Chapter 415: D153. The Sorrows of War_2

“Just as you feared, the Hero’s condition is indeed not very optimistic.”

Hunting Knowledge circled around the Gleaming Scale Serpent and the Hero in its arms, flipping through pages and replaying the footage they had just recorded.

In the playback, the Hero, transford into a golden-red Phoenix, stood defiantly before the Devouring Curse Demon, its proud posture seemingly sizing up a al about to be devoured.

However, this action greatly aggravated the Devouring Curse Demon, and under a desperate desire to survive, the Demon Scorpion explosively unleashed terrifying Magic Power. The overwhelming Curse Strength, like a tsunami, ruthlessly slamd towards the Phoenix, inches away.

The dark, chaotic wave instantly engulfed the Hero, and even the distant Hunting Knowledge and Gleaming Scale Serpent were affected, forced to deploy their respective divine abilities to resist the invisible curse impact.

Logically, with the Perception and Agility of the Phoenix, it should not be completely unresponsive to this sudden burst. However, in the slow-motion replay, several Magic Creatures could capture a detail: a mont before the Devouring Curse Demon’s Counterattack, a touch of bewildernt flashed across the Phoenix eyes of the Hero, as if it had lost consciousness for an instant, dropping all defenses.

Therefore, the Curse unleashed by the Devouring Curse Demon hit the Phoenix head-on without hindrance, and the golden-red feathers were rapidly stained a blood-red, as if the Fiery Flas had been tainted with blood.

And up until that mont, the confusion in her eyes had not dissipated.

Clearly not intending to miss this opportunity, the Devouring Curse Demon, disregarding its own injuries, eagerly opened thousands of Demon Eyes. Nurous invisible Spiritual Spears and Scorpion Tails struck out together, forming a Dark Torrent that hamred down on the Phoenix relentlessly.

Even a genuine Phoenix might not fare well under such an attack.

But as Magic Power was rapidly consud, the shattered parts of the Hero’s Phoenix Transformation swiftly healed, and the next mont, those previously bewildered Phoenix Eyes turned cold, as if switching on a light, shining with a brutal and fierce gleam.

Then, the blood-red Phoenix suddenly flapped its wings and flew head-on, with destructive Fiery Flas, crashing into the Devouring Curse Demon like a teor.

The Devouring Curse Demon, having just been laughing wildly, didn’t even have the chance to scream before it was directly blasted into ash, along with the half of the Divine Throne behind it that lood high above. In the explosion, they were shattered into pieces and sunk into the ground, forming a huge, charred crater.

Imdiately after, waves of Fire, using the curse as fuel, spread continuously, forming the present Fire Sea.

“According to my analysis, and the records in relevant literature, the Hero is likely to have been spiritually cursed, perhaps even deeply into the soul. In the worst case, upon waking up, whether she is still her original self is an issue worthy of consideration and caution.”

“What should we do!?” Hearing Hunting Knowledge’s analysis, Gleaming Scale Serpent’s expression could not hide its panic.

“Curses that can twist personality and soul are very rare. Normally, it requires complete Isolation and observation, coupled with multiple purifying procedures, to ensure the cursed person’s personality remains unaffected.

“Even so, there remains the risk of oversight, leading to tragedy, hence there are those who take a radical approach and choose to ‘Purify’ the cursed individual themselves… although by doing so, they may risk being cursed themselves.”

Gleaming Scales Serpent’s eyes narrowed, but after learning from Experience, it no longer dwelled on Hunting Knowledge’s unsettling phrasing, decisively extracting the critical information.

“Isolation and Purification, I understand. We leave imdiately, Hunting Knowledge, notify the one of your kind at Count Mansion, we’ll teleport back directly! And then imdiately go find the Church—”

“Freak! I won’t lose!”

The next mont, accompanied by an angry shout, a fist ca crashing down hard on the chin of the Gleaming Scale Serpent from above.

“Sorry! Are you alright?”

Realizing she had hit the wrong person, the Hero hurriedly jumped out of the Gleaming Scale Serpent’s embrace, a look of pain on her face as she saw the mature man clutching his mouth.

In the last monts of fading consciousness, she was still trying to break free from the suppression of another self; so the mont she awoke and felt her limbs could move freely, she swung a punch without thinking.

Even though she realized sothing was wrong at the last mont and held back her Strength, the punch that had already been swung inevitably landed on the Gleaming Scale Serpent’s chin.

“I’ll heal you, co on, open your mouth wider.” The Hero approached with a look of concern.

Her glasses were skewed from her own punch… it felt like she had hit her own father’s face, and it was truly inappropriate.

“I’m, I’m fine, more importantly, Your Majesty, I’m glad you’re safe…”

Gleaming Scale Serpent mumbled in response, still covering his mouth. Although the Hero hadn’t enacted Sacrifice, eating this unexpected punch made him bite his own tongue by accident.

Now he was relieved that his current human form was just for show, as such an injury wouldn’t affect anything, otherwise he would really have to let Her Majesty waste her precious Magic Power… to treat his tongue.
