Chapter 571: Chapter 209: The Book of Adventure (Part 2)
“When everything is about to be overturned, or for the purpose of overturning everything, taking a desperate risk, regardless of the consequences.”
“That—” The young man couldn’t help but speak.
“That’s right, your sister can.”
The man interrupted him, and the straightforward response rendered the young man silent.
“She is a weakling. She was before, and she hasn’t changed now.
“Therefore, she knows when to risk everything to resist, including those properties and so-called prospects you care about.
“Heh, though it’s hard to say whether she actually ‘knows’ as you say, or if it’s simply the only thing she knows how to do.” The father chuckled softly.
Then, he stood up and drained his cup in one go.
The conversation was about to end.
“However, if one day you can understand as well, no matter the reason…”
The man looked down at his pensive son, an indistinct light lingering in his Erald Eye.
“I suppose that will be the day you truly co of age.”

“It’s been almost half a month now.”
In the countryside villa, grandpa sat in the quiet study, gazing out the window at the budding spring leaves, his tone tinged with a bit of emotion.
The Hero had embarked on a journey to the Capital for over half a month now, and the old man who usually lived alone, now found staying alone in this study with no sound of the girl running up and down sowhat unsettling.
However, he wasn’t the type to indulge excessively in lancholy.
Grandpa stood up, deftly locking the doors and windows, then went downstairs. Though not exactly swift, his steps were steady, demonstrating his vigor despite his age.
After securing the main door, he circled to the back of the courtyard. There lay a tidy aviary, housing a gleaming Chocobo with sleek feathers, and parked beside it was a brand-new Bird Carriage.
As the old man approached, the Chocobo stretched its feathers slightly, its black glistening eyes revealing a trace of eagerness, as if inquiring when they would depart.
“There shouldn’t be anything missing now, right.”
Nodding to the Chocobo, grandpa walked to the Bird Carriage, pulled open the carriage door, and inside, the luggage was neatly organized. Just from the arrangent, one could see the owner’s ticulous nature.
As long as the reins were placed on the Chocobo, they could set off at any ti.
Grandpa exhaled a long breath, closed the carriage door. His traditionally serious face showed a hint of hesitation.
Unlike when he was escorted to the Border, this ti the destination was of his own choosing—one could say it was his first genuine journey.
He was about to leave this small village of his own volition and embark on his life’s first adventure in the true sense.
“The route is roughly planned, and the path contains no dangerous areas, just a few places ntioned in the books…”
The old man muttered softly, as if cheering himself on.
He was no longer his youthful self, without that stubbornness and recklessness, so he planned the course to avoid dangerous zones as much as possible.
Even so, for soone of his advancing age, it was still quite a challenge.
If others knew, perhaps they would try to dissuade him, but he had waited too long.
Since that day he watched his first love leave the village, several decades had quietly slipped by.
He had thought he would stay on this small land all his life, repeating an unchanging daily routine, decaying amidst old docunts.
But now, he finally mustered the courage to take this step.
Even though this departure was decades late, he still wanted to see it through.
“Alright, get ready, we’re about to set off.”
The old man walked next to the Chocobo, gently patting its neck. The large bird shook its feathers excitedly, imdiately responding with a loud call.
Grandpa placed the reins on the Chocobo, leading it to the Bird Carriage, skillfully fastening the securing Device.
He had practiced many tis; just from observing the actions, no one could tell it was the old man’s first journey.

“However…”
Sitting in the driver’s seat, before urging the Chocobo to slowly walk out of the courtyard, grandpa hesitated for a mont, reached into his coat, and took out the scroll the Hero left him before leaving.
“Teleportation Scroll, and the cabin in the forest with the Array inscribed, huh.”
Recalling the scene last week when he visited there, the old man couldn’t help but show a wry smile.
As long as he used the cabin, it could be summoned anyti, and the scroll for ergencies.
The Hero’s considerations were very thorough.
“He really knows how to give a hard ti. I was thinking of starting off alone…”
He gently shook his head, put the scroll back in place, and cast his gaze on the broad country path ahead.
“Just hoping that Array is indeed functional. With my Magic Power, it’s barely operable.”
After murmuring to himself, the old man flicked the reins, and the Chocobo began to run, heading towards the Agreent point.
Soon, the village entrance was already in sight, and there, three figures had been quietly waiting for a long ti.
Watching the approaching Chocobo Cart from afar, the village chief grandma waved with a Soft smile.
Originally, they could have just t at grandpa’s house and then set off, but considering there were two special companions, to avoid unsettling the villagers, the village chief grandma intentionally chose to wait with them at a slightly distant place.
“After all, taking them on a trip… if sothing goes wrong, I can’t handle it.”
