’Chris, what a disgusting coward,’ Roy thought, counting the opponents he faced. There were five in total, including Pierre.
They were taller, bigger, and obviously older than he was. However, that didn’t do much to quench the rising fla in his chest.
’I have to think. Either I use [2x Multiplier] or summon Greymane. I don’t have an energy pool for both.’
Pierre had his hands in the pockets of his uniform, his curtains hairstyle and charming smile radiating a sense of calm and control.
But Roy knew better. The strongest was the one with the power.
"Roy, Roy, Roy. If you kneel, apologise to , and kiss my foot, I will consider not giving you the worst beating of your life."
One of the seniors beside him, quite tall and horse-looking, scoffed.
"Nah, that’s easy. Make it two grand," he said, and the others comnted in agreent.
"Sigh..." Roy took off his black, rectangular bag and let it drop to the floor as they approached him.
"I can ruin all your lives, and you don’t even know it."
"Heh. Why are we still wasting ti to beat the shit out of this fucker?" voiced another senior.
The uniforms the boys wore were a black blazer with gold stripes, a white dress shirt, and black trousers. However, as school was over, so had their blazers kept elsewhere and folded the sleeves of the white dress shirt.
Pierre’s gaze turned serious, and he asked Roy, "So what’s it going to be?"
As of the mont, Roy was already cornered. His back was fixed against the wall of the alley, and the five older boys surrounded him, standing just about two tres away from him.
Roy laughed.
"Eat shit."
"You think you’re funny, huh?!" One of the seniors threw his leg forward to slam Roy back into the wall.
Whereas Pierre also swung the bat in his hand.
Before Roy, a wirefra of an abysshound materialised in specks of blue cubes, followed by the complete, towering form of Greymane.
Bam!
The bat and kick hit the body of the Strange Beast.
Roy grinned. "Everyone, et Greymane, my dog."
The senior at the furthest part of the group stepped back.
"W-What the fuck is that?"
"Abyss creature!" One scread in terror and fell on his butt as he scrambled backwards.
The serrated, crooked teeth, slanted back, long limbs, and furless body made them want to believe that this was just a dream, a nightmare.
"Beast! It’s a Beast!"
"R... Run..."
However, they couldn’t. They were frozen in place, and one of the seniors even pissed his uniform. This was the effect of [Aura of Submission].
"Greymane..." Roy simply called.
The abyss hound opened its mouth to the nearest one who insulted Roy, acting as though it wanted to bite the head clean off. He shivered in fear and cried.
"P-Please! I never wanted to do this! Please..."
Roy sent a ntal command, and Greymane retracted the gaping maw.
"Th-Thank you. We weren’t even going to beat you up; w-we just wanted to scare you. I swear!"
"I... I don’t want to die. I’m sorry, please. My parents need , please."
The others begged for their lives, but Pierre.
"Roy, you devil! How can you control an abyss creature? You are a devil!" he said with vitriol, pointing at Roy standing behind the abysshound.
Roy frowned.
"Tch. It’s an abyss soul, you idiot."
Pierre gnashed his teeth under the submission of Greymane. If he tried to run, no doubt that the beast would catch him in less than a second.
"So you’ve had a system all this ti?! And you kept it a secret from the Executioners Association! I-I’ll report, you devil!"
Roy wanted to tell him to do his worst, but he was afraid Pierre might resort to using the ragdoll.
’Dammit. I really want to teach Pierre and these bastards a lesson, but...’
Roy sighed. "You seniors pick on juniors, traumatise them, and think it’s funny. If any of you ever bully anyone again, I will have my dog here chew out your bones. Sa thing if anyone hears about what happened today. Am I clear?"
"Yes!"
They all answered, except for Pierre.
"Now scurry off!"
With Roy permitting them to leave, Greymane did too, and they thanked him dearly.
"...Not you, Pierre."
Pierre halted, horror evident in his eyes.
"Wait! Don’t go!" he scread at them, but they ignored him and jogged away. "Tsk. Damn cowards. What do you want from , huh? Are you going to kill ? Does Jane being my girlfriend make you hate this much?"
Roy raised a brow and sneered. "Hate you? What are you talking about?"
"Don’t lie to . I know you hate . You always have."
’...Wait, this is my chance.’ Roy feigned a thoughtful expression, and he asked:
"How are you so sure? Don’t tell ... you’re an Irregular too, aren’t you? And better not lie to ."
Pierre’s unwillingness to answer was answer enough.
"Tsk. I’ve suspected for so ti now. You bastard hypocrite, does the Executioners Association know about you?"
Pierre wore a guilty expression and looked away.
Roy’s gaze turned stern, and he made Greymane fall Pierre and stand over him to intimidate him.
"What’s your system’s na?" he asked.
Pierre cursed. "Who the fuck are you? Why should I tell you?"
Roy stared blankly.
"I wont’t kill you if you don’t, but I can’t guarantee that your hand will still be a part of your body after."
Of course, anyone would know Roy was bluffing. But with an over five feet tall dog with jagged teeth standing over your body, you couldn’t afford to take the risk.
"Tch. It’s L-Love."
Pierre answered coldly.
"Love..." Roy repeated as though he had only heard it for the first ti. "You bastard. I suspected. You used your love skills on Jane, didn’t you?! You tricked her into being your girlfriend!"
"No! I would never! I would never use it on anyone!
"Then how do you know I hate you?!" Roy asked spitefully. "You must have used it on , too, your wicked skills!"
"B-Because that’s my passive skill. I only checked once what she thought of and stopped using it. I swear! She’s my girlfriend. I didn’t need tricks. She just likes more than she does you. So stop being a jealous arse and move on!"
Roy dematerialized Greymane and slapped Pierre through the blue boxes.
"Shut up!"
Bearing a deep frown, he straightened his back and stood upright, breathing heavily. It was getting harder to control his rage against this asshole, but he just couldn’t shake what on earth happened to that Mutated Monster when he cursed it with the rad doll, or Hanabira Reina’s bullies.
"You’re damn right! I do hate you. So much that I want to let my dog ss your damn face up. But I am not so much of a loser to forget that I am human."
Roy grabbed his bag and began walking away, a dark shadow over his eyes as he still tried not to feel so angry about Jane. She made her choice. And he never confessed. If anything, at this mont, he felt angrier with himself.
Pierre got up in confusion and stared at Roy walking away.
Roy sighed. "Just leave Chris and alone from now on. Stay out of my way, and I’ll stay out of yours."
After walking a few tres, he entered a sprint and ran away from the area. If an abyss creature was spotted in a safe district and reported, the authorities were going to arrive in a snap. He couldn’t let them arrest him. And luckily for him, there were no caras in that lonely alley. Pierre and the seniors had probably chosen it because of that fact.
Roy arrived at a significant distance away and panted.
’Phew. With what I said, he shouldn’t use his ragdoll on . Hopefully...’
