There were many people in the hotel, and it was very easy for the Collie family to find out, so Rachel Wallace found a small area for Connor.
There weren't many people in this neighborhood, and the environnt was also very good. Most importantly, there was very little security in this neighborhood. No one could monitor them at all.
Connor's plan was to settle Aida in this place first, and then he would communicate with Albert about rescuing her.
On the other side, after learning of Zaki's failure, Cielo drove directly to a hotel. He entered the hotel and went straight to Zaki's room, knocking on the door.
The door opened quickly, and Cielo stepped into the room.
"Mr. Cielo, I'm really sorry, my mission failed..." Zaki's expression was grim. Both of his disciples were dead, and he hadn't managed to kill Aida. This ti, he felt like he had been wasting his ti.
"Zaki, Zaki, what can I say to you?" Cielo's face displayed extre frustration, almost gritting his teeth as he spoke.
"It was my carelessness; I didn't expect that kid Connor to be so formidable. When I shot at Aida twice, he managed to dodge both tis. I even had a confrontation with him..." Zaki said in a hushed tone.
"What's Connor's skill level like?" Cielo hurriedly asked.
"Considering his age, his skills are exceptional, but he's not my match..." Zaki replied.
Upon hearing this, Cielo's expression seed even more incredulous. He asked, "If you're saying Connor wasn't your match, why didn't you kill him? Even if you couldn't get Aida, eliminating Connor would have been enough!"
"Because the situation was extrely urgent at the ti, I simply didn't have the ti. If I had more ti, I could have killed him for sure!" Zaki explained.
"Back then, I was worried you might ss this up, and I told you to be careful. But in the end, you still botched it..." Cielo sighed.
"Mr. Cielo, you shouldn't worry too much. Right now, that kid Connor should still be in Yanjing. I still have a chance!" Zaki's expression was still, and he seed deeply unsatisfied.
"If you try to harm Aida now, won't everyone know it's who wants her dead? You've failed twice in a row; I'm afraid Connor is now prepared. If you go now, you might just be walking into a trap. Wait for my instructions!" Cielo commanded.
"Alright..." Zaki had no choice but to agree and nodded lightly.
Cielo cast a helpless look at Zaki and then walked out of the room.
Half an hour later, Cielo returned to the Collie family residence.
Shereen knew Cielo had returned and rushed to his room, asking softly, "Cielo, how did things go?"
"What else could happen? That Zaki is simply useless. He had such a great opportunity, and he still managed to fail. I'm truly exasperated!" he said, deeply dejected.
"What? He failed?" Her expression showed surprise.
"Yes, Aida was rescued by Connor. I don't understand what's going on with these two. Could it be that Aida has really tead up with Connor?" He couldn't comprehend the situation.
Shereen, looking at Cielo hesitated for a couple of seconds before saying, "If that's really the case, I have a way to deal with Aida."
"What thod?" he asked.
"It's quite simple. Don't you have the pictures of Connor and Aida going to the hotel together? Just show those pictures to your grandfather. He despises Connor so much that if he finds out his granddaughter is involved with soone like Connor, he definitely won't spare Aida. By then, even if she doesn't die, she won't pose a threat to you anymore!" Shereen, being rather clever, quickly thought of a counterasure.
"But I think Aida will definitely find an excuse to explain the situation. She's not stupid; how could she admit to such a thing?" he said sowhat puzzled.
"Now that Aida isn't ho, she doesn't have the opportunity to explain anything," she replied calmly.
"Right, Aida has no chance to explain things now!" He nodded in agreent.
"You must get those pictures to your grandfather before Aida returns. But you mustn't let him know that you handed over the pictures personally..." she advised.
"Why not?" he asked.
"My dear son, why do you think? Your grandfather has always been aware of the competition between you and Aida. If he finds out that you sent these pictures, he might think you're deliberately framing Aida. The results could backfire. So, it's better if you keep it from him," she explained helplessly.
"Well, Mom, you're indeed very clever..." He chuckled when he heard Shereen's words.
"Alright, you better get going and handle these matters quickly," she said calmly.
Cielo imdiately took out his phone and began making calls.
On the other side, Connor and Aida stayed in the place arranged by Qin Lan. The house had two bedrooms, and there were Rachel's people nearby. Therefore, he finally felt he could relax and get a good night's sleep.
Due to the relatively safe situation, and because Cielo had no idea that they were staying there, Connor and Aida didn't share the sa room. However, she found it difficult to sleep alone. After everything they had been through in the past few days, she felt anxious every ti she closed her eyes.
After tossing and turning for several minutes, she put on her shoes and walked to his room. She hesitated for a long ti before finally knocking on the door.
"Connor, are you asleep?" she asked softly.
"I just fell asleep, but you woke up. What's the matter?" he asked.
"Well, you see, I'm feeling a bit scared being alone in my room. Can I sleep in your room?" she asked cautiously.
