Half an hour later, everyone had finished eating.
Connor took out his phone and called Reena, asking her to handle the matters at school. After all, Justin and Brook needed the school's permission to leave since they were still in class.
After a few hours of hustle, Connor finally helped Justin and Brook sort out the school-related issues. Then, he called Dominic and Spencer.
He knew that they were also about to go for internships. Originally, he had planned to directly arrange them into Thomas's company. However, he realized he needed trustworthy people and also wanted them to gain valuable experience. So, he invited them to join him in Yarlford.
Dominic and Spencer were Connor's most important friends, so when they received his call, they imdiately agreed without hesitation.
After a full day of busy work, he finally had so ti to rest. But even before he got back ho, he received a call from Vanessa.
"Connor, what are you busy with?" she asked in a soft voice.
"Miss already?" he playfully asked.
"I've already cooked. Are you planning to eat at my place or sothing?" she continued.
"Wait for at ho. I'll co over right now!" he said.
"Sure!" She laughed happily and hung up the phone.
Connor knew that once he went to Yarlford, he might not be able to return for a long ti. After all, Yarlford was far from Newtown, and Vanessa was managing the club and casino. So, he decided to spend quality ti with her.
Although he knew he was being unfair to Freya by doing this, sotis he couldn't control himself. Since things had already happened, he had to take responsibility for Vanessa.
...
In the blink of an eye, two days passed.
Connor stayed at Vanessa's place for two days. anwhile, Queta's efficiency was astonishing. The company was registered, nad "Stormbound Real Estate," and had already set up operations. She had brought so capable subordinates she trusted to Yarlford, so Stormbound Real Estate was not lacking staff for now. Moreover, she had directly rented an office building in the most prosperous area of Yarlford, which would serve as the headquarters.
Once Connor learned that everything was ready on Queta's end, he didn't delay any further. He brought Justin, Brook, Dominic, Spencer, and others to Yarlford by plane.
He knew he was about to face the most powerful opponent he had encountered so far. As a result, he was quite nervous throughout the journey.
On the other hand, Justin, Brook, Dominic, and Spencer were very relaxed. Coupled with their youthful vigor, the four quickly bonded.
Flying from Newtown to Yarlford took about half a day. Since they departed in the morning, by the ti they arrived, it was already three or four in the afternoon.
After landing, Connor called Queta and inford her that he had arrived.
She had already brought so people to wait outside the airport.
Although he knew she was coming to pick him up, he wasn't sure about the cars' arrangent. This scene might not have surprised him if it happened in Newtown, but this was Yarlford's airport. Logically, she had just arrived in Yarlford, so there shouldn't be such a grand reception.
"These cars are here to pick... to pick us up?" Justin stamred, looking at Connor.
"I don't know..." he replied helplessly.
On the road in front of the airport waiting hall, over a dozen rcedes-Benz G-Wagons were neatly parked, each accompanied by two bodyguards. They exuded an exceptionally imposing aura.
"This is quite a show, isn't it? Quite impressive," Brook said excitedly.
"Yeah, Connor, it's just the few of us. You didn't have to make such a big fuss, did you?" Dominic also comnted.
"Why would I need so many cars to pick you guys up? I didn't arrange these cars. Let make a call." After saying this, Connor was about to take out his phone to make a call.
"Move aside! Clear the way for those guys ahead!" However, at that mont, a voice sounded behind Connor's group.
Connor was briefly taken aback, then turned to look. A group of bodyguards in black suits hurried toward them.
The leading bodyguard pushed Justin and the others aside.
Before Connor and the others could comprehend what was happening, these bodyguards had already ford two rows, creating a passage in the middle.
"What are these people doing? Why do they have the right to push us aside?" Dominic, who was pushed to the side, seed sowhat discontented.
"Yeah, who are these people?" Justin also seed to be a bit frustrated.
However, the next mont, an extrely stunning woman with a fit body slowly walked out of the crowd, holding a brown teddy bear.
The appearance of the alluring woman instantly attracted the attention of the male onlookers. It was clear that she was the person these bodyguards were welcoming.
The woman's attire was quite alluring. She had light makeup on her face, delicate and enticing features. Her long, wavy hair cascaded casually down her shoulders, revealing her fair and slender neck. She wore a white fitted skirt with a black waistband, accentuating her already slender waist, and she had high-heeled shoes on her feet. Her exquisite face combined with the black wavy hair gave off an indescribable allure.
