yue took out ten arrows, wrapping the tips tightly with yarn, then dipped the tips in gasoline for a mont and took them out, shaking them.

Then, he placed one on the alloy compound crossbow, aiming at the tentacle outside that wasn’t burning yet!

Lin Yue lit the arrowhead with a lighter, and soon the arrowhead shot out!

The fiercely burning arrow accurately entered the midsection of the tentacle, igniting it swiftly as if it were kindling.

Quickly, five more arrows flew out as Lin Yue lit each remaining tentacle one by one.

The corpse of the monster winged dragon continued to fall from mid-air to the ground, indicating the tentacle monster could no longer spare any attention for eating, only worried about escaping the firestorm.

Lin Yue noticed that these monsters seed quite afraid of fire; both the monster winged dragon and the tentacle monster reacted this way, as if their bodies contained highly flammable materials.

Could it be that the rats and blood-sucking worms, or even the mountain-sized gigantic beasts he saw earlier, were the sa?

While pondering this question, Lin Yue kept making flammable arrows.

The discovery was new this ti, yet the system remained unresponsive, perhaps due to the realm’s nature.

If he were in the Otherworld, would the system classify these as "burning arrows" and provide design blueprints?

The anguished screams of the outside tentacle monster had beco faint and weak.

Even the frenzy of their earlier struggles had significantly quieted down.

At this mont, Lin Yue only hoped for the monster to die quickly, so he could retrieve a few cars for the Shelter.

After a while, as the howling ceased and Bai squeaked, signaling safety, Lin Yue finally breathed a sigh of relief.

The outside air was truly unbearable; if not for the winged dragon feathers, he wouldn’t stay a second longer.

Moving quickly outside, Lin Yue busily used a dagger to cut off parts from the monster winged dragon’s body, storing each feather in his Storage Space.

After a while, Lin Yue then realized he’d collected a total of 2,544 feathers!

"Wow, that’s definitely enough for a while now." He took one last look at the once-arrogant tentacle monster, finding it thoroughly scorched with flas that refused to extinguish.

Moreover, this fire had ignited nearby trees and parts of the building, spreading further.

Seems... a big event just happened.

Lin Yue returned to the bakery, recalling sothing, and collected a monster winged dragon corpse, moving through the bakery to reach the parking lot.

With an additional 4 cubic ters in Storage Space, he could take another vehicle or even so of the bigger ones together.

"Squeak! Squeak!" Bai was also a bit tired; it had indeed given quite an effort during the fight, so Lin Yue offered it a lamb chop to snack on while he looked for operable cars in the parking lot.

As Bai devoured the lamb chop, Lin Yue continuously assessed the situation in the parking lot.

He was taking advantage of this mont to release so of the pressure from earlier.

Although the monster was eventually burned to death, the process was tough and dangerous.

If he hadn’t found the monster sensitive to pain, even afraid of fire, he didn’t dare imagine where he would be now.

Saying there’s no fear was impossible; the monsters, entirely unlike anything on Earth, inherently provoked fear of the unknown.

He’s not Superman; seeing this monstrous creature capable of killing powerful monster winged dragons, claiming no fear, would be a lie.

"Huh? This car... seems fine?"

Lin Yue found himself in front of a rusty-looking sedan, sowhat skeptical.

The system’s assessnt labeled it as "normal" rather than "damaged."

Lin Yue inspected it, unsure why this car remained intact on a post-apocalyptic Earth, but intact was intact.

He wasn’t interested in investigating further, just eager to store this treasure in his Storage Space.

He found four more sedans that looked good externally and stored them too.

If he could salvage so useful parts from these cars for equipping the dune buggy, it wouldn’t take long for him to be speeding across the Desert, being the coolest around.

But... is there any gasoline available?

Lin Yue felt a pang of jealousy toward the guy who previously sold him gasoline; he searched for so long without finding a gas station, while that guy had easily done so.

Now he’s lacking alloys, and gasoline too.

"Let’s go back, Bai, we’ll return tomorrow to collect more cars." Lin Yue sensed the temperature lowering compared to before and knew nightfall wasn’t far, despite lacking a precise sense of ti.

Leaving now was prudent, as it wasn’t definite what could happen when darkness fell.

Recalling when he encountered endless spider webs in the streets, Lin Yue shuddered.

If those things erged entirely, he wouldn’t have enough lives to survive.

"Squeak~" Bai seed to understand Lin Yue wanted to retreat, and proactively led the way after having its fill.

Lin Yue followed Bai back to the coastal road, gazing at the sea turning deep blue in the distance, feeling sowhat elated.

After returning, no sleep until he gets a car ready!

The yield was trendous this ti, and with the expanded Storage Space, he could act freely compared to before.

Leaving the roadside for the beach, Lin Yue decided to collect a square ter of asphalt, figuring it might be useful for building a road in the Otherworld.

Yet, as he rose and headed toward the beach, looking in the direction of the Ancient Secret Realm Gate, he found it gone!
