Vivian hurriedly stood in front of him,

"No brother you can’t..."

But before she could finish her words, Qiao Jun coughed up blood and fainted. The vibrant red color of the blood reflected in Vivian’s eyes making her retreat in fear.

Even Aunt Mila was stunned. However as an experienced person, she regained her composure and ordered a servant nearby,

"Bring young master Qiao to the guest room, clean the area, and brew magpie’s nest soup. No one is allowed to see him without my permission."

The servant followed Aunt Mila’s order and brought Qiao Jun to the guest room. Vivian who was shaking with fear, turned to Aunt Mila and asked,

"Mother, what is happening? Didn’t you tell you won’t harm Brother Jun? So why is he coughing blood? Mother, he is my future husband you can’t harm him!"

Aunt Mila raised her hand and motioned her daughter to stay silent as she looked at the blood thoughtfully.

"Nothing is wrong. His body is resisting the hypnosis since he can’t see you more than a sister. It is also a prove that he is truly under my hypnosis."

Relieve appeared in Aunt Mila’s eyes as she stood up and walked up to the guest room,

"This silly boy. Why is he still resisting even though his fate is already sealed? See...now he had hard his body! God! I will brew so body-strengthening soup and ask my sister-in-law to do the sa."

Vivian stared at her mother with a weird expression. Sotis she kept on feeling as if her mother wasn’t concerned about Qiao Jun but about his body.

How strange.

Is she worried that Qiao Jun won’t be in good condition after marriage and have trouble making babies?

Ah! Her mother is truly...too much!

Vivian blushed. She wanted to tell her mother that Qiao Jun would perform exceptionally well considering his figure but she couldn’t, seeing her mother’s serious face.

Aunt Mila is unaware of the nonsensical thought flashing in her daughter’s mind and starts to care for Qiao Jun.

She wouldn’t shed tears if Qiao Jun died, after all, she deserved to be the one controlling his life. She saved his life, so it was only natural for him to pay it back to her.

Yet, the realization that if Qiao Jun died, the process of soul transferring could beco difficult, made Aunt Mila retract those thoughts.

When Qiao Jun woke up again it was midnight. Ignoring his aunt’s insistence, he left the villa. Aunt Mila didn’t force Qiao Jun to stay either.

The truth was she was fearful. If Qiao Jun resisted the hypnosis, his body would be in chaos, which was indirectly unbeneficial for her.

So even though she was itching to speed up the process, Aunt Mila held back the impulse.

At hotel.

Yu Holea watched as the trending topic changed once she uploaded the video. A smirk appeared on her face as she enjoyed the show.

Just then soone knocked on the door causing Yu Holea to put down the phone.

On opening the door she found a staff with a letter.

"Miss Yu Holea?"

"Yes?"

The staff passed the letter to Yu Holea and inford her,

"This letter was asked to be delivered to you by a gentleman with blue eyes. He also ntioned that the sender’s na is written at the end of the letter."

Yu Holea was puzzled by such strange assurance but she nodded her head and thanked the staff.

After closing the door, Yu Holea opened the letter with curiosity.

’Dear Holea,

From the day I t you, my heart skipped a beat. The day when I got to know that you have feelings for , I was over the moon, and the day we got engaged, I felt as if I had won the world. But I was stupid. I made wrong decisions and made you hurt. I know you were hurt when I agreed to let Rong Xue date you. I know I hurt you when I asked about breaking off the engagent again and again and I know I hurt you when I didn’t recognize you after waking up from a coma. You dedicated your entire ti to taking care of and my business and always remained by my side, yet I didn’t thank you properly. So thank you. Thank you for being an understanding person and supporting . Thank you for waiting for . Thank you for not running away. Thank you for ignoring my harsh words. And sorry. For all the things I have done that hurt you. I am sorry for making you suffer. I am sorry that I couldn’t give you a hug when you needed the most. I am sorry for making you feel insecure. If I could I will go back in ti and never repeat these mistakes. I don’t need you to forgive , but please give a chance to redeem myself.

-Your Admirer.’

Yu Holea’s eyes turned red.

She was upset? Of course, but her heart lted when she saw how Qiao Jun apologized for everything that made her feel hurt.

Half of her anger evaporated in the air, yet she didn’t completely forgive him.

She was hurt. And won’t be together with Qiao Jun until and unless she has forgiven him completely.

A relationship can never work out if one of the partners holds grudges against his or her partner.

She didn’t know when she would forgive Qiao Jun, but...she knew it wasn’t for now.

As for whether Qiao Jun stopped caring for her if she remained angry for a long ti? Well, then he can find soone else.

A proper apology is the least she expects. She may be vain but she would only continue with a relationship when she was healthy, with not just her body but also her mind.

Yu Holea carefully refolded the letter, placing it gently on her bedside table.

Her mood had improved by leaps and bounds. She was waiting...waiting what more tricks Qiao Jun had.

At a small restaurant.

Rong Xue kept on glancing at his watch and phone. In between his eyes would dart to the door of the restaurant, hoping for Yu Holea’s arrival but to his dismay no one appeared even after 2 hours.

Feeling impatient, Rong Xue picked up his phone and called Qiao Jun, who answered his phone call at the last ring.

"Jun where is Holea?"

Qiao Jun’s slightly weak voice sounded,

"Holea? Oh... she’s not coming."

Rong Xue froze, his grip tightening on his phone. "What? But you said—"

Qiao Jun sighed, letting his voice drop a bit as he interrupted Rong Xue’s frustrated questioning.

"Holea did agree to et you, but she ssaged an hour ago saying her health had taken a turn for the worse and that she wouldn’t be able to make it," he explained.

Rong Xue’s brow creased, his tone hardening with frustration. "How could you forget to tell sothing so important, Jun?"

Qiao Jun kept his voice steady, sounding mildly apologetic but not too invested.

"I fainted about two hours ago, Rong Xue," he replied slowly as if explaining sothing obvious. "I only just ca to."

The revelation made Rong Xue pause, stunned before he blurted out,

"What? What do you an you fainted?"

Qiao Jun continued in a faint voice, filling Rong Xue in on the rough details of the incident at Aunt Mila’s. When he was done, there was a brief silence on the other end.

"Still," Rong Xue muttered finally, irritation barely masked. "You could’ve tried to let know first."

Qiao Jun allowed a small hint of disbelief to creep into his voice.

"So, Rong Xue, you’re upset about Holea not showing up... but my health isn’t a concern to you?"

His voice sharpened, carrying an edge of disappointnt. "I’d think my best friend would care a little more than that."

A flicker of panic crossed Rong Xue’s face as he realized his impatience had slipped out.

If he kept pushing, he risked letting the mask of "best friend" slip, making Qiao Jun suspicious. Swiftly, Rong Xue switched gears.

"Oh no, no, Jun, of course I care!" he said, his tone suddenly softening, trying to inject genuine concern into his voice.

"You fainting? That’s... that’s serious. You should take it easy; all this stress is getting to you."

Qiao Jun didn’t miss the quick shift in tone, but he simply gave a tired nod, feigning acceptance of Rong Xue’s concern.

"Thanks for the support. I suppose I’ve just been carrying too much weight lately."

Rong Xue quickly agreed, eager to move on.

"Absolutely. Just... rest up, alright? And let know if there’s anything you need," he added, his voice laced with feigned sincerity.

Qiao Jun rolled his eyes but said in a touched voice,

"Rong Xue you are truly my best friend."

After Rong Xue hung he was irritated and for a few seconds he doubted whether Qiao Jun had regained his mories or not, but then he shook his head.
