"Rest assured, this ti you've helped so much, I won't go back on my word!" Aida replied to Connor with exceptional seriousness. Then she turned and left the room.
After Aida left, Connor took out his phone and made a call to Queta, asking her to book a flight ticket from York to Yarlford imdiately.
After all, this ti Connor had outwitted everyone in the Collier family family, so he didn't want to linger in York. Returning to Yarlford imdiately was the best choice.
Queta quickly arranged for a private jet since it was already quite late, and there were no suitable comrcial flights. The private jet was scheduled to depart at 2 AM.
He didn't mind spending so money on chartering the plane, considering the substantial amount he had swindled from the Collier family family. So, he went ahead with the arrangent without hesitation.

On the other side, the Collier family mbers gathered anxiously in the villa after learning that Connor had released Aida.
However, none of them were genuinely anxious; they were rely putting on a facade.
Shereen and Cielo were also quite nervous at the mont. After all, Shereen had already transferred the money to Connor. If Aida didn't return alive tonight, it ant that Connor hadn't kept his word.
But if she did return, all the money Shereen had paid would be in vain.
So, they were all waiting for an outco.
At 11 o'clock in the evening...
They had been waiting at the Collier family's villa for more than an hour. Albert had been sitting on the sofa the whole ti, with no expression on his face.
The other mbers of the Collier family seed a bit impatient.
"Big brother, do you think Connor tricked us? It's been over an hour, why hasn't Aida returned yet?"
"Yeah, did Connor really release her?"
"I think he must be playing with us!"
Everyone shouted at Albert.
Albert's expression seed sowhat strange, and he couldn't guarantee that Connor would actually keep his promise to release Aida.
On the other hand, Shereen's expression had relaxed a bit. She thought he might have already killed Aida.
"Don't worry, if Connor dares to play with our Collier family, I will personally take action. Even if I have to face retaliation from Jorge, I will never let Connor off!" Albert suddenly said.
Previously, he had been unable to personally deal with Connor because he was afraid that if he killed Connor, Jorge would seek revenge. He knew he was no match for Jorge. But if Connor dared to mock the Collier family like this, Albert would teach him a lesson.
Upon hearing Albert's words, Shereen not only felt no worries but was rather delighted. If Connor had truly killed Aida, then he would deal with Connor, and she would be rid of her major concerns. Her son could also beco the heir of the Collier family.
While she was secretly rejoicing, a young man suddenly rushed into the villa.
"Sir, Aida is back..." The young man excitedly shouted.
Upon hearing this, Shereen was stunned.
"Where is she?" Albert abruptly stood up and asked in a low voice.
"She has already been taken to our Collier family's dical room. Aida is injured, and it seems quite serious. She's currently unconscious..." The young man hurriedly explained.
"Let's go see her!" Albert imdiately headed toward the dical room outside, and the other Collier family mbers followed suit.
Only Shereen and Cielo remained in place, their faces showing a grim expression.
"Mom, what's going on? Didn't you say Connor would definitely kill Aida?" Cielo asked his mother with a furrowed brow.
"Connor played us!" Shereen replied through gritted teeth and continued, "Let's first check if Aida is really alive..."
"All right!" Cielo agreed and then rushed toward the dical room.
A few minutes later, everyone had arrived at the Collier family's dical room.
At this mont, she was completely unconscious, covered in injuries that seed quite severe.
Seeing this scene, Albert was convinced that Connor had indeed kidnapped her.
However, he might not be aware that Aida's injuries were all self-inflicted. Aida, being the ruthless woman she was, believed that if she returned to the Collier family in good health, they would be suspicious, especially since she had looked so pitiful in the video. Therefore, she had spent money to hire ten holess n to beat her severely before taking a taxi back to the Collier family.
Shereen, watching the unconscious Aida, was filled with anger. She returned to her room, took out her phone, and dialed Connor's number.
"Ring ring..."
After two rings, he answered the phone.
"Connor, what are you up to? Why isn't Aida dead yet?" Shereen asked almost through clenched teeth.
"Isn't she dead?" He chuckled and continued, "Oh, I forgot to tell you, I really intended to kill Aida, but she offered five billion, so I changed my mind and let her go..."
"But you've already taken my money..." she said in a sowhat desperate tone.
"Yes, I took your money, but your offer was less than what Aida offered. That's just how I am. I listen to whoever pays more..." he laughed.
She took a deep breath and then said in a low voice, "Okay, since you didn't kill Aida, shouldn't you return my money?"
"Do you think that's possible?" he asked.
"What do you an?" She was bewildered.
"No special aning. Since I already have the money, there's no reason to give it back. I won't say more. We'll et again if fate allows it!" he replied casually and then hung up the phone.
"Ah..." She shouted in frustration, throwing her phone to the ground, shattering it.
"Mom, what's going on?" Cielo walked in at that mont, looking puzzled.
"I will kill Connor for playing with !" she said sowhat hysterically."
