Mrs. Zhao’s eyes widened in shock.

"You... heard everything?" she asked.

Yu Holea nodded.

"Yes, I have heightened senses that allow to pick up on conversations and energies around . It’s part of what makes effective in my work."

Mr. Zhao took a step closer, his expression a blend of curiosity and hope.

"Then you must have also sensed the energy in this place?"

"I did," Yu Holea confird.

"The malevolent presence here is strong. It’s essential we address it directly and swiftly."

Mrs. Zhao still looked uncertain, but Mr. Zhao’s face was resolute.

"Very well. What do you need from us?"

Yu Holea appreciated their willingness to cooperate.

"First, I need to see Junjie. His condition will help determine the best course of action.

Then, I’ll need to identify any objects in the ho that might be acting as conduits for this malevolent energy."

"Now, Please lead the way to Junjie’s room," Yu Holea requested gently.

Mrs. Zhao, clutching her husband’s hand, nodded and began to guide Yu Holea down a long, dimly lit corridor.

The atmosphere grew heavier with each step, the air thick with an almost palpable sense of dread.

The walls seed to close in, and a cold draft sent chills down their spines.

Shadows danced eerily along the walls, and the faint sound of whispering filled the silence, as if unseen entities were communicating in hushed tones.

As they approached Junjie’s room, Yu Holea could feel a surge of malevolent energy radiating from behind the door.

It was as if the darkness itself was alive, pulsing and shifting with an insidious intent.

Mrs. Zhao hesitated at the door, her hand trembling as she reached for the handle.

"I... I don’t know what to expect," she admitted, her voice quivering with fear.

"Stay calm," Yu Holea reassured her. "I’m here to help. Whatever happens, stay behind and trust in the process."

Mrs. Zhao nodded, though her eyes were filled with uncertainty.

She pushed the door open slowly, and the hinges creaked loudly, the sound echoing ominously in the hallway.

Inside, the room was dimly lit by a single flickering lamp on the bedside table.

The atmosphere was oppressive as if the very air was being sucked out of the room.

A heavy sense of foreboding hung in the air, making it difficult to breathe.

In the center of the room, on a large, ornate bed, lay Junjie.

His body was twisted at an unnatural angle, his limbs contorted in ways that seed physically impossible.

His face was pale and gaunt, with dark circles under his wide, bloodshot eyes.

A disturbing smile stretched across his lips, and he giggled softly, the sound high-pitched and unnerving.

Yu Holea’s gaze shifted to the far corner of the room, where she felt the strongest concentration of negative energy.

As she turned on the light, the darkness retreated slightly, revealing the source of the malevolence.

There, crouched in the corner, was a shadowy figure, its eyes gleaming with an unnatural blackness.

Junjie noticed Yu Holea’s gaze and slowly turned his head to look at her, his eyes going completely black.

The sight sent a jolt of fear through Mrs. Zhao and Mr. Zhao, who clutched each other tightly.

"Junjie," Mrs. Zhao whispered, her voice choked with emotion. "My poor boy..."

Mr. Zhao’s face was set in a grim mask of determination, but his eyes betrayed his fear and worry. He had never seen anything like this, and the sight of his son in such a state tore at his heart.

Yu Holea, however, remained completely calm. She took a step forward, her presence steady and reassuring.

"Junjie," she called out softly, her voice filled with a soothing, authoritative tone.

"I am here to help you. You must fight against the darkness."

Junjie’s giggles grew louder, more frenzied as if the spirit within him was mocking her.

He suddenly began to move, his body twisting and contorting even more grotesquely.

Before Yu Holea could reach him, he started to crawl up the walls with an unnatural agility, his fingers digging into the plaster as if it were made of clay.

Mrs. Zhao gasped, her hands flying to her mouth in horror. "What is he doing? How is this possible?

No! Junjie! Don’t! You will be injured! Please! Please stop."

Mrs. Zhao started to panic and tears started to stream down her cheeks.

Mr. Zhao was horrified too.

To see their own son in such a horrifying state was definitely not an experience parents want.

Yu Holea’s eyes never left Junjie as he scuttled up the walls, his movents spider-like and inhuman.

