Uncle Cardenas thought about it for a long ti. In the end, he could only think of this reason. Otherwise, it would not make sense.
The group walked in the forest for almost seven hours. Wilda and the others finally couldn't hold on any longer and wanted to rest for a while.
Everyone set up their tents and took out the food they had prepared in advance.
Uncle Cardenas wanted to ask Connor and Yolanda to join them, but Wilda recalled Connor's attitude before entering the mountain and stopped Uncle Cardenas. At this mont, Wilda wanted to see how Connor was going to persist in finding the Eight Trigrams Valley.

Yolanda hesitated for a mont before leaving with Connor.

At this mont, a guard walked up to Wilda and whispered to her.

Wilda nodded and then started eating with everyone.

Connor cleaned up the pheasant and then put it on the fire to roast it.
Yolanda followed Connor with anticipation.
"I didn't expect you to know how to roast pheasants!"
Yolanda said with a smile.
"I used to work in a restaurant, so I learned so barbecue techniques from a chef. However, the ingredients are limited now, so it might not taste that good."
Connor whispered to Yolanda.
"You worked in a restaurant?"
Yolanda was stunned when she heard Connor's words. She was very surprised because she could not imagine why a person like Connor would work in a restaurant.
"I used to work a lot!"
Connor replied indifferently.
A few minutes later, the pheasant was almost ready. Connor handed it to Yolanda.
Yolanda, on the other hand, started eating happily.
Everyone looked at the pheasant in Yolanda's hand with envy. After all, they were eating canned food. It could not compare to the steaming hot pheasant in Yolanda's hand.
"Why is this person so lucky? How did he catch pheasants so quickly?"
Wilda asked with a puzzled look.

Uncle Cardenas said lightly.

Wilda asked Uncle Cardenas softly after hesitating for a mont.
Uncle Cardenas told Wilda that Connor might be hiding so treasure.

"Miss, these two people might have other motives for going with us!"
Uncle Cardenas reminded in a low voice.

Uncle Cardenas sighed softly. He felt that it would not be easy for him to kill Connor and Yolanda.
After eating, everyone walked into the forest again.

Yolanda didn't have a big appetite, so she only ate one al a day.
