Wynne was surprised.

"Who is it?"

"It was Miss Morrison at the party today. Her pills might be able to save Uncle Whitmore."

He was taken aback. The pills did indeed have an effect, but he looked at Thomas lying on the hospital bed and still shook his head.

"If we used her things, he would give up on life even if he were cured."

He knew Thomas well enough to say that.

Amy said nothing, but there was a hint of doubt in her eyes.

Suddenly, a clear and beautiful voice sounded.

"Is there really no way to save Dad?"

Everyone looked in the direction of the voice and saw a young girl, dusty and hurriedly running over with an urgent look.

Wynne was puzzled.

"Susan? Why are you back?"

Susan looked at Thomas on the bed, her eyes gradually turning moist.

"If I didn’t co back, I would never see Dad again. You all hid this matter from ..."

She had been studying abroad, and after noticing strange behavior from Wynne and Thomas recently, only then did she inquire from various sources to find out that Thomas was already seriously ill.

With a pleading look, she turned to David. "Is there really no other way?"

David shook his head.

"It’s better to make preparations early."

After saying that, he left the room, and Amy also sighed before leaving.

She had done her best.

Wynne took a towel from beside him and gently wiped Thomas’s body.

"This is Dad’s own choice."

Susan was montarily stunned, understanding what Wynne ant despite not saying a word.

Thomas had always kept soone in his heart. As ti passed, not only did his thoughts of them not lessen, but they even grew deep into his bones.

It was precisely because of excessive longing that his body failed so quickly. He didn’t want treatnt; rather, he was willing to accept death.

Both of the siblings knew this.

"Susan, let’s help Dad fulfill his last wish."

Thomas’s last wish was to hear a song sung by the person he held dear once more, "When the Wind Stops."

It was once their special song.

Susan lowered her head.

"Not to ntion where that lady is, or even if she’s still alive—the problem is, would she still be willing to sing?"

Wynne stood up, his gaze firm.

"Let’s try to find her first. I heard Dad say before that they had once studied music together with an artist who was a renowned singer in the country, Doris Clark."

Susan nodded. "Okay."

In the car, Amy was frowning as she contemplated what Wynne had just said. What on earth is the connection between him and Cecilia?

Though she wasn’t interested in gossip, she found herself inexplicably interested in Cecilia. She refused her entertainnt industry resources, but she had a rare prescription and was even acquainted with the top doctor Evan. Most importantly, she was the first woman Steven gave special treatnt to.

"Uncle David, can Cecilia’s pills cure Thomas’s illness?"

Amy’s mother once helped David resolve a dical conflict abroad, so they shared so rapport.

David didn’t want to admit he was inferior to a young girl, but he saw no need to lie to Amy.

"I can’t say it will cure him, but it might keep him alive; restoring him to normal life is probably possible. I just don’t know why the Whitmore family is so stubborn that they would rather go with death rather than use that dicine..."

Amy understood. Since Cecilia’s offer was rejected, her own offer should not pose an issue.

It seems she would need to obtain that prescription soon.

She thought about how the Whitmore family could be used for her purposes if this worked out.

Thinking this, a smile gradually crept up her face.

Upon returning to the hotel, Cecilia saw Emma chatting on the phone with Alex.

The two kids kept giggling at each other. Cecilia felt quite relieved to see them getting along so well.

"Brother, let’s go out and play tomorrow~"

Unusually, there was no imdiate reply from the other end of the call. After a while, Alex’s voice finally ca through.

"Not tomorrow. I start school tomorrow."

Emma’s little face fell as she murmured in sadness.

"Okay, then you go rest, Brother."

After she said that, she hung up the phone and snuggled into Cecilia’s arms.

"Mommy, what does starting school an?”

Cecilia, who had been resting her eyes, was suddenly jolted awake. School?

This month was indeed the peak ti for schools to begin.

She had originally planned to return to the country for three months and locate her son. After settling everything, she would send Emma off to start school.

But given Alex’s unique status, she had not made any moves.

She didn’t realize so much ti had passed.

Reality suggested that the delay might extend even longer.

Indeed, it was ti to let Emma start school; she was getting bored staying in the hotel every day.

Thinking this, she quickly searched online and eventually settled on a school.

Arleston International School.

However, on the school’s official website, a bold statent stood out:

"Enrollnt Slots Available: Two."

The school’s strict entry standards are world-renowned, whether it cos to the child’s family background, talent, or even looks—only the best would do.

The founder of the school was also a mystery, as no one had ever t them.

Having his specially-made badge would an an entry pass to anyone with it.

Globally, there are only ten such badges.

Cecilia smiled. She decided to go to this school!

She was just about to click to enroll when suddenly she received a phone call.

She frowned. Why was it her?
