Early the next morning, Charles resud his usual routine, just like he had at the Genosha Cyber Academy.
He woke up early, washed up, and headed to the dining hall's private room to have breakfast with Max and the others.
Today was a rest day, so there were no classes to attend.
To be honest, it had been quite a while since he last set foot in a classroom. It felt like attending classes was sothing from a distant past.
Originally, Charles had planned to head into the academy's training room to train Max, Mousie, Mia, Little Gold, and the others to level up.
However, Zachary had sent him a ssage, saying that Camilla and Jace both missed Charles terribly and suggested he find so ti to et them at the café near the academy entrance.
Of course, Luma, Finn, and Luna were also there.
Charles thought for a mont. It would be a bit rude to refuse them outright. Plus, now that he had reached Level 5 Beast Master, he was soon going to head to the Cyber Academy's headquarters at the Haunted Marsh for further training. It was unlikely he'd see the people from Genosha again anyti soon.
So, he decided to join them for a gathering and promised himself he would spend more ti training later in the evening.
Before long, Charles arrived at the café he and Zachary had often visited. As soon as he entered, he spotted a familiar face.
A man, looking to be in his forties, dressed in a server's uniform, was staring intently at Charles, his face betraying excitent that he could not hide.
Charles imdiately asked, "Hello, have we t before?"
The middle-aged man froze for a mont. He hadn't expected Charles to ask such a question, but quickly recovered and answered,
"I delivered flowers to you when you went on a mission before."
"Back then, I looked nothing like I do now, so it's normal for you not to rember , Mr. Charles."
Charles nodded, then began walking toward the usual private room they t in. He paused just as he reached the door, then slowly said,
"You look much better now than back then. Keep up the good work."
The middle-aged man stood frozen, watching Charles enter the private room. His eyes instantly welled up with tears, and a smile he couldn't control appeared on his face.
He muttered, "Back then, I was just a holess man. It was Mr. Charles who inspired and gave hope to live a better life again."
"Thank you."
"Thank you."
Inside the room, Zachary, Luna, Finn, Luma, Genosha's second princess Camilla, Jace, and Celestine were already waiting.
The others seed fine, but Luna, Camilla, and Celestine, the three girls, were sitting quite spread out, each with an empty seat next to them.
The mont Charles entered, the three ladies imdiately shifted their attention to him.
Camilla glanced down at the empty seat next to her, subtly indicating to Charles.
Luna did nothing but quietly stared at Charles.
As for Celestine, she spoke up directly, "Charles, you're here, co sit next to ."
Charles instinctively sat next to Celestine, but as soon as he did, he felt two sharp gazes fixed on him.
Camilla lifted her now-cold coffee and drank it in one gulp, while Celestine's face displayed a satisfied smile.
The atmosphere in the room was a bit awkward. Zachary and the others wanted to laugh, but felt it was not the right mont.
As ti passed, the group first had a brief celebration of their victory over Kingston and Genosha, then began discussing future plans.
Apart from Luna and Charles, who were both level-five Beast Masters, the others would need to take an assessnt to enter the Cyber Academy headquarters.
This assessnt would be held alongside other talented level-four Beast Masters from different regions. Finn had a fair chance, but for Zachary, Luma, and the others, it was going to be much more difficult.
Charles actually hoped that when he arrived at the Cyber Academy headquarters, he would have a few more familiar faces around. But when it ca to the assessnt, there was nothing he could do but hope that Zachary and the others would perform beyond expectations.
As for Charles, he briefly ntioned that in a few days, he would be leaving Genosha Calivia to handle so matters elsewhere.
Upon hearing this, Luna, Camilla, and Celestine all instinctively looked at Charles again, their eyes filled with reluctance. The most noticeable was Celestine's, while Luna's reluctance was hidden deep within.
Soon, after the gathering ended, Charles returned to the Cyber Academy.
He was about to rush into the training room to begin his training when he received a ssage from Professor Ezra.
It was a short ssage that essentially said that by the ti Charles received it, Professor Ezra had already left. He thought saying farewell in person was too troubleso, so he figured sending a text was better.
