Zaki lifted his head and glanced at Connor, struggling as if trying to stand up. However, he found himself completely powerless, just like Connor had been monts ago. The difference was that Connor had the pendant to help him recover, whereas Zaki's Five Elents Dagger didn't possess that capability.

He looked at Connor with a despairing expression on his face and said through gritted teeth, "I never thought I'd lose to soone like you today."

"You're not satisfied?" Connor replied indifferently.

"Of course, I'm not satisfied! If it weren't for your pendant, you'd be dead by my hands right now!" Zaki said agitatedly.

Connor couldn't help but chuckle upon hearing his words and said calmly, "Even without the pendant, if you didn't have that Five Elents Dagger, you wouldn't be my match."

Zaki remained silent upon hearing this.

"You've been an assassin for many years, right? So, if I kill you today, it's like removing a threat to the public," Connor said softly.

Zaki, upon hearing Connor's words, suddenly looked at him and asked in a low voice, "You actually plan to kill ?"

"If you ca here today to kill , then there's no reason for to spare you," he replied calmly.

Zaki took a deep breath and said through gritted teeth, "Connor, if you spare my life today, I'm willing to agree to any request you have!"

Zaki was, after all, just an assassin. He had taken the mission to assassinate Connor for the money. If it ant risking his life, he wouldn't go through with it.

"No matter what request I have?"

Upon hearing Zaki's words, he couldn't help but sneer and said calmly, "I have no requests. Besides, there's nothing you can do for . If I spare you today, it would be like releasing a tiger back into the wild. So today, you're undoubtedly going to die."

"You..." Zaki was montarily stunned.

"I don't have ti to talk to you anymore!" Connor didn't want to continue conversing with Zaki. He bent down and picked up a dagger from the ground.

"Splurt!"

With a light wave of Connor's right hand, the Five Elents Dagger pierced through Zaki's heart.

After jerking a couple of tis, Zaki's body lost its vitality.

Facing soone like Zaki, Connor couldn't afford to be rciful. If he spared him today, there was a risk that Zaki would co after him again, and Connor didn't want to leave such a big threat behind.

Cielo and Aida, sitting in the car, witnessed Connor killing Zaki.

His face showed imnse shock. He had never expected Connor to be so ruthless as to kill Zaki.

Aida's expression remained calm. After all, Connor's survival was more advantageous to her.

"Cielo, you never expected this outco today, did you?" She turned to look at him and asked softly.

Instantly, he turned to look at Aida and replied through gritted teeth, "Aida, don't be too happy too soon. It's just one Zaki who died today. Connor was lucky today, but the real show is yet to co!"

Even though Zaki's loss had surprised him, he could accept it. After all, Zaki was just an assassin, and if he couldn't kill Connor, he could always find a more powerful assassin to do the job later. So, Cielo didn't show extre despair at this point.

Aida didn't say anything but rely looked at Cielo. Their relationship had been clearly defined, and the competition for the position of Chen Family Patriarch was now based on their abilities.

"This Zaki was a useless choice. He failed to kill you on the plane, and now he's been killed by this Connor. I should never have hired him in the first place!" Cielo muttered to himself with frustration.

Just as he was about to start the car and leave, a figure suddenly appeared in front of the vehicle.

Cielo was startled by this unexpected presence and instinctively hit the brakes.

Aida looked up and saw Connor standing in front of the car.

Cielo's face displayed nervousness upon seeing him blocking the car because he knew exactly what Connor intended to do in this situation.

Taking a deep breath, Cielo pressed the accelerator.

"Vroom!"

The car's engine roared loudly as it charged toward Connor.

Although he knew that it was impossible to kill Connor with the car, he had no other choice. If he got out of the car, his fate would likely be the sa as Zaki's.

"Bang!"

However, just as the car was about to collide with Connor, he extended his right hand and pressed it against the car's hood.

"Vroom vroom vroom..."

He seed to be driving madly, but no matter how hard he pressed on the accelerator, the car remained stationary.

After a few seconds and an exasperated shout from Cielo, the car's engine finally died down.

Connor walked calmly to the car window, smashed it with a punch, and opened the car door.

"Con... Connor, what... what are you doing?" Cielo stamred, his face filled with fear. He hadn't expected Connor to find him.

Aida remained silent as she watched the unfolding scene. Their relationship had been defined, and now it was a matter of individual competence in the competition for the position of the Collier Family patriarch.

Connor walked slowly to the car window, then shattered the glass with a punch, his expression devoid of emotion as he opened the car door.

"Con... Connor, what... what are you doing?" Cielo stamred, his face filled with fear.

"This assassin was hired by you, wasn't he?" Connor asked Cielo softly.

Cielo looked at him in silence, knowing that admitting or denying it was aningless at this point.

"Since you hired an assassin to kill , I might as well take care of you both today," Connor said as he reached out and pulled Cielo out of the car.

Cielo, now completely terrified, had beco limp as he was pulled out of the car. Fear was evident on his face, as he had never anticipated that Connor would discover his involvent.
