Not long after, Zayen suddenly stopped in his tracks.
In front of him were two corpses lying on the ground, with fresh blood flowing continuously from them. One of them even had his internal organs exposed, the scene being extrely grueso.
And next to the two corpses was a beast licking its wounds.
[Na]: Embertail Fox
[Level]: 2
[Attack]: 35
[Speed]: 40
[Defense]: 30
It was a heavily injured Level 2 Magic Beast, still writhing as it attempted to heal itself.
When Zayen saw it, he imdiately understood—this was the Level 2 beast the team had been shouting about, and the two corpses lying nearby must have been their unfortunate teammates, killed by the creature.
[Divine Manifestation]
With a thought, a longsword of radiant golden light materialized in his hand, gleaming with divine energy. He raised the long sword in his hand and prepared to fight.
Despite the difference in level, Zayen felt no fear. He possessed three Eternal-grade skills granted by his talent—powers far beyond anything this beast could hope to match.
Besides, the Embertail Fox was already on the brink of death; handling it would be nothing.
And, if the battle proved more difficult than expected, he still had the Redeed Holy Angel waiting in the Realm of Light. He could summon it to fight by his side, and even if victory seed impossible, he always had the option to retreat.
"Well, it’s ti to die." Zayen’s gaze turned cold as he raised the sword of golden light and charged forward.
The Embertail Fox, still licking its wounds, noticed him rushing in and imdiately sprang to its feet, baring its fangs and staring at him with a cold, feral glare.
But Zayen felt no fear. With a surge of power, he increased his speed and closed the distance between them in an instant.
The Embertail Fox, seeing him still coming, lunged forward with a pounce.
[Divine Manifestation]
Zayen didn’t dodge. Instead, he activated [Divine Manifestation]. A shield of radiant golden light erupted in front of him, blocking the beast’s attack with a blinding flash.
Because the Embertail Fox was heavily injured, its reflexes and attacks had lost much of their ferocity.
Seizing the opportunity, Zayen shifted smoothly to the side, gripping his sword tightly. With a precise, powerful thrust, he drove the golden blade toward the Embertail Fox’s head, aiming to finish the fight in a single strike.
The Embertail Fox let out a pained, guttural howl as the tip of the sword pierced through its head with a brilliant flash of light.
Zayen didn’t hesitate at all. He twisted the sword with precision, driving it deeper to ensure the strike would finish the fight. The Embertail Fox’s body trembled violently before collapsing to the ground with a heavy thud.
Zayen wasn’t convinced the beast was dead, so he stepped forward and drove the golden sword into its skull a few more tis just to be certain.
[Congratulations, Host. You have killed a Level 2 Magic Beast: Embertail Fox!]
[Experience 20]
Only after hearing the system notification did Zayen finally relax.
Confirm that the Embertail Fox was indeed dead.
Panting heavily, Zayen took a long ti to recover.
When he looked at himself again, he realized that he was covered in blood, in a sorry state.
"What a ss..." Zayen sighed helplessly.
At this ti, Zayen had gradually regained his composure. He hurried to the front of the two corpses and activated the [Legions of Light] skill.
"Rise... and be redeed by the Light."
A golden light enveloped the two corpses. Wrapping them in a cocoon and then shooting them straight into the sky.
[Congratulations, Host. You have successfully resurrected two Redeed Holy Guardian Angels. ]
[System Notice: Your Holy Guardian Angel talent, Novice Swordsmanship (D-Grade), has successfully been upgraded to Divine Blade Mastery (S-Grade).]

"Three Redeed Angels... Not bad, not bad at all."
Su Feng’s eyes glowed with excitent as he stared at the system notification in front of him.
With the three angels at his side, he finally felt a sense of ease—surviving in this bloody, rciless world suddenly seed much more manageable.

"Amazing... amazing! This skill is truly incredible."
Looking at the information of the Redeed Angels displayed before him, Zayen couldn’t help but smile; he could barely contain his excitent.
At that mont, he genuinely felt it—with just [Legion of Light], he could survive in this bloody, chaotic world.
After reading the information on the Redeed Angels, Zayen closed the system interface. At that mont, his expression shifted slightly, a faint seriousness flickering across his face as he turned to look in a specific direction.
Zayen’s ears twitched as he caught the sound of approaching footsteps, along with faint voices carrying through the air.
"Damn it! Our group is so unlucky—first we happen to encounter an injured level 2 magic beast, and now we again run into five level 1 magic beasts!"
"Yeah! We already lost two mbers before, and now everyone’s injured."
"This world is truly dangerous."
"Hey! Stop complaining. Let’s deal with that Level 2 Magic Beast first. Even though it’s a Level 2, it’s heavily injured and on the verge of death. I wonder if it managed to escape?"
"Let’s hurry! Don’t let soone else take advantage of it!"
"Let’s go!"
As soon as their words ended, the sound of hastened footsteps followed.
Zayen’s eyes narrowed. Because he recognized those voices—it was the sa group he had heard when he killed the Mushroom Rat King.
