Elena walked up to Cecilia and held her hand.

"Is that your ex-fiancé and your father over there?"

Even though Elena and Jas usually looked kind and gentle, their success in reaching the top of Star City’s construction industry was enough to suggest they weren’t to be underestimated. They had already thoroughly investigated everything about Cecilia and Morrison’s family.

She had an ex-fiancé who was a jerk, a domineering father, a manipulative stepmother, and a malicious stepsister.

Those years must have been so tough for her...

Sophie and her family—evidently unaware of what Elena had just said—were still brimming with confidence.

Especially so for Sophie, who pointed at Elena with disdain.

"Who are you? Which kind of blind fool are you supposed to be?"

Cecilia’s expression turned cold as she gave Sophie a sharp slap right across the face.

"Watch your mouth!"

Nearby, when Frank saw this, he was infuriated and raised his hand to hit Cecilia.

"You dare to slap your sister? You have crossed the line!"

Jas’s eyes flashed with disgust as he reached over and stopped Frank.

"How dare you try and touch her?"

Being blocked by Jas’s hand, Frank felt humiliated and asked angrily.

"And who do you think you are? This is a family matter. How dare you, an outsider, interfere when I’m disciplining my daughter?!"

Cecilia wanted to step up and argue back, but Elena had stopped her.

Elena smiled and held Cecilia’s hand tighter.

"I am Cecilia’s great-aunt, and I also..."

Before Elena could even finish talking, Mariah suddenly laughed out loud.

"Great-aunt? I thought it was soone more important."

Sophie chid in, "You’re probably just a hillbilly from the rural countryside who wants to go up our family tree.

"Let tell you; Cecilia has been kicked out from the Morrison family. You won’t get anything from cozying up to her."

Elena and Jas had always been a low-profile couple, and their simple attire had made Sophie assu they were here to bootlick Cecilia.

Mariah waved her hand in disgust at the idea.

"What a poor, sour sll. Get out of here; we will be having dinner with the Mitchell family soon, so you better not dirty their eyes."

Just as she said that, four or five people rushed out of the restaurant toward Elena and Jas.

"Mr. Mitchell, Mrs. Mitchell, everything is ready!"

Their loud voices were enough to clarify things for Sophie and the others.

What did they just hear? Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell?!

Now, it was Sophie’s turn to be shocked.

Elena softly said to Cecilia, "Forget about these people; your great-uncle Jas will handle it. Good girl, let’s go to dinner now."

With that, she led Cecilia away by the hand. Samuel tried to follow behind, but Jas and ten bodyguards blocked his path.

Not long after, loud and piercing screams echoed from behind.

Entering the elevator, Elena looked at Cecilia with a heart full of pity.

She couldn’t imagine how Cecilia managed to survive in the past.

Cecilia felt a bit embarrassed by Elena’s stare and spoke up, "I’m fine."

Realizing she had been looking at her too intensely, Elena quickly changed the subject.

"Oh, I invited soone else over to dine with us today. We could not have reunited without his help. Are you okay with that, dear?"

Cecilia nodded.

When the elevator doors opened, she was t with Steven’s gaze.

Elena exclaid with delight, "That’s him!"

Cecilia smiled politely. She was sowhat surprised it turned out to be him, but it’s not a problem; it was just a al.

Once seated, Elena affably went on about the past, while Jas kept putting food on her plate.

This situation left Cecilia and Steven feeling awkward in their seats.

Halfway through the al, Cecilia realized Emma had not arrived yet and sent a ssage to Butler Edwin. However, the latter replied that he had already brought her over.

Cecilia felt a bit anxious. She was much more vigilant after the last kidnapping incident, but with the Mitchell family’s bodyguards both inside and outside the restaurant, nothing big should happen. Her naughty daughter was probably just playing sowhere nearby.

Either way, she decided to go downstairs and look for Emma.

After letting Elena know, she went down.

On the other hand, Emma had t up with Alex, and the two began drawing out the three kidnappers.

They still had not tracked down the culprit from the last kidnapping incident, so Emma volunteered to beco the portrait artist.

She was absolutely talented in drawing, and with Alex’s descriptions, she quickly drew up a portrait resembling the actual person.

Alex gave her a thumbs-up. "Amazing! What else do you want to eat, Sister? I’ll buy it for you!"

The two were enjoying their cake until Ethan happened to pass by.

Steven was also worried about Alex potentially being in danger again, but he couldn’t leave at the mont. Thus, he sent a ssage asking Ethan to co to the restaurant instead.

Ethan couldn’t refuse and rushed over.

From afar, Ethan spotted Alex and mused to himself.

‘I knew this little rascal couldn’t possibly get lost. As long as he doesn’t sell soone else out, it’s a good day.’

As he went closer, to his surprise, he noticed that the other kid sitting next to Alex looked just like a clone of him!

They were two identical kids.

Rubbing his eyes, Ethan thought he might have been hallucinating from too many late-night gaming sessions.

But when he looked closer, there were indeed two Alexes!

Just as he wanted to co closer to confirm, Steven suddenly called him.

"Have you found Alex?"

Ethan, holding the phone, was excited beyond belief.

"I did, and there are two of him!"

Steven was speechless.

Ethan tried to explain, hoping his older brother would believe him.

"Seriously, I’m not lying!"

Steven replied, "Take so ti to get a head check-up when you can."

He quickly ended the call, deciding he couldn’t rely on Ethan and needed to do things himself.

Fortunately, the al was nearly over.

After Steven hung up, Ethan looked back to where Alex was, only to find no one at the table.

He quietly walked over.

At that mont, Emma and Alex were concealed in the stairwell, conspiring.

They needed a good amount of light for their sketches, and it was important for them to be in a hidden place for this crucial task.

The two had transford into secret agents, whispering about their "wedding plan for mom and dad."

"Sister, what does mom like most?"

"Let think..."

As Emma tilted her head in thought, she suddenly spotted Ethan behind Alex and was startled.

"Uncle Ethan!"

Startled, Alex turned to see Ethan, who was too shocked to speak.

"Two... two Alexes! There really are two Alexes!"
