"Since you don't know him, why did you help him and ask to spare him?" Connor furrowed his brows and asked.
"You may not know this, but Soloman's master is one of the Land Deities' protectors, ranking just below the elder immortals. If you were to kill him today, they would never let you go. Our top priority now is to find a way to rescue your master, so I asked you to spare him. This way, we won't completely enrage the Land Deities," Zidane explained calmly.
"I see," Connor nodded, understanding that his actions were correct.
Soloman, unlike Colton and Yago, had a lower status among the Land Deities, and even if Connor killed him, it wouldn't have a significant impact. However, if he killed Soloman, the Land Deities would go to great lengths to seek revenge, potentially jeopardizing his mission to rescue Jorge.
"Although your master still has so vitality left, his aura is extrely weak. So, we must act quickly to break the formation and save him," Zidane said, looking at Connor.
"How should we break this formation?" Connor asked hastily.
"Since you don't understand the art of formations, you wouldn't know how to break it. Fortunately, I learned so formation techniques from my master. This formation isn't too difficult, but it requires a substantial amount of energy to break," Zidane explained. "Now, you have two choices."
"What are the two choices?" Connor inquired.
"You can follow into the formation to provide with energy while I break it, or you can lend your Celestial Artifact, and I'll enter alone to break the formation," Zidane paused for a mont, then continued, "This formation is very dangerous, so if you enter, there may be risks."
"I'll go with you. The Profound Bead was a gift from soone else, and I don't know how to take it out at the mont," Connor replied calmly.
In truth, he still had so reservations and mistrust towards Zidane, so he wasn't willing to easily give him the Profound Bead.
"Alright." Zidane nodded in agreent.
"When do we start?" Connor asked while examining the formation.
Zidane glanced at him, then took out a pill from his clothing and handed it to Connor. He whispered, "You have injuries on your body. Let's heal those first."
Connor hesitated for a mont before accepting the pill. He seed unsure whether to consu it or not.
"Don't worry; it's not poison. If I wanted to kill you, I would have done it already, and I wouldn't be talking to you like this," Zidane said softly.
Taking a deep breath, Connor placed the pill in his mouth and felt a mysterious energy entering his body. His wounds visibly began to heal at an astonishing rate.
"This pill is truly remarkable," he said in amazent as he observed his wounds rapidly healing.
"This is a top-grade pill. If it weren't for needing your help to break the formation, I wouldn't have given it to you for free," Zidane replied calmly. Then, he stepped into the formation without hesitation.
In less than half a minute, all of Connor's wounds had completely healed.
Taking a deep breath, he followed Zidane into the formation.
Upon entering the formation, Connor could sense the formation reacting. Countless black mists rushed towards him, but he quickly used his energy to protect himself.
"Although this formation is a maze, once soone enters, it's incredibly challenging to leave. Furthermore, it's a killing formation, and even a Celestial Rank Ancient Martial Grandmaster can die within it with a slight misstep," Zidane said, turning to Connor as he explained.
"I understand," Connor nodded.
"This formation has a total of nine layers. I've already broken the first layer. Now, you just need to follow and provide with energy as we proceed," Zidane said.
"I understand," Connor agreed.
After breaking the second layer of the formation, Zidane stopped and turned to Connor, saying, "I spent a full seven days breaking this layer, but due to the lack of energy, I couldn't completely break it. Now, you just need to follow behind and provide energy."
"I understand," Connor replied.
The two continued to work together, with Connor providing energy while Zidane used his knowledge to decipher the formation. Three days passed as they advanced through the layers of the formation.
Once they broke the eighth layer of the formation, Connor found himself in a vast open space with various flowers, plants, and trees, creating a beautiful scene, as if it were a painting.
