Grandfather stopped at the village entrance and exchanged a complicated smile with the village chief grandma.
Beside the village chief grandma was the Sli King, mimicking the appearance of a Hero and wearing a small crown.
Next to the Sli King was a little sli with a color like a clear sky, resembling a miniature version of the Hero.

♛:[Healing Sli R5 ]
A highly special and rare variant sli, its body is equivalent to a high-purity healing potion, touching it can heal most injuries and ailnts.
The Healing Sli is almost non-aggressive, even putting your hand into its body won’t make it digest you; instead, it will gently caress you.
But if it gets angry, the healing effect will go berserk, and without resistance, you’ll turn into a swollen lump of at.
The Healing Sli is also considered an embodint of nature’s blessing and holds a sacred status in the cultures of the Elf Clan, Tree-man Clan, and other Subhuman Species.
Despite having little combat ability, the Healing Sli can occasionally be seen resting peacefully atop much stronger Magic Creatures, leisurely patrolling the territory. It seems to be treated as a treasure among them.

Seeing Grandfather, the Little Sli lifted its head, its clear eyes filled with curiosity, and made a childish sound.
"Great-grandfather~ Where are we going? Are we going to find []?"

"No, we are going on a journey with Great-grandfather." The village chief grandma pinched the Little Sli’s hand and smiled.
"I can’t help it, I really can’t feel at ease leaving you here." Grandfather sighed.
Being tailed by Hunting Knowledge for half a lifeti, he thought nothing would faze him except matters concerning his granddaughter.
But at this mont, being called Great-grandfather by a Sli, the old man still felt a bit odd, and could only tighten his expression, putting on a serious look.
"Alright, stop chatting, all get on the carriage."
The Little Sli nodded happily, its soft body hopping into the carriage, then tilted its little head in confusion, looking at the Sli King behind.
"Mom, why aren’t we going to find Hero Mother?"
Plop plop...
The Sli King followed into the carriage, letting out two bubbles from its throat, but didn’t know how to answer.
"She also has her own things to take care of."
The village chief grandma sitting by the side comforted.
Grandfather sitting in the driver’s seat looked forward, listening to the conversation behind him, feeling sowhat helpless inside.
To be honest, he didn’t really want to bring these two slis along, nor did he see them as related to him.
After all, it’s common knowledge that Slis can absorb human fluids and Magic Power to split.
He can’t truly consider a sli as his great-granddaughter just because it can mimic the Hero’s appearance.
It’s actually quite good to let them stay in the forest.
However, not to ntion the rarity and value of the Healing Sli, considering the Hero’s instructions, he truly couldn’t just leave the two slis unattended in the village.
Though the journey might not be entirely safe, at least he would be there to watch over. If real danger arose, he could try using the uncertain Teleportation Scroll his granddaughter left behind.
Thinking of the final destination of this journey, Grandfather finally spoke:
"Although we will take so detours on the way, our final stop this ti is the Capital, by then you should be able to see her."
That granddaughter actually going to study in the Capital, really makes one feel a mix of emotions. Grandfather looked up wistfully, glancing at the sunny blue sky.
"So rember to be obedient on the road and don’t get lost."
"Really—!"
Behind, the Little Sli’s excited response was full of anticipation and joy.
Grandfather also showed a faint smile, lifting his hand to wave the reins.
The Chocobo let out a long cry, stepping strongly, carrying the carriage and rushing towards the world outside the village.
