"Alright, Chenxi. If this attack is successful, you’ll get the top credit. When we get back, I’ll give you a vacation to rest up. Or, if there’s anything you’ve had your eye on in the points store, I’ll buy it for you as long as it’s not over 2,000 points."

"Thank you, My Lord." Chenxi smiled sweetly. "It’s my honor to be of help to you."

"So, tell us how this Magic Array of yours works so everyone can coordinate."

"First, the three Druids summoning the tornado will stand here." Chenxi pointed to the center of the Array.

"Next, everyone else with Wind Spiritual Energy will stand in these positions." Chenxi pointed to so distinct circles within the Magic Array.

"There’s a critical point to note: everyone standing in the Array must possess Wind Spiritual Energy. Anyone with other types of Spiritual Energy must not enter. If other energy attributes are mixed in, it’s highly likely to injure everyone involved."

"Also, those with greater energy strength and larger reserves need to stand closer to the center. Everyone else will stand on the periphery."

...

To save ti, Chenxi took her Magic Staff and began carving the Array into the ground while explaining the positions and principles to everyone. To prevent any accidents, the Magic Array was set up a short distance away from the skeleton horde.

Half an hour later, the Array was complete, and those with Wind Spiritual Energy had taken their positions within it.

In the very center stood the three Fierce Raptor Druids. Their task would be to channel their internal energy into the Magic Array, helping it unleash the tornado.

Indeed, the three of them were rely ordinary soldiers, not heroes with powerful constitutions. They couldn’t withstand the pressure of such imnse energy passing through their bodies; forcing it would only cause their bodies to explode.

Chenxi had modified the way the Magic Array operated. After casting a spell once, the Array would maintain the spell’s magical frawork and continue to cast it indefinitely.

If the three Druids could just successfully guide the Magic Array to unleash the tornado, half the battle would be won.

The other half of the task fell to the heroes in the innermost circle of the Magic Array. These included Phantom and four others: two Legendary Heroes and two Exceptional Heroes.

Due to the vast differences in their physical constitutions, Chenxi had made a final adjustnt to the Magic Array: Phantom would bear half of the pressure, the two Legendary Heroes would take on three-eighths, and the two Exceptional Heroes would share the final one-eighth.

While enduring the Spiritual Energy flowing through them, they also had to carefully regulate its output to keep the entire Magic Array stable.

On the periphery were the wind-specialist Druids and a few mbers of the exploration team who also possessed Wind Spiritual Energy.

Their responsibility was to output Spiritual Energy once the Magic Array beca active. It was the simplest task, but they could still get injured if they weren’t careful.

To prevent the energy from running out and draining the chanellers’ potential (soul, bloodline, and the like), a dozen or so other mbers with Wind Spiritual Energy were standing by, ready to substitute in at any mont.

With all preparations complete, Lin Yu stood before the group, taking on the role of temporary commander.

"Except for the three exploration team mbers beside who specialize in defense and these two who specialize in targeted strikes, everyone else find a hiding spot near the skeletons’ alert periter."

"Pay attention. Your spacing should be based on your attack range. When the attack begins, try to avoid having your attacks overlap. Your goal is to lure as many skeletons as possible out from behind their periter."

"To do that, you need to hit as many individual skeletons as you can."

"Also, once I give the signal, the attack sequence will be from the outermost flanks, moving sequentially toward the center. Try to pull all the lured skeletons to this area in front of , so the Array team can attack."

"Is that clear?" Lin Yu shouted to everyone.

"LOUD AND CLEAR—"

"Good! Then proceed as planned!"

Next, the mbers in charge of kiting the enemies moved to form a semicircle around the skeleton horde.

On Lin Yu’s command, the outermost mbers on the flanks attacked first, followed in sequence by those closer to the middle, and finally the mbers at the very center.

Everyone used area-of-effect attacks, needing only to maximize their range without worrying about power. After all, the Energy Gathering Skeletons’ high Defense Power was more than enough to withstand such attacks, provided not all of them were hit at once.

The plan was a great success. The majority of the skeletons charged past their periter, rushing toward their attackers.

The team led the skeleton horde to the designated spot, then quickly vacated the area.

They were simply taking advantage of the fact that Skeleton Soldiers were slow.

Back at the Magic Array, Chenxi saw that nearly all the Skeleton Soldiers had entered the target zone and her allies were clear. She imdiately commanded the three Druids at the Array’s center to begin casting.

After a few seconds of adjustnt, the Druids skillfully began channeling their internal energy to cast the spell on the target area. Since their bodies were linked to the Magic Array’s power, the Array automatically mirrored their casting, forming a massive tornado in the target zone.

"Alright, it worked!" the surrounding mbers cheered boisterously.

Chenxi, however, didn’t relax. She began directing Phantom and the other four to control the flow of Spiritual Energy and sustain the tornado.

The tornado spun with a great WHOOSH. Though the Skeleton Soldiers’ attack and defense were high, their weight hadn’t increased. They were still light and were easily swept up into the vortex.

They spun and collided endlessly within the tornado but didn’t seem to be taking much damage.

"Chenxi?"

Seeing this, Lin Yu looked anxiously toward Chenxi.

"Don’t worry, My Lord. There’s more to the Magic Array," Chenxi said calmly, though inwardly she was anything but.

’The spell model for this tornado is one I chanced upon in the library. With my excellent mory, I naturally recalled it. I slightly modified the Array to give the spell wide-area attack power.’

’After the tornado has been active for a while, the abundant Wind Spiritual Energy within it will form Wind Blades. As more and more blades appear, they will eventually fill the entire vortex, relentlessly attacking everything caught inside.’

’This is the attack thod I designed specifically to eliminate this horde of Energy Gathering Skeletons.’

As she watched with a tense gaze, Wind Blades began to appear inside the tornado. There were only a few at first, but their numbers grew with each passing mont.

"That’s incredible, Chenxi! You actually modified it into a tornado of Wind Blades," Lin Yu exclaid happily. ’This should seal the deal.’

Chenxi was happy too, but she kept her eyes fixed on the Magic Array and the tornado.

Sure enough, just as she feared, sothing went wrong.

A wisp of wind suddenly leaked from the tornado, and Chenxi’s keen senses imdiately detected the change.

’The model is unstable?’

She looked toward the Magic Array, sensing the energy flowing within it, and quickly discovered a slight blockage in the energy of one of the mbers.

"Taiya, switch Guer out imdiately! There’s sothing wrong with his body!"

After the substitute was swapped in, the energy flow within the Magic Array beca smooth once more.

After that, Chenxi had to deal with several more sudden issues.

Finally, after the tornado had been raging for nearly twenty minutes, its interior was completely filled with massive Wind Blades. Then, in a single instant, all the Skeleton Soldiers within the vortex crumbled to pieces simultaneously.
