At this mont, a sense of disappointnt spread across Aida's face. After taking a deep breath, she fell silent.

"Brace yourself, they're coming again..."

Connor suddenly spoke up.

Upon hearing this, Aida grabbed onto the handrail without hesitation.

"Bang!"

A loud noise resounded.

Bill's car once again crashed heavily into the back of Connor's car.

The vehicle shook violently.

Although Connor's rcedes had good quality, Bill's car had been extensively modified. After enduring two collisions, Bill's car remained unscathed—its appearance unchanged. However, Connor's car had started to deform, with the wheels misaligned, causing his speed to decrease.

"If they keep ramming us like this, we'll both die in this car..." he said.

Upon hearing this, Aida's expression turned helpless. She didn't know what to say at this point.

"I thought I might be able to survive with your help, but I didn't expect Albert to be this ruthless. He's even disregarding his own daughter..."

Gritting his teeth, he continued.

Aida's expression turned exceptionally ugly. She hadn't anticipated this outco. Her life was now tied to Connor's—if he survived, she might have a chance, but if he died, she would likely perish as well.

"Now, what's your plan?" she asked in a low voice.

"What else can I do? I'll try to drive to a crowded area. With more people around, they won't dare to go too far," he replied helplessly.

He realized that he had made the wrong choice. If he had exchanged the hostage and brought Albert out, the situation wouldn't be so dire.

"Bang!"

Right at that mont, Bill's car once again collided forcefully with his vehicle.

This ti, the damage seed even worse. He knew he might not be able to make it to the downtown area. If his car took another hit, it might beco completely unusable.

"We can only take a risk now..."

Connor's expression turned resigned as he sighed, then he made a turn and parked the car by the roadside.

In front of him was a large square. However, since it was nearing midnight, and this area was not part of the downtown, very few people were around. But he had no other options left.

"Miss Aida, you might have to cooperate with a bit more," he said in a low voice.

"How do you want to cooperate?" she asked.

Connor reached for the door handle, opened the door, and stepped out of the car. Afterward, he pulled her out of the vehicle and held her close, a dagger pressing against her slender and fair neck.

She looked at him with resignation but didn't resist.

Taking a deep breath, he silently awaited the arrival of Bill and his n.

At this point, he knew his car was completely ruined. It could stall at any mont, or if it didn't stall, it might be rendered immobile by the impact of Bill's car. That's why he had stopped the car and brought Aida out with him.

Now, he was gambling. He wanted to see if Albert truly intended to abandon his daughter.

He couldn't believe that Albert could be so heartless, to disregard even his own daughter's life.

A few seconds later, Bill's car also pulled over by the roadside.

Bill, Hardik, and Gary got out of the car.

The expressions on these three faces were still tense. They didn't know what Connor was planning, so they had to keep a close eye on him.

Bill's gaze was ice-cold as he looked at Connor. He had suffered substantial losses due to Connor's appearance.

After all, he was the captain of the security team, and Connor's intrusion into the secret room was his failure. Therefore, he would be held accountable for this. But if he could kill Connor, Albert might not be too harsh in his punishnt for the incident.

Connor was also assessing him. He could sense that Bill wasn't an ordinary person. At the very least, Bill's aura seed unfathomable, indicating that his cultivation might be advanced.

"Why aren't you running?" Bill assessed Connor with a cold glance and spoke in a low voice.

Connor took a deep breath and replied expressionlessly, "What do you an?"

"Don't you know what I an?" Bill retorted coolly.

"I've said it before. As long as I can leave safely, I'll release this woman. But it seems like you have no intention of letting go," Connor continued.

Upon hearing Connor's words, Bill couldn't help but sneer, then he calmly stated, "Kid, are you a bit too naive? When you intruded into the secret room, you entered Chen's forbidden territory. From the mont you entered that room, you were as good as dead!"

"Aren't you afraid that I'll kill this woman? If you keep following , I'll kill her right now!" Connor shouted loudly.

Bill looked at Aida helplessly, but didn't say anything.

His attitude made it clear that Albert had genuinely given up on Aida.

Bill didn't want this outco, as his relationship with Aida had been quite good. If he could save her, that would be the best option. However, if he couldn't rescue her, there was nothing he could do. He was just the captain of the security team, obligated to follow Albert's orders.

Since Albert had decided to abandon Aida, Bill had no choice either.

"Are you planning to abandon this woman?" Connor asked Bill in a low voice.

Taking a deep breath, Bill looked at Aida and said, "Miss, this man took sothing very important from the secret room. Therefore, Mr. Albert has ordered us to kill him at all costs."

"And you don't care about my life?" Aida asked expressionlessly.

"Miss, this is Mr. Albert's command. I am just following orders," Bill said helplessly.
