Yu i’s heart pounded in her chest, but she forced herself to remain calm. "Yes, my lord. I am prepared."
The voice humd thoughtfully as if considering her words. After what felt like an eternity, it finally spoke again.
"Very well, I shall lend you the powers you desire. But rember, these powers are only borrowed.
If you fail to deliver the five lives you promised, I will not only reclaim the powers but also take your life as compensation. Also, your soul will be mine."
Yu i trembled with fear.