At the end of the ssage, Ezra reminded Charles to focus on improving his strength, and if anything ca up, he could reach out to Colton or Ezra's friends in the Haunted Marsh. Ezra also expressed that they didn't know when they would et again, and hoped that when that ti ca, Charles would have beco a powerful Beast Master.
After reading Ezra's ssage, Charles took a deep breath. He lifted his head, intending to look in the direction where Ezra had left, but he didn't even know which way Ezra had gone.
The Abyssal Great Wall—Charles was certain he had to go there.
He hoped that when he did, he would be able to et Ezra again.
Without hesitation, Charles entered the training room at the Genosha Cyber Academy and began his training.
It wasn't until late at night that Charles finally walked out of the training room.
After returning to his dorm, Charles quickly cleaned the sweat from his body, then took out his phone to contact Soren, who was in Celestial City.
Soren delivered so bad news.
The local force that had once sealed off the Infinity Isles Forest, known as the Infinity Isles Luo Family, had recently lifted the blockade on the forest.
Moreover, many powerful Beast Masters had appeared near the Infinity Isles Forest, as though a stronger force had replaced the Luo Family and actively taken control of the area.
Charles furrowed his brow. Could it be that the situation with the Infinity Isles had drawn the attention of other powerful forces?
The Luo Family's strength was clearly no match for these other powers, which was why they had seemingly stepped aside without resistance.
This wasn't good news for Charles. He had hoped that the Infinity Isles Luo Family could maintain control over the situation, but it seed impossible now.
It looked like he would have to leave for the Infinity Isles sooner rather than later. Otherwise, getting into the Infinity Isles Forest might beco a problem that would be difficult to solve.
In the Haunted Marsh, at the Beast Master Tower, Isolde, the tenth mber of the ten-mber council, was in his room playing video gas.
Finally having so free ti, he was determined to relax and enjoy it.
There was nothing better than video gas to help unwind.
Just as Isolde was fully imrsed in the ga, his phone suddenly vibrated—it was a call.
Glancing at the na on the phone, Isolde didn't even pause the ga and quickly answered the call.
Cuny's voice ca through the phone, "In a few days, go to the Abyssal Depths Celestial City. There are so things that need your attention."
Isolde imdiately protested, "Boss, I just finished the last mission and haven't had any rest yet. Can't soone else go instead?"
It was as if Cuny hadn't heard Isolde's protest, continuing, "There's a suspected appearance of a light-elent divine beast over there. You need to keep an eye on things and prevent those cursed by the Constellation from causing any chaos."
Isolde sighed in resignation, "Fine, fine, I'll take the mission. By the way, the last ti I ran into that Charles kid, he seems to have returned to the Abyssal Depths. If I'm going there for the mission, maybe I can kill so ti by catching up with him."
Cuny's voice was unusually calm, but beneath that calm tone, there was an unmistakable command as he said,
"Stop testing . I should know better. If it were possible, I wouldn't have erased your mory. So, be honest and just do what you're supposed to do."
Isolde's eyes imdiately lit up. He was now certain that the mories he had lost were sohow related to Charles.
After Cuny ended the call, Isolde took a deep breath. He was eager to find out what exactly Charles had that could lead Cuny, one of the ten council mbers, to ruthlessly erase his mory.
This mission to the Abyssal Depths Celestial City would be a perfect opportunity to get to the bottom of it.
As for Cuny's warning, Isolde didn't take it seriously. He knew very well that the reason Cuny had assigned him this mission and not soone else was largely because he knew Charles.
If he ran into Charles, and Charles got into any kind of trouble, he'd be in a position to help.
If soone else had been sent, they wouldn't have the sa connection to Charles.
Isolde glanced at the video ga in his hands and sighed. The news about the suspected appearance of a light-elent divine beast in Celestial City was certainly sothing more than just the Beast Master Guild knew.
It was a divine beast after all—sothing every Beast Master would go wild for. Not only that, but powerful factions like Suspended Mountain in the Haunted Marsh, the Beast Sect, and many other strong powers would surely be heading to Celestial City as well.
All kinds of geniuses would be drawn to the area, and even so sleeping talents might wake up to seize the opportunity.
With so many talents gathering and various factions competing, the Constellation organization would naturally seize the chance to stir up so trouble. When that happened, Isolde would certainly be kept busy!