She reached into her bag and pulled out a small vial of blessed water, along with a handful of protective talismans.

"Who are you?"

Junjie giggled creepily instead of answering Yu Holea.

Yu Holea understood that the ghost possessing Junjie wouldn’t let him answer, so she took out the exorcism talisman.

As Yu Holea prepared to flick the exorcism talisman towards Junjie, the boy’s body stiffened and the spirit within him let out a guttural snarl.

"Stop!" the ghost’s voice roared through Junjie.

"If you harm , the boy will suffer."

Mrs. Zhao’s sobs grew louder, her hands clutching at her husband’s arm.

"Please, no," she cried. "Don’t hurt him."

Mr. Zhao pulled her closer, his own face pale and strained.

"We have to trust Celestial Master Yu," he whispered, though his voice trembled with uncertainty.

Yu Holea held the talisman firmly, her gaze never wavering.

"You have no power here," she said, her voice calm yet commanding. "Release the boy, or I will cast you out."

The spirit laughed, a chilling sound that echoed through the room.

"You are brave, Celestial Master. But this boy belongs to . His soul is my sustenance."

Junjie’s body twitched and convulsed, his eyes rolling back as the spirit tried to assert its control. Yu Holea knew she had to act quickly.

The longer the spirit remained, the more damage it would do to Junjie’s fragile body and mind.

Yu Holea flicked the talisman, but before her talisman could even be activated the ghost left Junjie’s body and escaped through the window.

As if the talisman had its own eyes, it followed behind the ghost.

On the other hand, Junjie’s body suddenly started to fall down.

"Junjie!" Mrs. Zhao shouted with horror in her eyes.

"No!" Mr. Zhao’s soul almost left his body for a mont.

Yu Holea reacted swiftly as Junjie’s body began to plumt.

With a graceful motion of her hand, she summoned her mystic energy, creating an ethereal cushion that gently cradled the boy and guided him safely back onto the bed.

The soft, shimring glow of the energy contrasted starkly with the oppressive darkness that had filled the room just monts before.

Mrs. Zhao and Mr. Zhao stood frozen in shock, their eyes wide with disbelief.

They had never seen anything like this—a person wielding such power with calm precision.

The very air seed to hum with the residual energy of Yu Holea’s intervention.

Mrs. Zhao was the first to find her voice. "How... how did you do that?" she whispered

Mr. Zhao, equally stunned, could only nod in agreent. His grip tightened on his wife’s hand as if to reassure himself that this was indeed real.

Yu Holea didn’t imdiately respond. Instead, she moved with focused determination to

Junjie’s side, her fingers gently pressing against his neck to check his pulse. The rhythmic thumping was faint but steady, a good sign given the circumstances.

Satisfied, Yu Holea turned her attention back to the anxious parents.

"He’s alive," she reassured them. "His pulse is weak, but it’s there."

Mrs. Zhao, eyes brimming with tears, took a tentative step forward.

"Is he... is he going to be okay?"

Yu Holea nodded, her expression calm and composed.

"He’s in a temporary comatose state due to severe malnutrition and exhaustion. His body has been through an ordeal, and he needs ti to recover."

"Malnutrition?" Mr. Zhao echoed, his brow furrowing with concern.

"But we’ve tried everything to get him to eat. Nothing seed to help."

"His condition was exacerbated by the malevolent spirit’s influence," Yu Holea explained.

"Spirits like the one that possessed Junjie feed on the life force of their hosts, draining them of their vitality. It’s no wonder he’s so weak."

Mrs. Zhao clasped her hands together, worry etched deep into her features.

"Is there anything we can do to help him recover?"

"First, he needs nourishnt," Yu Holea said.

"I have so knowledge of dicinal herbs and treatnts that can help restore his strength. I’ll prepare a tonic that should aid in his recovery."

Mrs. Zhao looked at Yu Holea with renewed hope.

"You know dicine as well?"

ƒreewebɳovel

Yu Holea nodded,

"I know a bit."

Mrs. Zhao couldn’t believe Yu Holea.

Just the fact that she could exorcise was more than enough to shock anyone. But now she was saying that she knew dicine too...it was too hard for her to believe it.
